PIDGEY APPEARED ! The Pidgey stared with the stone still lodged in his beak as the trainer and his pokemon stopped and stared at her. Then he told one of his pokemon to ask her to move. Well, couldn't he have just told her that directly instead? The bird's eyelids drooped a little in irritation as she thought about how silly trainers were sometimes. If pokemon could understand english attacks, surely they knew to understand other commands as well. Especially herself, so familiar with language and all. In any case, she remained there just to spite them as the Minccino approached her.
Hmmm, something about the Minccino seemed odd. She referred to her trainer as 'mistress' and even bowed to her, quirks she didn't often see in trainers' pokemon. Perhaps she could have such a character in her story! Yes! She realized both that her muse had come back to her and that she hadn't heard a word the Minccino said besides 'mistress.' <Ah, I thank you for boosting my muse again. Here, take this. A token of my gratitude.> She said calmly, dropping the black stone back onto the floor, spreading her wings and exiting the premises.
The black stone glittered on the floor; one wouldn't know what it was until they picked it up and examined it to realize that it was, in fact, a discarded and dirty Ultra Ball. Imagine that!

Shannon and the others watched as the Pidgey flew off, possibly back to its nest. Briefly, the Minccino reminisced about the encounter; something that the brown, feathered Pokémon said seemed odd to her. Muse, huh? What would it need that for...
It didn't matter all that much to her. She was more curious about the round object that it left behind, discovering that it had some yellow markings over its black body. upon inspecting it further, she discovered that it had the same sort of button as her Poké Ball. She picked up the Ball and returned to Fianna's side. She dropped the Ball at her trainer's feet and knelt before him once again. "My Mistress, the negotiations were successful. The Pidgey left this Ball as an offering to your benevolence and to your ability to offer it fresh inspiration for some unknown reason." Confused as to what she meant by 'benevolence', he picked up the Ball that Shannon dropped at his feet and placed it inside of her bag's Ball pocket. He, then, knelt down and patted the Minccino on the head and said to her, "Well done, Shannon. Let's keep going now."
As they continued on down the trail, he couldn't help but lose himself in though about whatever way he could have 'inspired' a Pidgey to do something. He didn't really understand it very well, whatever aspirations the Pidgey they encountered might have. But the more that he thought about the Pidgey and its 'muse', the more it made him think, It would be interesting to meet it again some other time...

There were more interesting things in the area anyways besides a muse filled Pidgey. That being said, the loud sounds of birds engaged in a fight weren't that far off. The Pidgey was luckily not caught up in it, but if it had, it most definitely would've gotten involved in the crossfire between these two birds. A Starly with a desire for power and pride for her family decided to sneak further than usual, purposely trying to pick a fight with whatever would attack her.
It just so happened that a Wingull was out on the hunt, and the Starly managed to scare off her prey. Soon they were caught in a duel of beak and talons, and that's how this situation ended up happening. It was a natural thing to happen in the wild, especially as Pokemon grew bolder due to the lack of food winter brought. <You scared off my meal! I haven't eaten all day!> The Wingull was definitely getting moody as she tried blasting a Water Gun at the Starly, which the bird skillfully dodged with a mocking laugh.
<Trouble with your aim, little bird? Go back to the ocean!> The Starly took in great amusement at her accomplishments so far in the match, already bringing the Wingull down to half of her usual health. She was just an amazing battler, she supposed. Not wanting to relent on the Wingull, she burst after the water type with a Quick Attack, successfully knocking the bird down on the ground.
They'd probably end up keeping this up until one of them fainted, with their loud cries filling the area. Predators were also bound to hear it, slithering closer to the area with curious eyes in case they could get a meal as well.

