Spearow's Assault
{ Spearow } (Attack -2) Hit by Night Slash Fainted. Torchic gains a level.
After fluttering away in an attempt to dodge the next attack, she managed to stumble over her own two feet as she let out a pitiful yelp. Her body shook with a tremble and a palpitate as she heard the trainer's loud command. Now there were more humans int he area to watch her downfall, and she couldn't help but whisper a small 'no' as she realized just how wrong this situation turned out to be. The Night Slash was weak, but she was weak too. It hacked away at her fallen side before she could even get up, due to it all happening so fast.
She only let out a small gulp, a whimper, before her head fell with a thud onto the ground. It was clear that she had fainted from the blows, even if the Torchic had been rather weak. Just thinking about that orange head made her feathers ruffle in her deep sleep.

The moment that the Spearow fell to the ground, Nicholas reached behind his back, under his coat and pulled one of his empty Pokéballs out and pushed the button in the center to enlarge it, he then threw it at the now fainted Spearow. The ball flew through the air towards the small bird like Pokémon and hit its head. Nicholas then watched carefully as the rest of events unfolded.

Spearow groaned weakly as a second Pokeball struck her feathered form, a flash of red in her vision and a sense of deja vu erasing all other thought patterns from her mind as she was sucked into the ball. Aside from the weak imprint of red in her retinas, there was only blackness, and that made such a keen eyed bird such as herself immediately nervous. However, her struggles to escape this dark, confined space were in vain, for she was simply too weak to make the effort to escape another one of these projectiles. Resistance really was futile, and the Pokeball chimed without much fuss, sealing the battle weary avian in for good. Willing or unwilling, Spearow was under new ownership. ::spearow:: Level: 6 Gender: Female Ability: Keen Eye. Attacks. Peck. Growl. Leer. Personality: Darwinist. Grumpy. Resentful to Nicholas for interfering with nature.

The battle ended much to the Spearow's chagrin. It clearly wasn't too happy about losing and Gale was pretty sure that it wasn't too fond of her new owner. Oh well, not his problem. Watching the battle, however, did make Gale want to get some training of his own. Maybe against a wild Pokemon, or maybe even against one of these trainers.
No need to stand around and wait for something to happen though. He walked past the other trainer watching and the one that just finished battling, "Nice job beating that Spearow," he said with a smile as he walked by. "If they want to battle they'll say something, if not...oh well," Gale thought to himself.

Raff nodded in agreement with the other trainer. It wasn't easy to take down or capture a Spearow. The blond boy stepped foreword so that Gale was no longer infront of him, but the two were side by side. Raff shoved his hands into his black pant's pockets and slouched over slightly, relaxing a bit. Aella, the Pidgey on his shoulder also seemed calmer now that the Spearrow was caught and away from her. "The real test is going to be training her though." Raff said with a cocky grin, having experience both with the fiesty Spearrow and training a poke'mon who didn't want to be caught or trained, his Snover.

Nicholas put the Pokéball containing his Spearow onto his belt, and pulled off his Torchic’s ball, he then said “Torchic, return.” Then the ball opened up and the Torchic turned into a red energy beam and flew back into the ball. Nicholas then noticed the other two, trainers one who he couldn’t understand anything but what he assumed was his name and another who forgot to say his name and instead just talk about how the training would be different from capturing.
Nicholas let out a small chuckle and then said “Well, I think that she’ll respect me after she gets some food, she was trying to eat a Sunkern when I interfered and I couldn’t let that happen, so I battled and caught her as you two just witnessed.” He then extended both his hands for the two to shake and said “I’m Nick, and you are?” He started to think that they could travel with him. The kid that had just caught the Spearow, Gale just realized, was wearing very loose fitting clothing. Almost samurai-like, it looked kind of cool, but at the same time pretty odd. Gale accepted his outreached hand with a shake, "I'm Gale, I take it you just started your journey in Cheyenne too?"

He nodded along with Nick's comment about feeding the Spearow and getting its respect. But Raff didn't seem to believe too strongly in what the other trainer was saying about his new poke'mon. Maybe for a less proud poke'mon. But Spearows were never known for their lack of pride. But the blond boy didn't bother to argue the point much further. Unlike Gale, he did not offer out his hand to shake. So formal. "Raff." He answered simply, lifting one of his hands to stroke his Pidgey's beak gently. Aella cooed and nuzzled against his head. "This is Aella." He fondly introduced his flying-type poke'mon with a slight smile on his face. "I promised her I'd train her and that she'd become a Pidgeot one day."

