Sam was ready for whatever attack was sent his way and he quickly yelled at his pokemon to dodge it <"Dodge the attack Ledyba!">. Sure the Ledyba did not understand human language but he had been captured before so he did know what dodge meant. He quickly flew up while the absorb was coming for him, dodging the blow and then he flew straight again, hardening his body to tackle the Cacnea once more. The Ledyba was happy that it had not suffered any damage in this battle besides a few thorns from tackling the Cacnea. They were more annoyance than anything else. He proudly said to himself: "Take that old trainer! I am definitely proving myself to be a worthy pokemon. Look how I'm handling this Cacnea right now! He proudly said to himself while charging full speed ahead to tackle the Cacnea once more. ::Ledyba:: Dodged the Absorb by flying up in the air. Then followed with a tackle on the Cacnea

Cacnea's Stalking Habit{ Cacnea } ConfusedHit by Tackle Hits self in confusion
<La~ dee dee da da~ Da da dee da di da da~> The Cacnea sang after his green orbs returned to him, giving him no additional health. Not that he had the right mindset anyways, as he wagged his arms back and forth, doing 'the wave' like a dancing champion. He could've cared less about what the Ledyba was rambling about, finding it pretty annoying since he was trying to find a rhythm to his new song.
<Ow! Smarts!> The Cacnea exclaimed as the Tackle dug into his spikes, knocking him right down on his behind due to his lack of balance. Had he been thinking straight, he probably could've dodged the move. Grunting in annoyance from the blow, suddenly he found himself filled with rage. What was with that attack? His mind wasn't working-- he couldn't see why this was all happening!
His vision didn't seem as good, he tried to add one plus one and could only think about flowers, and it all didn't make sense! The frustration was enough for him to shoot out a random poison sting straight up in the air, only for it all to fall on himself. Ow.

The Ledyba stood there laughing at the sight of the Cacnea and Sam could not help but laugh at the misfortune this pokemon was going through right now. But he knew that the supersonic would ware out soon as he could only be confused for so long so the Ledyba chose not to attack this turn but instead to send another wave of supersonic air at the Cacnea in case the attack wore off so he can confuse him once more... If it did not wear off then he would have wasted a turn, but it was worth it because he did not want his Ledyba flying into a booby trap and being left open and vulnerable.
He quickly commanded his Ledyba to use supersonic again. <"Quick Ledyba, his confusion will go away soon so shoot another supersonic his way to confuse him once more!>". The Ledyba had not been along humans long enough to understand most of that. But he did pick up on that one key word (supersonic) and thus shot another supersonic wave at the direction of the Cacnea.
He waited there in case the pokemon were to attack him...

Cacnea's Stalking Habit{ Cacnea } =Snapped Out of Confusion= Uses Poison Sting on Ledyba
Several of his tiny poisonous stingers were stuck in his body, only adding to his spiky appearance as he stomped around in a fit. The Cacnea was growing a little tired, but he was getting much too angry with himself from his lack of understanding. He even heard laughter, and could only assume that they were laughing at him. The Supersonic waves hit him, but appeared to have no effect.
At least, they seemed to do the opposite on him. Something seemed to click in the Cacnea's mind, and suddenly he stopped moving, only sending a venomous glare at the Ledyba and his trainer. Make a fool out of the trickster, dare they?
He would have none of that. Raising up one of his arms to take aim at the bug type, several of his spikes started to glow a faint purple, building up with poison. Then he shot them out, most aimed at the bug type while a few stray ones went into the trees and the ground.

