Sam told his Gligar to dodge this next attack also which was coming at him and that it was time to finish him off soon... <"Gligar, dodge the sand and while the Pidgey is charging at you directly hit him with a Metal Claw again.">
Gligar got out of the way of the sand and he began to metallicize his claws once more... Aiming for a crushing blow right on Pidgey's back to cut him up and leave him out for the battle... They were ready to show the Pidgey that he chose a bad person to fight with this time...

::pidgey:: Pokemon encounter ! Pidgey gave a shriek as the smashing claw whacked into the arch of his back, doing terrible damage. However, he was definitely not out for the count - he could probably last a few more attacks before he fell to this beast.
Dissapointment that both of his attacks had missed did not affect him too badly. He flapped to the side, then fixed the Gligar with a determined stare. Then, feeling the strength rising in him, he flapped his wings and launched his petite, feathered body at the Gligar in another Tackle.

Sam told his Gligar to end this right now... His Gligar was not badly hurt from the battle, as opposed to the Pidgey. He wanted to make the Pidgey feel the pressure and give him a good metal claw...
<"Gligar, metal claw at the Pidgey now. Hit him good! Hit him hard!">. His Gligar was whammed with the tackle but his claws were glowing right before he was hit and he was swinging it at the direction of the Pidgey who was at such a close proximity at the moment...
The Gligar began to scream out loudly. "Ouch! You just hit me! I'm going to make you pay for that now..."[/color] and he swung his big glowing claw at the Pidgey...

Feathers of a Wing? { Pidgey } Dodges attack Responds with Sand Attack
The Pidgey was lucky that Metal Claw didn't have the best accuracy, because it swung right over his head as he flew around the Gligar's agile body. He was sizing up his opponent, realizing how close that last move was against him. Still, he believed that he had a chance fighting against the Gligar-- even if it was a bit strong for this part in the route. With a bold caw, the Pidgey flew under the Gligar in an attempt to confuse him, flying back up into the sky.
He flew straight up, going higher and higher, though the clouds continued to be out of reach. <You cannot...beat me!> He panted as his tiny wings beat against the air, then suddenly an air current pulled him into a sharp curve, and using that to his advantage, he grinned wickedly as he revealed a secret tactic-- sand hidden in his feathers! Kicking up the sand previously had gotten some stuck on him, and now was the time to use it.
<You can't beat something...you can't hit.> He exclaimed with a maniacal laugh, flinging his Sand Attack at the Gligar after his impressive aerial display. He had to prove himself...as a better flier, and a better fighter! It was his Pidgey's honor that made him fight this way!

Right when the Pidgey flew near Gligar, he suddenly laughed out loud... "I got you now!" But sadly the Pidgey flew up and out of his reach... "Darnit! You tricked me!" He said after the Pidgey flew out of site.
When the sand came at the Gligar, the Gligar was shocked and froze for a second... He could not move and was hit directly by the sand attack. He started to move back and forth, and spin around as he could not see at all... He was in big trouble as he had no vision at all... "You jerk! If I get a hold of you... You'll pay for this!" He said although it was clear that this sand was really hurting him...
Sam started to freak out... <"Gligar, what are you doing? Come on! Stop messing around.">. Sam was confused and a little worried, his Gligar had been hit with way too many sand attacks... He needed to direct his pokemon now, or else the Gligar will be in BIG trouble
::Gligar:: Hit by the Sand attack, moving around frantically... Pretty open to any attack now

Pidgey breathed a sigh of relief as he received a brief respite from the battle, preening his feathers quickly and taking a deep breath to clear his head. It wouldn't make a huge difference to his physical state, but for his mental well-being it was imperative, boosting his morale just a little. For now it was time to go back on the offensive. Wheeling into the skies again to have a quick glance at his prey, he got in close before reversing without looking back, ascending like a swing in a child's playground before swooping down again, moving his body a little to the right so that his full bulk would smash into the Gligar if the Tackle happened to make contact. ::pidgey:: Used Tackle.

The Pidgey collided right into Gligar and he was pushed back. Still dazed but also very angry after he was hit by the Pidgey... "You better watch yourself!" The Gligar said as he saw a very blurred image go right by him... He started to open up his claw and began to shoot poison stings at that direction hoping to hit the target that was there. Gligar's vision was extremely blurred at the point so it was hard to see if he hit his spot or not... Sam saw his Gligar was in trouble so he kept his mouth shut and watched the fight. He didn't want to make a sudden gesture and have Gligar think that he was Pidgey, and shoot the poison sting at him... He just waited as Gligar shot poison stings... Hit by Tackle, shot poison stings at where he thinks the Pidgey is [OOC: Since my accuracy has dropped... I made it very ambiguous for if he hit the correct spot or not]