Once again, it didn't take very long for something else to happen near the group that had just said farewell to a very courteous Pidgey. Except this time, there was a commotion that came from the air. Shannon's heightened sense of hearing, attributed to her fairly big ears, caused her to look up and around. She finally noticed the dogfight in the air, but couldn't quite make out what kind of Pokémon were fighting. She climbed up on top of Fianna's head, trying her best to not take her eyes off of the two figures that were causing the commotion. "What's wrong, Shannon?" the curious trainer said as he looked up to see what the Minccino was pointing to. "Mistress, look up there. A Starly and a Wingull are having a heated confrontation. It looks as though the small gray one is winning." Fianna was watching the fight intently as he inched his way forward cautiously, hoping to be able to move away from the vicinity of the battle and continue onward to whatever event might be lying in wait to ambush them. He kept on watching the sky, thinking to himself that they were almost in the clear. And then, as if it were clockwork, the Wingull had taken a nosedive towards the ground, landing hard on its face and skidding for a couple of seconds. To Fianna, that was a scary sight. He could no longer just leave this situation alone; his greatest concern was for the welfare of the fallen Wingull. Shannon, having the keener eyesight from their vantage point, could tell that that Starly was still eyeing the Wingull that it just fell from the sky. "Let's hurry over there and help that Wingull!" said the trainer as she got up a burst of speed to make it there before the other bird could move on further with its intentions. He stopped just a few feet behind the fallen Wingull, taking his bag off of his back to see what he might be able to do to help the injured little white and blue bird. Shannon quickly interjected, "That other bird looks like it wants to come to make sure it's knocked out cold. You should take this time to prepare for battle." Fianna didn't like where this situation was about to be heading. But, he had to admit that this was a sacrifice that needed to be made if he wanted to help that injured Wingull. Broski, no longer so upset about not being praised for defeating the female Nidoran, in the same light as the Minccino had been for acting non-confrontational towards the Pidgey that left them only 5 minutes earlier, felt like this was an occasion where he could step up and be praised for his fighting prowess. "Hey, bro. Let me go up against that bird. It'll give me a chance to use my brand new attack, Water Gun." Fianna didn't bother giving it much though. Instead, he reached for one of the pockets of his bag and found the Oran Berry that he had been given by Ranger Walker. He gave the berry to Broski, patting the top of his head. "Use it if you feel yourself getting weak again..."Something about getting into another fight made Fianna feel very much uneasy. He understood that he had a little bit of time to rest since he won that fight with the bluish Nidoran. But at the same time, he also knew that Broski would be the only one on his team fully capable of being able to fight a flying Pokémon while it's still in the air. Just before letting him go off to protect the Wingull, he added, "Be careful...," to make sure he understood that he was certainly concerned about him fighting again, a good half an hour or so off of defeating the female Nidoran and deflating that attitude of hers. He walked towards the injured Wingull, berry attached by the stem to his little yellow flotation ring, turned back to look at his concerned trainer's expression, game face being put on once again, and calmly nodded, saying absolutely nothing at all. He understood what he had to do. Now, he was ready to get'r done. The Wingull could sense that the Starly was still after her, but she was still struggling to get off of the ground. Wincing as she hopped onto her feet, she yelped at the sudden appearance of the trainer, who appeared to be interested in helping her. She wasn't sure what to make of the group just yet, but seeing the Buizel go out center stage eased her mind a little. As long as she didn't have to worry about that Starly adding more wounds to her body, then she could probably lend the group some of her trust.
She watched uneasily as the Starly noted the protection of the human, instantly annoyed and bored when the game wasn't going the way she planned it. <Hey, I don't go and interrupt your battles!> The Starly exclaimed, annoyed that she was suddenly being ganged up on. Was it even worth battling out? Well, he looked weak enough. She might have a chance going after him after all, and why not have some fun with this Buizel-brat.
<What an obnoxious orange color, how exactly is that supposed to help you survive?> She commented with a snide grin at him, as if she was trying to rouse him into fighting. <Anyways, if you'd be so kind. Get lost. The Wingull is mine.> She growled at him, wanting to finish her match with the other bird.