The poison stings hit the Ledyba who got pushed back a little... more surprised than anything else that this pokemon was able to attack him than anything else. Sam noticed that he stopped moving around so the supersonic had finally cleared so he told his Ledyba to use another supersonic at him.
<"Ledyba, use another supersonic to confuse the Cacnea again">. His Ledyba understood the order of supersonic but wanted to impress his trainer more so he started to charge at it with a supersonic.
"I don't know if this supersonic will work after he had already witnessed one beforehand, and the fact that the other previous one didn't work... So I will try to tackle him from the side if he dodges the attack". Ledyba said to himself...
He took a risk here as he became a sitting duck for any attack if his strategy didn't work, but he took the chance to knock the pokemon out with this combination... Sam looked on, a little confused at what the pokemon was doing but he allowed the pokemon to do what he wanted to...
::Ledyba:: Shot another supersonic and geared to tackle to the side in case the Cacnea avoided the attacks

Cacnea's Stalking Habit{ Cacnea } ConfusedHit by Tackle Uses Poison Sting on Ledyba
<Awww, come on! Enough with the confusing!> He spat as the Ledyba was commanded to use another Supersonic. He might've been wild, but he picked up on the cues from the trainer. He hissed in annoyance as the Ledyba fluttered around him, just planning the best angle to make his move. How annoying.
The Supersonic managed to hit him this time, even if it was slightly more than a 50/50 chance. Groaning with annoyance as his thought process began to dull, he knew he had to start making attacks. Trying to keep that in mind as the Ledyba tackled him, he let out a weak grunt, finding it harder to endure attacks than before.
<Take...a dose of this.> He spat, shooting another weak spray of Poisonous Stingers from the spikes on his body. If he could even poison this thing, then being confused wouldn't be such a big deal...right?

The Ledyba easily dodged this set of poison stings simply by flying up... His second dodge in this match and while the Cacnea was still confused, he heard Sam tell him to tackle him again.
<"Finish him off! One more tackle!"> Thus Ledyba ran right at the Cacnea one more time, attempting to tackle him once more and hopefully ending the battle after this tackle. This was a nice match but it has gone on long enough... this Cacnea was obviously injured and did not have much more left.
The Ledyba flew down with his head pointed at the Cacnea's head... hopefully to give the finishing blow with this last tackle.
::Ledyba:: Dodged the Poison Sting by flying up. Then flew down to give him a crushing tackle.

Venturing to Route 1... sharpening some claws
The Cacnea was still having trouble snapping out of confusion but he could still see the bright colors of his opponent. He saw him coming down from the sky and quickly made a jump in any direction away from where he stood. ::cacnea:: <"Ha ha ha! What a thrill! Take this!"> said the Cacnea. He spun around and began to fire poisonous stingers out from both of his arms in random directions. He hoped to be able to strike the Ledyba with at least a couple stingers to poison it. He was the spinner. This would probably only add to his confusion and make it worse but he didn't care. He just wanted a reason to spin. Mood: Delighted - Cacnea dodged the attack!
- Cacnea used Poison Sting on Ledyba!

Ledyba was annoyed that the Cacnea dodged him, and he felt he was being mocked so he quickly charged at the Cacnea ready to tackle him. He got hit by the poison stings but it did not stop him from his attack at all... He just continued to drive in at the thorny pokemon and the damage he received were minimal to what he planned to do to this Cacnea when he hit him.
Sam just watched in amazement as he saw his pokemon take all those hits. He quickly shouted out loud: <"Be careful Ledyba! But I believe in your!">. Ledyba did not understand the words at all but he did like the excitement in his trainer's voice and he smiled as he charged the Cacnea hoping to end this battle once and for all while it was spinning.
The poison stings would slow him down, but it won't badly injure him by any standard as he had only taken little to no damage at all so far in the battle. The Cacnea on the other hand would feel the effects if his attack landed.
::Ledyba:: Charged at the Cacnea, ignoring the poison stings as he planned to hit the pokemon with a tackle. If he gets poisoned, so be it, he wanted to take the pokemon out right now

Venturing to Route 1... sharpening some claws
The Cacnea definitely did not expect what came next. The Ledyba kept diving through the Poison Sting attack and slammed right into his spinning body! Not only was he still completely confused but he was struck dead-on! It hurt! He was sent flying back onto the ground on his face. ::cacnea:: <"Oof!"> he cried as he landed. A smile was still on his face as he did. There were bruises on his body now from the battle. It was tough taking all of those hits and being confused as well. He sat up on his bottom and was panting. ::cacnea:: <"You... I knew there was something about you when my eyes caught you. We could definitely be friends,"> said the Cactus Pokemon with a sly smile. He even began to chuckle hysterically.
Mood: Delighted - Cacnea was hit by Tackle!
- Cacnea is weakening! Capture is possible.
- Cacnea appears to be laughing hysterically...

