((Did I catch the Butterfree or not? If so, stats please)) Frantically trying to get the two Pokemon away, Kalina called upon Solaris and Lunar. "Help me!" she cried, cowering slightly. Immediately, the two Pokemon got to work, using Confusion to try and get the bird types away from their trainer. <Leave Kalina alone!> they yelled in unison.

(( Stats? You got it!
Species: Butterfree Name: Type: Bug/Flying Ability: Compoundeyes Level: 14 Attacks: Confusion, Stun Spore, Poison Powder, Sleep Powder Gender: Pick, but I put up the female sprite. Feel free to change it. ^^
)) Both flying types were struggling against the psychic type's power, but were refusing to give in to their strength. Crying constantly while pushing against the attacks, the Spearow breaking free after deciding to use a dark type attack, called Pursuit on Lunar. The Starly finally got out of the Confusion attack, though very annoyed by the damage that was done. With a small snort it began letting out copies of itself around the field, making it look like a flock of 6 Starly were out to attack Solaris and Lunar. The real one flew towards Soloris after using Double Team, and began to use a Wing attack on it. Another one backing it up behind it while the others looked like they were attacking Lunar.

Unable to tell the real one from the copies, Solaris was hit by the Wing Attack (though it wasn't very powerful). Lunar managed to avoid the Pursuit thankfully and began to spin around like Staroulder would, firing Rock Throw in multiple directions. Solaris decided to use a Fire Spin in an attempt to trap one of the Pokemon. Meanwhile, Kalina had sunk underneath a tree and fainted, unable to cope with being attacked that randomly.

Several of the Starly copies were thrown out of existence from the Rock Throw attack, only leaving two of them along with the original Spearow and Starly. Out of the two real Pokemon, only the Spearow found itself pushed away from the heat of battle from the attack. It would be hard not to hit it, since it stook out like a sore thumb through the blurs of grey and white.
The Super Effective strike wasn't enough to send the bird out of battle, only temporarily out of the air. Pushing itself back up from the ground, the bright red and brown colored bird let out a sharp Growl at their enemies. The real Starly found itself in an even bigger problem, getting stuck in the violent vortex of flames.
Unable to escape without getting charred, the stubborn bird used its clones as a distraction around Solaris. Having itself use Double Team from within the fire trap to try and distract its opponents until it found a way out of this Fire Spin.

Both Solaris and Lunar were affected by the Growl, causing their attack power to lower. Knowing that Rock Throw wasn't going to help much now, the two of them decided to use a Double Confusion on Spearow. They didn't bother with the Starly, seeing as something was caught in the Fire Spin (they both assumed it was the real one, a risky move to be sure)

Knowing that there wasn't anything it could do, the Starly clones merely flew around the Solrock and Lunatone, not giving them a single scratch. Only as annoying as flies, however. Though they really didn't care about what happened to the Spearow, they ended up taking most of the Confusion attack. Leaving no more clones int he area, and the Spearow with lessened injuries.
<This is getting rough...> The hardy but weary looking Spearow grumbled to itself as it pushed its light body off of the ground, flying past the trapped Starly as it charged forward to attack Solaris. Having no particular favorite to attack, it used a speedy and unavoidable Aerial Ace.

Being unable to dodge, Solaris took the Aerial Ace head on, not taking a lot of damage from it. But now that Spearow was at a close enough range, Solaris used a Rock Throw to attempt to hit the Spearow. Lunar just smiled as she watched the fight, deciding to use Rock Throw straight down the centre of the Fire Spin.

Speedy Spearow was unable to dodge the attack. It collided with the rock head-on, knocking it off it's course. It did a backflip mid-air, and tried desperately to regain it's balance. Lopsided and unhappy, it was forced to make an emergency landing on the ground, and glared daggers at both rock-types. <That wasn't very nice!> It screeched.
Between the wall of flames and the rocks crashing down on top of it, Starly stood little chance. Eyes rolling back into it's head, it's charred body lay on the ground, unmoving.
A figure cloaked by the bushes smirked. Someone had taken great care not to be seen, going so far as to dress entirely in green. "You've gotten better," he mumbled to himself, making sure it wasn't loud enough for anyone to hear.