Calmly, the Buizel faced up at the Starly, who seemed to still be interested in fighting the Wingull. Except now, it turned its attention to Broski, who it presumed was there to meddle with whatever beef it had with the Wingull. The atmosphere was getting a little more tense with each passing second. But, in the back of his head, hearing the Starly's feeble attempt at trying to intimidate him was actually quite hilarious. Particularly, it seemed to him that the Starly was into practising the art of cowardice, in its attempt to threaten him from high in the sky. He felt like he had an opportunity to troll the little bird Pokémon into coming to him. He took the Pidove's Growl with a stoic expression, showing that he wasn't going to be phased by such a pathetic attempt at making itself sound bigger than it really was. Broski got closer in proximity to the Starly so that it might be able to hear what he had to say, "Umad, bro? I fought a blue rodent half your size. She had twice the balls you do, and 5 times the heart too, bro."Broski wasn't going to let that chickenheart Starly get away with those words alone. He jumped up in the air and whipped a Sonicboom attack at it. Regardless if the attack connected, he landed back on his hind legs and back into the fighting stance that he had, only a moment ago, he then made several motions with his arms, eventually stretching out his right arm and making a 'folding' gesture with his paw. Still in the mood to toy with his new opponent's mind, he said to her, If you think you're such a tough little birdy, then come at me bro!"Behind all the commotion, Shannon thought there was an opening for them to assist the Wingull. It was difficult for Fianna to focus on the entire situation, between how confident his Buizel was believing in his own strength, how cute, calm, cool & collected his Minccino was in a situation that might be at least somewhat stressful to many others, and finding an opportunity to help the injured Wingull. Fianna's head was almost literally spinning, unsure where his attention should be most focused on right now. The Minccino could see that his trainer was looking around, disoriented and very worried. She needed to say something to get him to calm down a little bit. "Mistress. The Buizel's got this. Let's use the time that he's buying us to secure that injured Wingull before something else happens." Fianna whipped her face towards the Minccino, unconsciously letting slip a sound that was barely coherent, when he heard her first talk. But then, after hearing what Shannon had to say, he felt like he could take a couple of deep breaths, before replying, "O-Okay..."Shannon quickly went ahead and positioned herself in front of the fallen Wingull, who struggled to pick himself up, stretching her arms to her sides. She turned her eyes towards the white and blue bird, bluntly stating, "It is in my Mistress's best interest to come to your aid. If you can't continue to fight, then my Mistress and I will protect you from further harm." Fianna, paying close attention to the battle in front of them, was more cautious in her pace to get to where the Wingull and Minccino are. He thought about the possibility of using one of his Potions to heal the Wingull's injuries, since he already gave Broski the only Oran Berry that he had. But then, he wondered if he could simply secure the Wingull in his arms, then send Shannon to look for some healing berries nearby. Or, maybe... Seeing the Buizel react unemotionally to her growl made the Starly inwardly wonder what she got herself into. This Buizel was sounding like a punk, though he was being entertaining. His insults needed a little work though, which made her shake her head with a sigh. <If you want to fight, just say so.> She said with an amused giggle, not particularly bothered by what he was saying.
He went into this funky movement that looked way beyond the level of a beginner, making her stare at him in surprise as she flapped her wings nervously. Oh dear, what in the world did she just get herself into? With a yelp, she was struck by the strong Sonicboom, instantly bringing her down to less than half of her health. As if the wounds the Wingull gave her weren't enough, now Buizel-boy was adding to it!
<What's your name?> She asked him casually, trying to get some information out of him. After recovering from the force of that move, she panted as she hovered a few feet above the ground. Now was the time to strike, she figured. While he was talking! She ran after him with a Quick Attack, planning on interrupting him as he was talking.
Meanwhile, the Wingull had her own problems as she looked from Shannon to Fianna nervously. It was hard for her to understand what they were intending fully, but she guessed that they had the best intentions and just wanted to help. <I can heal myself when I go back to my nest, but I can't fly around knowing that she's around.> The Wingull informed them with a chirp, not wanting such a trouble-making Starly sticking around her home.