Worm Wars
{ Wurmple } Female
{ Wurmple } Female
{ Weedle } Male
{ Weedle } Female
<I'm tellin' ya baby, you're my one, my only.> A small Weedle winked over at his Wurmple companion, who blushed as he picked an Oran berry out of one of the bushes. He nudged it towards her with his nose, Lady and the Tramp style, as she got the first bite. The two smiled fondly at each other before sharing the meal, though a little voice in the back of the male's head was currently thinking about the other two broads he had on the side. He'd have to visit them soon, or else they'd get lonely. Just a little more time with his main lady though, of course. <Don't touch me, or my heart might just stop.> He flirted, making the Wurmple even more bashful than before. His moves were working, but his luck was about to run out.
<Excuse me, but who is that?> A female Weedle emerged from the bushes, looking furiously upon the scene. The Wurmple appeared bewildered, looking from the female to the male to try and figure out what was going on.
<And who are they?!> Another voice emerged from the trees, shooting a String Shot down at a near by rock as another Wurmple crawled down to the ground, glaring at the male Weedle. Suddenly things clicked together in all of the girl's minds, and this Weedle could sense an intense change in the atmosphere.
<W-W-Whoa there ladies! You've got it all wrong, i-its just a...misunderstanding?> He gulped as the three nodded their heads venomously, and he quickly backed away from the Wurmple that was closest to him. This wasn't looking good-- at this rate, he might not be able to reproduce. Ever.

“Yeah, I just started my journey, I have three Pokémon already Gale, you?” When Raff didn’t shake his hand, he felt like the man was being rude, he then introduced him and his Pidgey and said “That’s a good goal Raff and Aella, I hope you achieve it, say would you like to journey with me on my trainer journey?” Then suddenly four Pokémon appeared, and Nick pulled out his Pokédex, and it said they were Wurmple and Weedle, he then put his Dex away and pulled out his Spheal’s Pokéball.
He then tossed it out, and in a bright light of energy, the Spheal came from the ball and let out a long “SPHEAAAAAAAAAAAAAL” the Spheal then clapped its flippers together and saw the berry on the ground, and started running towards it and ate anything that was left of it. It then let out a belch and a contented sigh. [/blockquote]

"Same here, haha on both things. I have three Pokemon also. Actually I have a Pidgey like you Raff. His name's Arrow." Gale smiled at the two then went back to answering Nick's question. "Yeah sure I wouldn't mind tagging along a little bit." He noticed that Nick had pulled out a Pokedex upon the arrival of four Pokemon. Two Wurmples and two Weedles.
Nick was pretty fast to react as he called out his Spheal almost instantly. The cute little water type beelined towards the Oran berry the worm pokemon were eating. Gale laughed, "Little guy doesn't waste anytime does he? Ha might as well get some training in," He reached into his pocket and called out Arrow his Pidgey. He flew around getting himself used to being out of that cramped red and white sphere then landed on Gale's shoulder.

The rest of the berry that had been left was consumed by a voracious and rather loud Spheal, but this only prompted one glance from the male Weedle. The female Wurmples didn't pay him any mind, all lining up and glaring at the promiscuous Weedle. The male worm was caught between admiring how pretty they all were when they were mad or being scared out of his skin, and he was pretty near to the latter. <Hehehe. Can't we, uh.. all have dinner together?> Prompted the Weedle, smiling and sweating with fear.
The three Wurmples shook their heads slowly and simultaneously, gradually cornering the Weedle against a tree. <Don't worry, baby. This won't hurt a bit.> One of them said venomously.

He did not seem terribly excited by Nick's proposal. He had never considered having any companions, besides his poke'mon. And he couldn't say that he was fond enough yet of these two to want to jump on board with them. It was a matter of trust, and Raff didn't trust them. Aella on the other hand, watched as Gale let out his own pidgey, Arrow, and a male at that. She blushed slightly and shyly burried her head in Raff's hair, brushing up against his skin and cooing softly. Raff brushed his hair slightly where Aella had disturbed it. "I'll have to think on it. But.... meanwhile." He shifted his hand from adjusting his hair to point towards the domestic dispute going on nearby. "Aella. Sand attack." Aella gracefully flew from Raff's shoulder, zooming low to the ground to kick up dust, which she let fly over towards the worm poke'mon, while Raff turned to the other two. "Go on then. Let's see what you boys got."

Nicholas sighed, he figured his Spheal made it worse by eating the berry that was on the ground, he wasn’t going to be doing much damage with this Spheal, since it only knew two offensive moves, Nicholas then sighed and said “Spheal, use powder snow on the three wurmple.” The Spheal then let out a small call of its name and opened its mouth and snow began to come out of its mouth, aimed at the three wurmple. If the attack hit there would be a ten percent chance to freeze the three Wurmple.