The volley of stingers sailed through the air and Pidgey attempted to dodge. However, the speed of the attack proved to be unexpected and the stingers hit their mark. Pidgey let out a screech of pain as the needles pierced his flesh, fiery pain shooting through the wounds. Pidgey clenched his teeth to endure through the sting as he whipped up more sand into the air, hoping to obscure himself from the Gligar's view. Hit by Poison StingUsed Sand-Attack

Gligar was hit by even more sand and he began to curse out at the Pidgey in some "non-site appropriate" language... He started to curse at the Pidgey and began to try endlessly to get the sand out of his eye. He was struggling, and he was very pissed. He was wide open to an attack if the Pidgey was going to strike at him as he was trying desperately to clean his eye... Sam just stood there, did not want to anger his pokemon more so he just waited.
But Sam was alertly looking at the Pidgey, hoping that it would charge at the Gligar one more time so he can be the eyes of his pokemon and tell him to strike right when the time came. He hoped... and waited...

Pidgey's eyes narrowed at the vibrant cursing of his form. Now that was just bad sportsmanship, the one thing an honourable beast like him just didn't have time for! He would have liked to say that he didn't get provoked so easily, but the cursing had touched a nerve in the avian, and his feathered body practically bristled with frustration. Folding his wings and bending his head low, he kicked the air for momentum and shot off like a fighter jet, beak extended for maximum damage as he anticipated his beak piercing Gligar flesh with a grunt of anticipation. ::pidgey:: Pidgey used Tackle.

Sam saw the Pidgey going after his pokemon and told his pokemon to use harden to lessen the impact of the blow.
<"Gligar, use Harden. Lessen the impact of his attack.">. His Gligar was hit by the Tackle but it did not do what Pidgey had wanted as the Harden lessened the blow...
After the two collided Gligar just stayed there, still attempting to clean out his eye as he waited for the next attack. He had no way of dodging these blows right now since he was blinded... but he can lessen their attack and tire the Pidgey out with his hardened shell...

Feathers of a Wing? { Pidgey } Responds with Tackle
<You think you're strong because you can take a hit, huh?> The Pidgey hissed after realizing that his Tackle wasn't as damaging as it was in previous turns. His wings carried in him circles around the Gligar, knowing fully well that his accuracy was so low, that making any attack would prove to be difficult. Whether he had to dodge it or not was a different story completely. Maybe the Gligar could attack in the wrong direction entirely, which would've been silly.
Except he was getting unnerved, knowing that the Gligar was waiting to make a move. Waiting to attack him. Staying so sill, knowing that he was coming. It make his heart do a full dance routine to some death metal song, making the feathers on the back of his neck rise up in fear.
<I'll show you what a winner can do!> He cried out, diving to the side of the Gligar's purple body with another Tackle. He was getting so aggravated, knowing that his opponent was testing him like this.

::Gligar:: Hardened, hit by Tackle... Weakening (Possibly 40% left)
Gligar began to harden his body again to make this attack even lower than the previous one. He had lost a lot of his energy at this point and began to tire a little... He started to weaken but he still had enough in him for a few more hits at the very least... He was still cleaning his eyes but suddenly began to shoot poison stings at a random direction with his other claw. He had no idea if it hit or not as he did not look while he was shooting... He just shot, hoping for the best. And he stayed there, again cleaning his eye and anticipating Pidgey's next attack... He hoped that the bird would just make a dumb mistake and allow him to end the battle already as he was tired of all the games. The tackles began to feel like little pricks that annoyed him more than anything else after his third harden in this entire match. He began to get a little irritated but he was not going to lose his cool... The Pidgey was going to lose it first. He even began to taunt the Pidgey by screaming out loudly... "Come at me you chicken! You are worthless! I am clearly the superior of us two. So much for you win streak, it looks to be ending so so soon!". He waited for the Pidgey to respond... ::Gligar:: Shot poison sting at a random direction. Is taunting the Pidgey

The Pidgey ducked as the spikes headed over his head. He frowned and flapped his wings angrily. <Hey hey hey! I'm a winner, not a chicken!!> He yelled. To try and prove his point and show he was a winner he went flying at the purple Pokemon and tried to Tackle him head on. The Pidgey really hated being taunted, his anger got the best of him then.

