Both Sharpie and Zac cried out in surprise as the flareon bit down on sharpie. It seemed when there was another trainer in the fight things were a bit more...strategic. Chewing on his lower lip, Zac tried to figure out what he could do. Sharpie could only use leer growl and peck. In its current position though only growl would be effective, and it was unlikely that even if it worked the flareon would-- Though she'd been thrashing violently in the flareon's mouth, the teeth puncturing her flesh was simply too much. With a final squawk she fainted, going limp in the pokemon's mouth. Falling to his knees, Zac stared at his pokemon, hanging from the pokemon's mouth. Raising his pokeball, he returned his pokemon, worried that this weirdo trainer might try to make his pokemon like, eat his or something. Unsure what else to do he just sat there, staring off into space. His first battle and he'd lost. ::spearow::

[/tt] Blaze watched as the last Pokémon finally fell. " Ryuuku, are you done playing your games, now?" he asked. The large dragon opened his wings and flew over to his trainer, large nose nuzzling Blaze's face. The trainer smiled at his Pokémon. " No more running away like that, okay?" he said, stroking the pokemon's skin. " Now no more sulking. We're leaving." Blaze took a couple of empty pokeballs from his belt and returned Moon and Flare to their pokeballs. If he told Flare he was proud, Ryuuku did not hear it. The Charizard bend down to let Blaze climb on, but the trainer had one last thing to do. He walked over to the trainer. The boy was much shorter and he had no trouble looking intimidating enough. " I am Blaze Ferrio," he said. " It'd be best if you didn't forget that the Charizard you dared touch belongs to me. Got it?" He stepped closer and closer to the trainer before he was close enough to grab the pokeball on the trainer's belt, clipping off one randomly before driving his fist into Zacariah's stomach. " I'll be taking this. Think of it as payment for the privilege of riding him. Or punishment. Whichever makes you feel better." That'll teach him. Blaze backed off and walked towards Ryuuku, slipping the pokeball he had just stolen into one of his pockets. Well, no one could say he wasted his time on a loser trainer, anymore. However, no matter how much he hated this boy, he couldn't leave a trainer stranded on route one without a Pokémon to fight with, so he dropped two crystals on the ground. Satisfied that his conscience wasn't going to bite him in the arse later, he hopped onto Ryuuku's back and both of them took off, flying much more gracefully than the other trainer had. x2 [[To be used immediately. Laying on the ground, curled in a ball, Zac cried. He had been humiliated, defeated in his first ever battle, had a pokemon stolen from him, and assaulted all in a matter of minutes. His mood was ruined, his confidence shattered, and now he had to somehow talk to his pokemon and tell them that he'd failed as a trainer and one of them had been stolen.
As he lay there wondering who'd been stolen Zac did his best to get control of his tears. His pokemon needed him to be the strong one after all right? He'd always been told that by his parents, and he'd never really understood what they'd meant until now. Still, just thinking about his pokemon made it hard. Had it been Sleep? His first ever pokemon... sure it was lazy and smelled kind of funny but it was his hat! Not to mention a reliable pokemon most of the time. Then there was Sharpie. She definitely had proven her worth to the team, and though they hadn't met in the best of circumstances he really was beginning to bond with her. She'd done the best again that Blaze guy's pokemon too...did that mean he probably took her?
With a shuddering breath Zac got onto his hands and knees, trying to find the energy and courage to sit up and send out his remaining pokemon. Damn it, even if Demon had been taken he couldn't take it! Those were his pokemon after all. How could that punk and get mad at him when his charizard had started it! Had it been punished at all? No. He had been attacked by the trainer for just touching his pokemon, yet it was ok for that guy to just steal one of his? Clenching his fists Zac punched the ground. No! That jerk was going to pay for this. He'd become a strong trainer, an incredible trainer, and he'd defeat everyone of Blaze's pokemon!
"YOU'LL BE SORRY YOU EVER MESSED WITH ME!" He screamed at the already barely visible trainer and pokemon snarling slightly as he did so.
The idiot had at least left some items behind, which Zac was going to waste no time using. retrieving his two pokeballs he sent out his two remaining pokemon, sighing in relief as he saw the familiar shapes of Sharpie and Sleep appear.
"Guys...i'm so glad you're ok!" he exclaimed, hugging both pokemon tightly after he had applied both max revives to his pokemon. Though Sleep was somewhat confused, having slept through the battle, Sharpie seemed to understand, resisting the urge to attack Zac and allowing him his moment of pain.
"Guys I have some bad news..." he began, rubbing his eyes just in case any tears were trying to escape again, "That Charizard...was evil. It worked for a man named Blaze and set us up so it could steal Demon! Now I know what you're thinking, why demon? I'm not sure exactly...but I think he's in on their evil plan for world domination! Whatever his reason though we had to get revenge right? So its time to train seriously! We're going to become the greatest trainers the world has ever seen and defeat Blaze once and for all!" though it had been meant as an inspirational speech, Zac was the only one cheering after it. Sleep was already half out of it, and Sharpie, after hearing that he still believed the ledyba was a demonic pillow, just stared at him like he was stupid.
Sighing to himself Zac shook his head, and climbed to his feet. Scooping up Sleep he put the lazy pokemon back on his head where it belonged, before gesturing for Sharpie to follow them. He needed his pokemon right now so he definitely wasn't about to store them away in pokeballs right away.
With both his remaining pokemon on hand, Zac set off once more, and for once did so without any crazy antics or excessive energy.