Seeing the Sonicboom land a direct hit to its target only served to amuse Broski further, aside from the very cocky response the Starly made just before getting slammed by his sound. He watched as the Starly recovered from the attack, only to ask him for his name. He didn't know exactly why she would ask him something like that in the middle of their fighting one another, but he decided to entertain her with a response anyway. "Broski. Remember it well, bro, especially when I send you away with your tailfeathers tucked between your legs!."Not taking his eyes off of the Starly, he saw that it was finally coming down closer to the ground. Smirking, he could see that the little gray bird was finally starting to speak his language! The Starly flew towards Broski at an accelerated pace, hoping to catch the Buizel off guard. He was prepared for the contact to be made, stretching his arms out in an attempt to 'catch' it in mid-strike and soften the blow somewhat. Broski braced himself as he caught the Starly's quick strike, the momentum that the little gray bird built up before the impact dragging the Buizel backwards. It became a test of strength between the two combatants, arms and wings locked together, both trying feverishly to impose their will over the other and gain the upper hand in the fight. It wasn't the smartest thing that the Buizel could have done, not learning, from the last battle he was in, that icy ground isn't exactly the best thing to help gain traction and resistance when trying to out muscle another Pokémon. As a result of that lesson not learned, Broski slipped backwards on an icy patch, and the momentum of the attack propelled the Starly forward, catching the Buizel in the forehead with its outstretched wing, and on the side of the head with its body, as he was falling back. He was fortunate that there wasn't much ice to fall down hard on, or else he would have taken a much harder blow from that attack. Broski struggled a little bit to get himself off of the ground. As much as that last attacked hurt, he got up, feeling the force of the blow to his head and face. As he winced, he was still able to force half a smirk. He was glad that the Starly had finally come down there to fight him, as he watched for it attentively again. He also looked around for his Oran Berry, no longer feeling it on his person. He found it on the ground, very close to where he had just stumbled, picked it up, and then jammed the stem back in between his fur coat and his yellow flotation ring. He wasn't ready to use that berry yet. Instead, he once again focused on the Starly. "I see that you finally want to settle this once and for all," Broski said, showing some gamesmanship towards his opponent. "I like that. But now, it's MY turn. Hope you're ready to freeeeeze!!" Taking in a deep breath, he forced a stream of water out of his mouth, directed towards the Starly. If this attack hits, he may be able to take advantage of her feathers being heavy enough to be able to slow her down a bit - especially with the cold air around here. Broski was the name, from what she could hear after bolting with a Quick Attack. She wasn't bound to forget the name anytime soon, especially when she was a bird that was good at holding grudges. Not much was more satisfying than fulfilling revenge, or paying someone back when they deserved punishment. She chuckled at his battling comments, as if they invigorated her to continue the match. She was ready to wipe the floor with this guy's big mouth!
They were locked in each other's grip, which surprised her! She grunted as she tried pushing against the force of his arms, wincing as she felt his paws touch her. She wasn't sure if she liked that or not, but it was a battle, and touching was to be expected. She only wished that he'd use less of his paws and more of his body, so it didn't feel as if he was feeling her up. Luckily the ice saved her that time, allowing her to push through and fly around him with a gleeful expression. <Nice try, bro.> She teased, looking down at him with a mocking expression.
<That's a bad pun and you know it!> She accused as she pointed a wing at him, still in the air but not high up where he couldn't reach her. The Water Gun blasted her, making her gasp as she was blown backwards. As the water settled down around her, she huffed as she felt the cold wind make her feel even more uncomfortable. <Lovely...> She growled at him, feeling ridiculously weak now. Shame that Sonicboom hit her when it did, making things tough for a lower leveled Pokemon like her. She flapped her wings to propel her forward, aiming a Tackle attack at the Buizel's body. It was the last attack she felt capable of making, wincing as she prepared for the impact.

Broski couldn't see what sort of "pun" that cocky Starly was referring to. All he could see was the bird shivering as it flapped its feathers, looking more and more weary. He could see just how cold it was just from being able to see his breath as he took shorter, faster breaths in-and-out. It looked as though the battle was coming towards its conclusion, Broski refusing to break eye contact with his opponent. The time for talking was done, in his mind. There wasn't much more that needed to be said, knowing that he had the little bird on the ropes, despite still being able to flap its beak as much as she could her wings. Once again, he had to deal with the annoying loud Growl that came from its mouth. He took it, gritting his teeth as he focused hard on the opponent coming in towards him. It looked as though she was placing the last of her strength in this one attack, though also