Sam was a still a little mad for what the Cacnea did to him, shooting a poison sting at his toe, so he decided to tell his pokemon to hit the thorny pokemon one more time and end this fight.
<"Make him pay for messing with us! Tackle, once more Ledyba. Hit him straight on and end this fight! His Ledya obliged and quickly went straight for the Cacnea going to tackle him...
While he was going after the Cacnea he started thinking to himself... "Man... My trainer talks too much. Doesn't he understand that I do not understand human talk. He should just yell commands as the rest is "blah blah blah" to me."
He charged straight at the Cacnea hoping to end this fight once and for all. He was having a lot of fun but he also wanted the victory to show himself that he was getting better...

The Cacnea's hysterical laugh ended as he was hit with the Ledyba's tackle. Crashing to the ground with a powerful thud he flung himself in too the air and landed on his front first. Closing his eyes he gave a small laugh before fainting, lying there, resting as capture would await the small and cute Cacnea. ::Cacnea:: Hit by Tackle Fainted, Capture? +1 Level to Ledyba

Sam just went over to hug his Ledyba real quick after defeating the Cacnea and he quickly said to his bug pokemon.
<"You were fantastic. You are so strong and I am so proud of you!">. Being a lady bug, who are known to be able to feel emotions the Ledyba was extremely happy and very excited when he felt the emotion coming from his trainer.
He himself said out loud: "I finally found a home. This is where I belong.". And Sam decided to return him to his pokeball and continue on his journey. He was getting close to the end of Route 1, he could almost see the next city...
<"Hm... I wonder what is this next city? Very interested in finding out..."> Sam said, but his journey was not over yet. He still had a few more pokemon to catch or defeat, and he still had to get his pokemon a few more level ups...
His Gligar smiled at him and he quickly told his Gligar... <"Now it is your turn to get stronger."> while smiling at his pokemon.
The Gligar did not really understand, but saw his trainer smiling at him so he himself said "Now it is my turn to get stronger."
And they continued to walk
::Ledyba:: Mood: Happy, found a home.
::Gligar:: Mood: Happy, ready to battle

<BOOOO YAAA!> Cried a voice throughout the route. In the middle of the route was two Pokemon. A Pidgey happily was dancing as a fainted Wurmple laid in the road. <That's right, I'm unstoppable! No one can defeat me!> he then did a victory dance across the route, as he danced he noticed a Trainer was coming his way. Oh boy oh boy oh boy! This was his time to shine. He hopped over to the Trainer and punched his wing in the air. <Come on, battle me! Not like you have a chance to win but let's goooo!> he was very hyper it seemed.
::pidgey:: Wants to battle.

Sam was surprised to see a Pidgey fly right on him and stick his wing out... And his Gligar was not too happy about it. He quickly pushed the Pidgey to the side and wanted to battle this Pidgey for disrespecting his trainer like that. The Gligar quickly smirked at the Pidgey saying: "I will fight you. And beat you to show you are not invincible Sam looked on and thought the two were getting alone, oblivious to their language... But then he saw his Gligar start make his body denser and rougher, and he even rushed at the Pidgey with his claws glowing... He was confused for a minute there... And he said quietly: <"Um... Gligar, why are you attacking this random pokemon?"> but his Gligar had already committed to his attack and ignored his trainer. ::Gligar:: (Competitive) Used Harden and then rushed at the Pidgey with a Metal Claw