As Zac set off again, a wild Shinx stumbled around, having just awoken from a nap. She saw Zac, trudging along, and she frowned. Why so down? She jumped in front of him, hoping he wouldn't trip on her. <Hey... Hey mister!> She squeaked. <No bein' sad!>
Shinx jumped up and down, trying to get his attention. <Why you so sad?> She repeated her previous statement a different way. She had lived with a very disencouraging family before she left them, and she didn't like it when anyone was sad.
Some said that she was crazy. Especially for jumping out at depressed new trainers. But that was her. Oh well. Some pokemon would have to deal with it.

Zac regarded the energetic pokemon in front of him blankly, without much of a response. Normally such a cool looking cheerful pokemon would have him freaking out, but not right now.
As the little thing leapt to and fro, repeatedly asking him what was wrong, Zac slowly focused on the pokemon, a small smile crossing his lips. This little pokemon reminded him of himself. Cheerful, energetic, and a little unusual, Zac wondered if he'd ever be able to get over this sadness he was feeling and be like this little thing.
"I've had a horrible day little one." he replied, falling to the ground and sitting cross legged in front of the pokemon. Sure he was tired and sitting was nice, but it was also somewhat rude to talk to someone while towering over them.
"You see, I just started out as a trainer...and a guy with a big black dragon appeared! His dragon let me ride it but the guy got mad, so he beat up my pokemon, and even stole one of them! He was really strong, and I want to get stronger so I can get my pokemon back...but i don't know where to even start." he replied, his gaze momentarily shifting upwards, watching Sharpie as she soared round and round over head.
After a moment he looked at the Shinx again, head tilting to the side slightly. "So what're you doing out here? You seem like you'd be pretty popular with the other...uh...whatever type you are."

<Dragon? Oh my god, I saw that thing! It was big! And fun! And on fire! Why was it on fire? Someone should like, put that out.> The Shinx exclaimed, pawing at the trainer's shoes as if to demand some answers out of him. Seeing that it might take more than needless prodding, the looked back up at him with a playful wiggle of her tail.
<Man, that looked so cool. I wish I could fly like that! Wouldn't it be fun to go 'WOOSH' through the sky! Come on, come on!> She cried, spinning around in circles from the sudden adrenaline rush. She was so used to forcing herself to be happy, that she often got a bit too hyper in the process. Perhaps she was also planning on letting her happiness rub off on the crushed, soulless trainer before her.
"Shinx! Shinx!" She panted, somehow turning this game of running in circles to a game of 'let's catch my tail'. She was getting a bit dizzy though, yikes. Wobbling back and forth, she looked back up at the trainer to see his reaction.