looking as though she was being weighed down in her attempt to brave through her fatigue. Fianna watched as the two Pokémon traded blows with each other, as she watched over the fallen Wingull. He was not completely relieved that the Wingull confessed that it would have to wait for that Starly to go away before it could return to its nest to heal its wounds. He watched as his Buizel, locked in what looked like a Test of Strength, slipped on a patch of ice and allowed the Starly to be able to strike it too. This made him very concerned that he might not last much longer in the battle. He quickly dug through his bag and pulled out one of his few Potions. He hesitated as he held it just over the bag that he had lying in the snow, looking first at the Wingull, then over at the battle, watching as his Buizel was able to retaliate with his Water Gun. Is he really okay like that....? he wondered, his fear of not being able to properly support his first true Pokémon friend, as he fought for the sake of this wild Wingull, growing, building uo more and more inside of him. He knew that he'd given him that Oran Berry before the fight, but still worried that he might not be okay fighting alone, in his present condition. He placed the Potion on the ground next to the Wingull quickly, feeling much duress from the battle going on away from them. "I-I want to heal you... Please help my Buizel?" she said, almost looking like he was going to go down on all fours and beg for the blue-and-white bird to assist in ganging up on their enemy. Overhearing Fianna speaking, Shannon turned around to face her trainer, her expression as absolutely calm, cool & collected as it's been this entire time. "Mistress, forgive me if it is rude for me to speak out like this, but please, My Mistress, find it in your heart to have a little bit of faith in your Buizel, who is fighting the best that he can, fighting for your wish to be able to help this injured Pokémon, rather than use up a precious healing item on a Pokémon that you might never see again, who might take away some of the pride he takes in fighting for you." Fianna hadn't really considered how Broski might feel if he did heal the Wingull, especially since he volunteered to fight for both him and the injured Wingull. As his Minccino continued to stare at him, Fianna got the sense that it might be better just to let Broski handle things himself, and to focus more on safeguarding the grounded Wingull. He didn't put away the Potion yet, but he left it out just in case he might have to use it on his Buizel in this fight still. "All right," Fianna replied, trying to act as calm as his Minccino, "We'll remain here and support him this way." Impressed by her trainer's realized conviction to stay the course and believe in Broski's fighting ability, Shannon responded with a proud smile. "Well said, My Mistress!" Shannon turned around to resume witnessing the ongoing battle, awaiting to see how Broski would come out of this battle. Suddenly, as if he had to will himself to try to be a little bit more like his Minccino, Fianna stood up quickly and he shouted, "Go Broski! You can win, I believe that you can!" in expression of support, seeing just how much effort Broski was giving for his sake. It didn't take long for Fianna's feelings to reach him. In fact, the sound of his supportive words - something he never expected to hear from him so soon - gave him a boost of energy; a second-wind. He read and reacted to the Starly's Tackle by diving to the right and getting back up on his feet quickly. Then, gaining a great boost of speed, he rushed towards the weakened Starly using his Quick Attack, catching up to the bird. Fianna stood there and prayed that this would be the final attack needed to finish up this whole ordeal... "This one is for my Big Sisbro! pokemon encounter ! the starly's tackle missed. so she was forced to come to a halt on the ground. she waddled about, losing her balance. she was panting heavily, hardly able to keep herself upright. thats when it hit her. the woosh of the air around her feathers. the prickling feeling. the buizel body-checked her, sent her flying through the air. she was unable to lift her wings. unable to flap them and get herself out of the way. yuck, yuck yuck. this was hardly worthwhile for a battle. the starly collapsed on the ground, knocked out.
the wingull peeked around the minccino's shoulder. < shes down! and shes OOUUUT! > she cheered. derp.

Crashing through the little Starly, Broski landed with his left foot flat, his right foot all the way back to his toes, his right arm helping him balance, while his left arm was elevated at head-level to the side, as his opponent lied unconscious on its side. Fianna, who had been holding his breath for these past couple of moments, breathed a grand sigh of relief when he saw the Buizel emerge victorious. He looked down at Shannon, who was trying her hardest not to swing around her tail and accidentally brush snow all over the Wingull she swore to help protect from the Starly. Fianna's face lacked emotion, as if he wasn't sure whether he should be happy that Broski was able to win, or more concerned about his condition now that he's the last Pokémon standing. Noticing that her trainer was looking at her rather curiously, and not going to his Buizel, she had a quiet understanding for Fianna's inner conflict. Again, she smiled, nodding her head as well. "Mistress," speaking to her trainer in a softer tone, "Go tell him how happy you are right now. I'm going to stay here and watch over our friend here until she's ready to leave our care." The Minccino's words of