Yes! The Pidgey got the exact reaction he wanted out of the Gligar! He swiftly dove out of the way of the attack. He then took off into the air again and observed the Gligar for a moment. ::pidgey:: <"Ohh! How about that? Tsk, tsk. You should practice that attack,"> he jeered. He smirked at the Gligar; nothing strange like that is any different from the other Pokemo he had beaten in this forest area. Ever since he left his little nest, he had to fend for himself so it was only natural that he would be experienced in survival! Now it was time to see if a Pokemon captured by a human has the same kind of expertise! <"I wonder if the human's pet Pokemon has even a sliver of a chance to beat me,"> wondered the Pidgey out loud. With that, he whipped out a cloud of dust towards the Gligar before diving at him with a Tackle attack.
Mood: Confident - Pidgey dodged the attack!

The Gligar was hit by the sand attack but being that he himself could also use sand attack it did not affect him too much. He just used his super good hearing, which most bats have because most in real life are blind... And tried to hear where the Pidgey was coming. When the Pidgey was close enough he would throw sand at it to dodge it's tackle to show that he too can play that game. He knew that the Pidgey had Keen Eye so it wouldn't affect the pokemon, but the point was to have him tackle sand instead of the Gligar.
Then the Gligar began to shoot out poison stings at the Pidgey from a distance. He shot it in a circle as he was still trying to clean the sand out of his eyes so could not take good aim at the Pidgey. It made the attack less effective, but did make the chances of it hitting go up.
Sam looked on as he saw the two pokemon fighting. He just considered this to be another fight for his Gligar and did not put much thought into it so he began to encourage his pokemon.
<"Yeah you got this Gligar. Keep up the good work!"> He said to his pokemon while the Gligar was sending out poison stings in the air
::Gligar:: Hit by Sand Attack but dodged the Tackle with his own Sand Attack. Then sent out Poison Stings in all direction (lessens impact but gives better chance of hitting, especially when blinded)

The Pidgey was struck by the Poison Sting, the spikes digging into his feathers he then staggered backwards as he shook his head. <That's right! Bring. It. On!> he then moved his wing as to say 'Bring it'.
He then slashed his talons at the ground, kicking up some dust at the eyes of the Pokemon, he then went into a running spree in a Tackle. He then jumped at him in hopes of landing on top of his back.
::pidgey:: hit by Poison Sting! Used Sand-Attack and Tackle!

While the Pidgey threw another sand attack at the Gligar, he started to freak out as he had just cleaned his eyes. Sam calmed him down by telling him to use Metal Claw. He was blinded so he could not see, but since this Pidgey had been using physical attacks so far, he took this as a chance to strike him without seeing. <"Gligar, use Metal Claw on your back when it gets close to you.">. Gligar knew he couldn't see but when he was struck by the Tackle that was when he was going to unleash his Metal Claw at the Pidgey that would be on his back. This hopefully would buy him some time as he cleaned out his eye some more to remove the sand. Sam looked on in anticipation, hoping his strategy worked and the Pidgey would get hit hard by the Metal Claw attack. The problem with combination strategies were that it gave the opposition time to prepare a counter, and that was his counter. He was going to hit it while it was close to him... Hit by Sand Attack (Accuracy -2), Hit by Tackle, Used Metal Claw at the Pidgey while it was close to him

Sliced across the chest with a spray of blood and feathers, Pidgey recoiled with a hiss as the glowing claws sliced him. Blood dripped onto the dirt trail and the snow covered grass. Really it was more of a flesh wound than anything else, but by Arceus' plates it hurt. He ahdn't been in a battle since ferocious since he had fought and lost to his brother. Oh the humiliation that would invoke within him. His reputation within the community would be dashed beyond repair. >That all ya got, ya big purple n purple pansy?!< he spat challengingly, getting back a little to kick a barrage of sand at the Gligar's face, before shooting in as fast as he could to try and slam into the Gligar with his plump, feathery bulk. ::pidgey:: Pidgey used Sand Attack and Tackle.