"I thought the dragon was cool too! It didn't know how to fly very well though. I think cause I was teaching it to fly better the mean guy got angry." he replied, even if the little Pokémon seemed too busy chasing its own tail to probably be paying attention.
The more he watched the little thing the more he smiled. He wasn't by any means about to forget what had just happened...but this thing was almost absurdly cute!
Smiling down at the little thing, he decided he wanted this thing on his team! Sure he had no idea what it could do...or even if it could do anything at all, but right now he needed the emotional support and neither Sharpie or Sleep seemed too eager to give it.
"Hey Shinx lets play a game!" he called out, jumping around the little pokemon, trying his best to get back to his normal energetic self.
"Come on come on! I'm sure we could find something to do right?!"
(whoops xD)

Shinx tilted her head to one side and bounced p and down twice. <Yeah, yeah! A game sounds really fun!> she exclaimed, running up to the Trainer with herlarge eyes wide and glimmering in anticipation of whatever fun she was about to experience next.
A thought occured to her as she blinked. >But... wait. What are we gonna play, mister?> she asked, blinking.

Darn looks like he had to come up with something himself! With a shrug Zac spun around, before bolting into the wild grasses. "How about a game of tag!" he called out, as he ran, having no idea at all where he was headed, but definitely not wanting to get caught!
After a few minutes of running Zac leapt into a bush, apparently forgetting the fact that people normally didn't hide during a game of tag. Rolling her eyes, Sharpie simply continued to circle overhead, keeping an eye on both the shinx and Zac.

<Tag! Tag sounds good!> The little Shinx bounded on the spot as the Trainer ran off and out of view. It took her a moment to realize he'd vanished as she continued to leap about where she stood.
<oh...> she paused for a moment and glanced around, spotting the Spearow flying over head. <Ohai!> she squeaked, bounding about beneath where the bird was flying. It seemed this Shinx was easily distracted.
After a few more moments, she came to a halt and quirked her head to one side as though in thought. <Hey... birdie! ... What's Tag? And where did that Mister go?>
She was also rather curious. He had seemed so down but she had helped to cheer him up... right!? RIGHT?! So she had to find him. They would be best friends and play together every day. Yes yes! It would be splendid.

Glancing down Sharpie noticed the little shinx wasn't playing very well. It was just kind of standing there looking around. <Great another genius to deal with...> Sharpie thought to herself, slowly circling downwards at the shinx stared obsessively at her. As she landed, Sharpie cocked her head to one side, observing the 'ditzy' pokemon. She already had one idiot to deal with, and that was more then enough. With any luck he'd forget about them and just keep hiding in that bush forever... *~*~*~* Zac's heart was racing as he sat in the bush, listening keenly for sounds of the little pokemon looking for him. He had been crouching there a few minutes now, and his legs were really starting to hurt. "Man this is no fun!" he complained, leaping to his feet and bolting from his bush hiding place. "Clearly i'm just too awesome a hider.""Shinx, hey Shinx! Where are youuu?" he called, roaming through the bushes kind of confused as to what happened to the little pokemon. Not sure what else to do, he continued to call its name, even if technically calling the person who was 'it' over to you was a really bad strategy in a game of tag. *~*~*~* The silence between Sharpie and the Shinx was short lived, as the spearow began to hear her trainer calling for the shinx. If he had his way no doubt this little pokemon would join the crew! A shudder of horror crept up the spearow's spine at the thought of those two together. <Don't go to him! He is a really sad excuse for a trainer! He's always running around, pretending he can fly, and being a goof! You don't want to deal with him. Now go run along and fi---AWK!> the bird pokemon's speech was short lived as a large form collapsed on top of it, half lidded eyes regarding the shinx in front of it. <Tag...game...chase each other...> Sleep managed to get out, before yawning in Sharpie's face. The spearow struggled under the almost dead weight of the slakoth a moment more, before falling asleep. With his mission accomplished, Sleep resumed his day long nap, snoring loudly as he lay there on top of Sharpie. ::slakoth:: ::spearow::