encouragement had, again, moved him to return a smile and a nod, then run towards his Buizel. And not a moment too soon either, as Broski began to teeter, feeling a lack of strength after knowing that his last attack was enough to knock out the small gray bird. Fianna expression turned back to looking concerned for the Buizel, reaching his side and catching him just as he tipped over to fall into the cold, white snow. He made Broski rest on both of his knees - basically, in his lap - as he held an arm over his soft belly. Tears welled up, and had started to drip from Fianna's closed eyes, when Broski opened his eyes wider again and looked up at the sobbing trainer. As Fianna's emotions had overcome her again, the Buizel had turned its body around and stretched his arms out, wrapping them around his hips, while rubbing his head up against his shirt. Fianna stopped feeling sad for the moment, acting more surprised than anything else now, as she slowly opened her eyes. His vision was a little blurry at first because of his tears, but he could mostly tell that it was Broski turning around, his heart aflutter as he gave the trainer the biggest hug that he could. "Broski..." Fianna saying his name was enough to make him hold onto his hips more tightly as he couldn't stop brightly smiling. This was more what he had hoped for at the end of their battle against the female Nidoran. "I did it, bro... Did I fight good?" he said wryly, looking up to see Fianna's face, which was both getting pale from the cold weather outside and red from the tears she had shed. Fianna was overcome with a different emotion, hearing the little orange Buizel still able to speak. She held the Buizel's back more firmly with her free hand and forearm and held him more closely to his body. His eyes closed once again as a couple of tears trickled loosely down his face, the pain of the tears replaced by the big, proud smile that he wore at that moment. As his hand softly rubbed Broski's back back and forth, Fianna said to him, softly, You battled very good. Thank you, Broski..."As Fianna was looking after the Buizel, Shannon turned to focus her attention to the grounded Wingull, who was much elated to see that pesky Starly's wings being clipped before she could suffer a much more tragic fate. "My Mistress is busy being by her Buizel's side right now. As her viceroy, I can communicate to her once she's ready." There didn't seem to be much to worry about anymore. Shannon extended her short arm out, reaching under the Wingull's wing, to help her to her feet. "Are you OK to return to your nest now? Or is there something else we can do for you?"BroskiLevel 7 - (Male) Ability: Swift Swim Held item: Oran Berry Attacks: Sonic Boom, Growl, Water Sport, Quick Attack, Water Gun "Orange" health -2 Attack Cradled in Fianna's arm/lap

the wingull shook her head at what the minccino said. > i'll be fine. but thanks anyway. < she smiled a bright smile at the squirrel-y poke'mon, before looking at the buizel. > and thanks to you, for helping me! < with a nod to her new friends, the wingull took off into the air, one place in mind; south. south for the winter.
meanwhile, a sentret had her eyes set on that buizel since the beginning of the battle. once the wingull was out of the picture, she decided that she was going to approach her other half ( that's what she called all her love interests ) like a bird does their prey. then she'd pounce the other, but not really. well, maybe. either way, the sentret found that approaching the buizel was the best move.
so she did. > well hey there big boy. < a smirk was placed across her face as she 'mew'ed at him. > this cat wants a feast tonight, mew ~ < a paw flicked out at him in a seductive manner.

Shannon watched as the Wingull flapped her wings and elevated herself, increasing her distance from her heroes in her time of need. Shannon stopped worrying about the Wingull, seeing that there wasn't going to be any further problem, thought about going over to see Fianna and Broski. But then, she noticed Fianna's bag was still on the ground nearby, as was the Potion that he had neglected to put back into the bag. Picking up the Potion, she placed it inside of a compartment that looked like it had other Potions and healing items in it. Snooping around in Fianna's bag a little more, she noticed a white scarf that she thought would look better on her than the Pink Scarf she was wearing. A crunching of packed snow, Fianna could hear just off to the right. When he turned to look in the direction the sound had been coming from, he could see a small, round, tanuki-like creature approach. Listening to the Pokémon speak - whoever the hell she thought she was - it got Fianna face blushing, flustered that it thought about trying to hit on one of them right out of the blue. The way that the Sentret had been looking at his Buizel, it seemed pretty obvious to Fianna that this was another Pokémon who was up to no good. Fianna stood up quickly and took a couple of steps backwards, bearing his fangs towards the aloof Sentret. "J-J-Just what do you think you're doing!? G-G-Get away from us...!!" With a weakened Buizel in one hand, and a slowly-defrosting Skitty in the other, there wasn't much that he could do to protect them other than to stand there and try to look as intimidating as he could. Shannon took the Pink Scarf off and placed it back in the bag, pulling out the Silk Scarf, which she thought would look better on her than that dumb pink cloth that she had worn when she had first been summoned by her Mistress. She had only enough time to grab it out of the bag when she could hear the sound