<Neither was you attacking my trainer!> Solaris yelled, attacking with Fire Spin. Meanwhile, Lunar had taken a more defensive position to try and protect Kalina while using Confusion on the Spearow. Kalina could feel the presence of another person, but she decided to stay silent for now.

Already on the ground, it was nearly impossible for the spunky Spearow to avoid being pummeled by the attacks. Feathers smoking slightly from the flames, it finally surrendered to the power of the two pokemon. <Fine... You win...> It managed to squawk before collapsing.
The figure in the bushes shifted into a standing position, cursing lightly as he stepped on a twig. "Shit."
Spearow and Starly have been defeated! Each participating pokemon have gained 2 levels! To attempt a capture, toss a pokeball! Or leave their sorry, loser asses behind!

Smiling, Kalina turned towards the bushes and returned her two Pokemon. "It's no use in hiding" she said with a laugh. "I knew you were there the second you arrived. After all, that's what happens when you share a very close bond with the person, isn't that right Syl?" She took out a new Pokeball and released her brand new Pokemon; a Mesprit.

A cough. Then Syl's messy red-topped head poked out from behind the bush. "Ehehe... Trying to sneak up on you is like trying to discuss economics with a monkey..." He muttered, shuffling out of hiding and giving her a quick kiss on the cheek.
Golden eyes observed the Mesprit head to tails. "Well... It's no Sen, but pretty nice. Where'd you get it?"

"It just came to me one day" Kalina admitted, shrugging her shoulders. "I don't really know where it came from. I really want to give it a name, but I can't think of a really good one like your Mesprit's names. So, do you think you could give me a hand?" The Mesprit floated around Syl dizzily, still trying to get the hang of levitating.

"I see... Well, I just gave mine random names that have absolutely no meaning. Everyone except Sen has a four-letter name... Auto, Fuse, Dire, and so on. There are plenty of names I wanted to use if I ever got more... Nano, Bode, Duet, Rise..." He reached out his hand to poke the Mesprit cautiously. "This one's still a baby... How cute."
Syl couldn't help it. For all of his attempted-manliness, he was still a sucker for Mesprits.

Kalina smiled and helped the baby Mesprit land on Syl's shoulder. "Well, she certainly seems to have taken a liking to you" she said with a large smile as she watched the Pokemon curl up and fall asleep on Syl's shoulder. "You're both so cute together. And it's even cuter when all of us are together. You, me, the kids and all our Mesprit. By the way..." She felt a little hesitant with this next question. "How are the kids doing?"

Syl held back a laugh. "Oh didn't I tell you? I executed them one by one and fed them to my Tyranitar... I could have sworn I told you. Yeah, they started to really piss me off. Throwing up, crying all the time, calling me daddy. Seriously man, what was up with that?"
He paused, studying his wife's expression closely.

The first thing that Syl saw from Kalina's face was just a stunned expression. There's no way he'd ever do that to his own children...would he? Subconsciously, Kalina began to back away from Syl, tears forming in her eyes. Looks like she actually thought he was serious.

"Sweetie, I'm just kidding... Come on, I wouldn't do something like that," It was hard for him not to laugh. He hadn't played a cruel joke on someone in far too long, and he had jumped on the first opportunity, regardless of the recipient. "The kids are fine, my Mesprits are watching them. I visited them yesterday, and man. They're getting so big..." Syl took a few steps towards her, and scooped her into his arms.

Crying heavily, Kalina began to punch him in the chest slightly. "Don't ever...joke about...that again!" she cried out, feeling horrified that Syl would say such a thing, even if it was a joke. "Please Syl, I'm so worried about not being with the kids, it haunts me every single day. Please...don't ever do that again."

He smiled, tightening his grip on her tiny body. Pressed against her chest, he remembered how small she felt, how fragile she really was. It was almost like the first time he'd hugged her.
"I'm sorry darling, I won't do it again. I've just been so lonely..." He sighed, planting a kiss on the top of her head. "You know what that's like..."