Right as the Pidgey was charging the Gligar head on... Sam quickly told his Gligar what was happening and told him to use Metal Claw on the Pidgey.
<"Gligar, he's coming from the right. Dodge and use Metal Claw!">. He said to his Gligar whose claw started to glow bright white while the Pidgey was coming after him...
When the Pidgey got close enough to attack that was when Sam shouted out the order once more, so Gligar would know exactly when to dodge and use the attack he had been charging up. He took his time charging this Metal Claw up, hoping to end it with this one last attack...
Sam quickly shouted <"Go left a little... then strike down as the Pidgey's head gets near you!">[/b]
And his Gligar shifted left to avoid the attack, but then also used his Metal Claw at the direction where the Pidgey was coming... Sam hoped that this attack had connected... He was tired of this battle

The taste of victory came to Pidgey as his eyes narrowed, aiming for the Gligar. He could almost feel the satisfaction of impact against the flying devil until, at the very last second, the Gligar swooped to the left and the shining claws were brought forward. Pidgey had not time to react at all, only able to let out a screech of surprise before the Metal Claw slammed into his head. Knocked senseless, the Pidgey tumbled down to the earth. He tried to stop himself from slamming to the ground, but his wings felt heavy and his mind was starting to fog over. In the end, the Pidgey landed hard on the ground and felt no strength to get himself back up. His eyes were half-closed and glaring with as much defiance as he can toward the Gligar and Trainer. However, he knew he was defeated. Extremely WeakHit by Metal Claw critical hitAttempt to Capture?

Sam's Gligar was extremely satisfied with the victory and embraced his trainer after. He picked up his Gligar and hugged it... Although the Pidgey had not fainted yet... It was in such a weak state that he felt bad attacking it, and he did not want to capture it. So he just decided he would leave it. <"You were fan-fricking-tastic Gligar. You deserve a very nice rest as we are getting so close to the exit now. I'll just return you to your pokeball and continue going on. Hopefully we will find the end soon enough"> He said as he returned his Pokémon to his pokeball. It was exhausted after this long and grueling fight... Then he clicked on another pokeball and out came the Ledyba. The Ledyba was so excited to be out that he quickly started flying around and suddenly flew off. Sam ended up having to chase his Ledyba who was so energetic... He went looking for it everywhere but could not find it yet. Ledyba on the other hand was going off by himself, he started to look at where he was, and even hoped to find a wild Pokémon to battle nearby. And this post ends before Sam found the Ledyba... But did the Ledyba find something himself? Wondering the route by himself... Sam is looking for him

Exhaustion and relief swept over the small pidgey as it watched the trainer turn to leave. Oh thank goodness he wasn't going to be captured! With what little energy he had left the small bird scuttled off into some nearby bushes, content on getting a nice long rest. Gligar gained 1 level!
<Hohoho! So what do we have here?>From the snow shrouded bushes a group of Pokémon appeared...or was it Santa and his reindeer? The eight stantler were covered in old scars and burn marks, signs of their past battle experience. Of the group none looked particularly nice as in turn each scowled down at the tiny bug, clearly not impressed. Though they were intimidating, the one who seemed to be in charge of the crew was...a delibird? <Hmm a lost present ehh? Well come here and maybe Santa will let you join his crew...> the delibird said, gazing at the bugs shiny shell and festive red colours. Whatever this thing was it could be an interesting addition to his crew, even if only as a punching bag. Snickering to itself the delibird strode forward, looking down his beak at the five star Pokémon. This delibird was going to rule route one and either this little punk was going to join him, or experience the pain of defying The King. x 8 WatchingOffers the ledyba a chance to join his crew.

[OOC:]So do I get 1 level for making the Pidgey extremely weak to the point where it can not get up? [BIC:] Ledyba was not too interested in joining Delibird and the crew... seeing that he already had a trainer and thus he kindly refused. "I would have to kindly say no. I have a trainer and he is probably looking for me right now... Thanks for the offer though"[/color] And Ledyba motioned to fly away. He moved his wings a little and did get away from the Delibird, but he was still within sight. Will the Delibird stop him? If anything... he probably did buy enough time for his trainer to find them. Refused the offer, tried to fly away. Stop him?

(OOC: Oh sorry! Yeah that was a pretty long battle so i'll give +1 level to Gligar.) The group of stantler glanced at one another uneasily as the little present tried to run away. Oh this wasn't good....not at all. The area was eerily quiet as the ledyba made its escape, the snow in the area seeming to have made a lot of Pokémon hide where it was warm. The Susurrous(whisper filled) atmosphere was quickly interrupted though by the thick heavy footfall of the delibird, as it galumphed after the ledyba. <Hey! Did I give you permission to leave punk? You clearly aren't very prescient if you didn't know that denying me, meant trouble!>This little bug had a lot of bravado, but without melding that trait with some real strength and a bit of guts, simply being brave wasn't nearly enough to escape him. Lunging forward the delibird withdrew a present from its tail, chucking it at the ledyba. Used [yellow]Present[/yellow] on Ledyba! (OOC:Present can do low damage, moderate, high, or heal a Pokémon. So I colour the word present based on the damage I generate for it. So if its green its low damage, moderate damage yellow, high damage the word is red, and if it heals your Pokémon the word will be white. So in this case it did [yellow]moderate damage[/yellow] i.e about as strong as a take down or slash attack.)