Shinx laughed happily as she saw Sleep falling. "Do you always fall out of the sky like this?" she asked Sleep... but it seemed he was already asleep. Not that Shinx minded. She had had fun.
As she heard the Trainer calling for her, she ran up and touched the bottom of his leg with her nose. >Tag!< she exclaimed proudly. ::shinx::

Oblivious to his own pokemon's antics, Zac had continued to call out for the little pokemon, worried it had run off for good. So he was completely unprepared for it as it appeared behind him, jumping up at his foot and deftly tagging him before he had a chance to escape.
As the electric type tagged him Zac spun on one foot, clutching at his heart before falling with a thud onto his back. The fall had been a little more painful then he'd expected, but with any luck it had the right dramatic effect.
"Oh you got me, you got me! Wow you're just too skilled Shinx!" he exclaimed, simply laying on the ground sprawled out. He couldn't just reach over and tag the shinx again after all, and besides it was kind of comfy here on the ground, once his head stopped throbbing.

Shinx laughed again as the Trainer fell down dramatically. >Wow, mister. That was really fun!< she exclaimed happily, nodding her head. >Yup yup!< She curled up beside the Trainer, yawning. Shinx was exhausted, and much as she hated to admit it, the little Flash Pokemon needed sleep soon. Her eyes were barely staying open as she spoke again.
>Let's play tag again sometime... mister. If I came with you.... could we play tag again sometime?< she yawned again, her little golden eyes watering with the sheer power of the yawn.

Zac was a little surprised when the small pokemon curled up next to him. He admittedly didn't have much experience with pokemon, but so far it had been all about battling and violence. He hadn't realised pokemon could be so nice and like friends. I haven't had any good friends in a long time...have I? he thought to himself, gazing down at shinx as she struggled to stay awake.
A smile crept across his face as he reached out, one hand gently petting the pokemon's soft fur, as he thought about the little shinx's words. Have her join his team? It really was a tempting offer, and he did really want her but was it really fair? He wasn't a good trainer it seemed, and he'd already lost one pokemon... would it happen again? Would he lead such a great pokemon to defeat? That fear gnawed at his insides, filling him with indecision. Was he actually worthy of being a pokemon trainer?
After several moments of contemplation, Zac carefully retrieved a pokeball, and placed it beside the sleepy electric type.
"If you want to come with me I promise we'll have lots of fun together. I promise to take good care of you too...and no one will steal you away..." he replied, slipping into a whisper at the end as he stared at the pokeball.
He wasn't a good trainer, he wasn't skilled, and he had next to no knowledge of pokemon, but he'd change that. He'd become the very best, like no one ever was. He would keep his promise to this little shinx, no matter what.
"Just tap that little circle on the front and you can come with me! You'll be able to nap in there too if you want, or you can come out and i'll just let you nap in my arms." he added, on the off chance she didn't know what the pokeball was. With that said he simply waited, content with whatever decision the shinx made...assuming it hadn't fallen asleep while he was talking.

Oh! Oh! Oh! Shiny red and white ball! It looked like a really cool toy that she just wanted to kick~! Giving a happy little yip, the Shinx gave the Pokeball and extra hard kick in the center, thinking that the button was a bullseye. When it opened up, for a second she thought she won the game until she was actually sucked inside of it. Snapping shut, she stared at her surroundings curiously, feeling safe and warm inside of the sphere. When she looked up, she could see the outside world in a funky shade of red.
Not putting up any kind of a fight in the slightest, the Pokeball didn't even bother to shake. A mere ding was made, signaling her capture. She wanted to be let out as soon as possible though; a nap on Zac's lap sounded really nice right about now.