Gale was the last to order an attack. At the moment Arrow only knew one, Tackle. "Arrow use Tackle on the Weedle!" Gale called out. Flapping his wings, Arrow rose off of Gale's shoulder and flew straight for the Weedle.
As Arrow went in for his attack, Gale took the time to congratulate Nick and Raff on their Pokemon's succesful attacks. "Nice work Nick, you actually froze one of the Wurmple. Haha you too Raff, hopefully Arrow learns that attack soon."
- ::pidgey:: used Tackle on Weedle

Raff grinned awkwardly at Gale. The compliment was nice. But evidently Raff was not expecting such a 'brotherly' attitude from these two strangers. Maybe they just trusted quickly.. or Raff too slow? He didn't worry about it, and instead focused on what was going on around him. "Tackle on the Wurmple who's not doing anything." (Wurmple #2) Aella happily whirled around, tucking her wings close in to her body and falling from the sky towards the wurmple gracefully, nearly silent as she dove towards the worm poke'mon. Raff glanced over at the other two. "After this, we should have a battle?" He said eagerly, a wide impish grin on his face.

“Spheal, use Water Gun on the Frozen Wurmple!” Spheal gave a nod and then opened his mouth and let a jet of water fly from his mouth to the frozen wurmple. Then Nicholas noticed the Weedle next to him on the ground next to him, he looked at the little worm pokemon and said “Women troubles? If you come with me, you can get away from them, hows that sound?” Nicholas then waited for some response from the Weedle.
Nicholas then said “Spheal, use growl ….DODGE THE POISON STING!” The Spheal then jumped out of the way of the poison needles that the one wurmple fired out from its mouth, not getting hit by any of them. Nicholas then let out a sigh of relief as his Spheal dodged the attack barely.
- Spheal uses Water Gun on the frozen Wurmple.
- Spheal dodges the Poison Sting.
- Offered Weedle to join my team.

Worm Wars
{ Wurmple 1} Female Frozen Hit by Tackle Hit by Water Gun Weakening. Capture/Battle?
{ Wurmple 2} Female Hit by Tackle Uses String Shot and Tackle on Aella
{ Weedle 1} Male Refuses and Runs
{ Weedle 2} Female String Shot and Poison Sting on Spheal
OOC: Sorry guys, but originally it was two Weedle and two Wurmples. ;)
<What? Join you? Bug off.> The Weedle gritted his tiny teeth together as he began to sneak off, seeing that the Wurmple and that female Weedle were too distracted by the humans to pay him any mind. Why, if he got away, then he had more women in the route to woo with less that already knew about his tricks. It was the perfect plan, even if it did seem cowardly to him. He snuck into the bushes the moment the other two Wurmples were attacked, not giving them a second glance.
<Ugh! He got away! You jerk! You're all jerks!> The female Weedle hissed in annoyance, wishing that she could've showed that stupid boy a thing or two about hurting another's feelings. Instead, she decided to take it out on the one who made the first attack-- that damn Spheal with its jolly expression. She weaved a String Shot within her mouth, and shot out a thin yet sticky layer at the ice type. If it was easier to make her own attacks, the move was useful. With an evil grin, she charged around the Spheal while shooting a Poison Sting from several different angles.
<No way! You are totally like, joking.> The non-frozen Wurmple huffed, before being tackled down by some Pidgey. She chewed up a String Shot of her own and shot it at the bird, trying to bring it closer to the ground. With that in mind, she jumped up into the air, pulling the thread closer to her, to try and Tackle the agile Pokemon.
Meanwhile, the frozen Wurmple (Sammy) was still taking all of these attacks. Completely vulnerable and weakening, she wasn't about to last much longer in her pitiful condition.

Not expecting the string shot, Spheal was wrapped up in the attack and hit by the poison sting, but thankfully it didn’t get poisoned by the attack. Nicholas was being distracted by the Weedle as it ran away. He then turned to see his Spheal flying back, covered in the web and hit by the poison sting. “SPHEAL! NO! DON’T GIVE UP! USE WATER GUN ON THE FROZEN WURMPLE AGAIN! I KNOW THIS IS A TYPE MISMATCH BUT DON’T GIVE UP!”
The Spheal landed on its back and quickly rolled onto its front, now angry it shot out an angry horizontal tower of water at the frozen Wurmple, Nick watched hoping that the attack would hit and knock it out. He then said “Spheal, after the water gun, use Growl on all three Pokémon!” The Spheal, whether its attack hit or not didn’t matter, let out a loud growl attack that would lower their attack power agains.
- Spheal is hit by the String Shot and the Poison Sting, the attacks are effective.
- Spheal uses Water Gun on the Frozen Wurmple.
- Spheal uses Growl on all the opposing Pokémon.