"Welcome to the team Kali" Zac murmured, picking up the ball, and heading back towards the trail, wondering where the rest of his pokemon were. As he stumbled back onto the path they'd been travelling down, he was rather surprised to find his pokemon, piled up and snoring loudly.
"Sleep I can understand...but Sharpie? Guess that fight really wore them out."
Withdrawning their pokeballs, Zac watched the twin beams of red light race from the balls, one beam striking each of his sleeping pokemon. With both pokemon back in the pokeballs, Zac knew exactly what needed to be done. He had one very tired pokemon and two sleeping ones. Obviously it was time for a little bonding time! Heading towards the sound of water, Zac soon found a river. Sitting down against a willow tree by the water, the young trainer sent out all his pokemon. With Sleep to his right, Sharpie to his left, and Kali on his lap, Zac felt his own eyes begin to drift shut, quickly falling asleep like the rest of his pokemon.

::budew:: Pkmn encounter ! A lone little baby plant was on her own next to the same particular river, basking in the mild temperature and cool air. She'd been warming herself in the sun's rays: now, being heated up enough, the little Budew was ready to cool down again. Hopping down into the water, the happy little plant splashed around joyfully as the swift, yet gentle current carried her downstream.
Soon she glimpsed sight of a human and his pokemon sound asleep against a tree. Curiosity successfully piqued, the little Bud swam up to the side and jumped out of the river. Without bothering to shake stray droplets off of her cool, green skin, the plant meandered mischievously up to the sleeping boy.
Giggling maliciously to itself, the prankster little seed crept closer and flicked a few droplets of cold, crisp river water directly at Zac's face.

The water hit its mark, the cold droplets splashing against Zac's face. The look of innocence on his face quickly changed to discomfort, as he mumbled to himself, begging his father to stop spraying him with the hose. Within moments though he was back in a deep sleep, being apparently a deep sleeper. The water hadn't only struck Zac though. A few stray drops had hit lower, splashing against the sleeping shinx on his lap. The little flash pokemon's nose wiggled to and fro at the droplets of water, and combined with Zac squirming slightly in his sleep, the little pokemon slowly began to wake up. As her eyes slowly drifted open, Kali let out a big yawn, head stretching back as she simultaneously glanced over at her new friend. Seeing the water trailing down his cheeks, and the somewhat disturbed look on Zac's face brought a look of concern to her tiny features. <Hey Mister! You better not be crying again!> she exclaimed, trying to imitate the voice her own parents had used whenever she got in trouble, but failing miserably. Getting no response, she began to circle about on Zac's lap, trying to find a comfortable position. As she lay down with her head on her forepaws, Kali noticed the budew. The weird plant looked like it was having fun! As she considered what kind of game it might want to play, she noticed the weird bud on top of its head. The littler thing swayed back and forth as the budew moved... Her eyes following the bud back and forth, Kali's tail began to swish. She wanted to catch that thing! That was kind of like tag...right? With a look as mischievous as the budews, Kali slowly got ready waiting for the right moment and then... POUNCE! <Gotch ya!> she exclaimed, diving towards the poor budew, a wide feline grin on her face. ::shinx:: Kali playfully used Tackle on budew...?

Budew was turning away from zac, smiling mischievously, when she felt something snag her head tail. Probably a thorn or some sort. Trying to pull herself free, she frowned when it wasn't liberated from whatever was holding it captive. Looking up, Budew saw the Shinx on top of her head, and her heart fell in dread as she shrieked. >Oh my! Rat! THERE'S A BLUE RAT ON MY HEAD!< Utter terror lending her strength, she began to sprint around, her mouth open in a little o off ear as she ran in small circles. She attempted a Growth move before trying to shake off the persistent little Flash Pokemon with her newly increased bulk, shrieking at the top of her lungs all the time she was doing so. ::budew:: Budew used Growth.