of her Mistress's voice. Sensing the distress in her Mistress's words, she cried out, "Mistress, I'm coming!" taking the Silk Scarf in her mouth as she swiftly galloped to her trainer's side, jumping over any patches of ice that were in her path. Fianna had been a little bit more weirded out just from the little nuance the Sentret seemed to have, acting as if it was some sort of feline. Shannon leapt into the air and called out her Mistress's name. Fianna looked sharply to her left, in great surprise, to see his Minccino whip her body around 90 degrees in midair to look at the wild Sentret, landing on all fours, skidding a few inches before stopping completely. "Shannon! Thank-" The Minccino interrupted her Mistress's sudden belief that he was all that much safer at the moment, spitting the white scarf out of her mouth and placing it back in her hands. "Stay back, Mistress! I can handle this one myself."Fianna stood back a few feet more. There wasn't much more of an option for Fianna to consider, his Buizel having just been involved in a pair of tough battles already. He was deserving of a rest. But, despite his trainer's willingness to hide behind his servant-like Minccino, Broski tried to pull himself away from Fianna's soft, skinny arm. Fianna reacted quickly by pressing the Buizel between his body and his arm. "Let me go, bro... I can still fight..," he protested, not being able to make a full effort to struggle out of his trainer's hold. Fianna shook his head, "You need some rest. Please take this one easy before you really injure yourself... Okay..?" Broski stopped struggling; he didn't need her turning on the waterworks in front of him again. "I get it, bro. Fine," he sighed, lying back as he watched his Minccino counterpart take over this situation. Shannon tied the Scarf around her body, like a martial arts belt, knotting it in the front, as she spoke with authority to the Sentret. "Cur. You come out from the woods and dare approach my Mistress with such ill intent? Unforgivable! Leave us at once. You will be dealt with harshly if you should choose to refuse my Mistress's will." Listening to the Minccino stand her ground so strongly, seeing how strong-willed she could be when she gets real serious, made Fianna think that she can be a little bit scary when she gets angry. With the Buizel's rejection given to her with his dramatic pose and gesture, she decided to move onto the Minccino. Now she was an attractive thing, even if the Sentret wasn't usually into girls. If the little squirrel wanted to do a tango with her, then by all means, challenge accepted. The Sentret gave the Minccino a seductive look while getting on all fours, tail in the air like a cat would have it as she approached. <And what is your name, little pet?> She mewed, believing that she was actually a cat as her paws crunched the snow beneath them. She admired the grey hues in the Minccino's fur, noticing how it was wild and tangled up, not very well groomed at all. She looked attractive that way though, especially with the Silk Scarf equipped, definitely showing off her feminine charms. She was a bit envious of the cloth, sort of wanting it for herself to try and woo whoever she wanted. <Mew mew, love me.> She teased, eyes showing that she was somewhat serious in her declaration. How they thought she wanted to fight, she wasn't sure. Apparently they were scrambling around for something that she didn't quite understand, but she loved that a commotion was being made because of her. She faked a purr at the attention she was being given, wondering how the Minccino would react to her demands for acceptance. It would probably be rejected, but the Minccino didn't have a choice. Is this one for real..? the Minccino wondered as she continued to watch the Sentret's movements more intensely than a Patrat, dead to rights on protecting her Mistress at all costs. Shannon really didn't like that it was trying to flirt with her now, though it was better her than her Mistress or any of her other suffering Pokémon having to worry about it directly. To demonstrate that she was serious in standing her guard, she jumped up in the air and swung her tail in a downward thrust and landed on her two feet again, to send a message to the tanuki-like Pokémon - that she didn't want whatever that floozy was selling. "Hah! Names are meaningless here, tramp. You will be force-fed my tail to your head if you don't leave us now!" Shannon remained on standby, ready to strike if the Sentret decided she wanted to get much closer and continue her flirting ways. Behind the Minccino, Fianna held his other two Pokémon in one arm each. A weak sound was coming from somewhere on his body. He looked down to his right arm, watching as the Skitty that he had earlier wrapped up in a blanket to get warmth back into her body, was regaining consciousness. Her vision was blurred from having been closed for so long, so it took her a minute to regain enough of her vision to be able to make out the human's face. Fianna placed Broski down on the snow, resting on his knees as he looked down at the feline Pokémon. "...Huh? Who are you, nyaa?" It probably didn't help much that Fianna's hands were cold from being exposed to the cold air outside, but he placed a hand inside of the blanket to check to see how much warmth she had regained. To his surprise, feeling her belly, he discovered his hand was already getting warmer. The cold hand touching her belly caused the Skitty to jump in her blankety cocoon. "Nyaaa! Your cold hand tickles, nya!" Startled by the Skitty's reaction to the touch of his hand, Fianna pulled his hand out quickly and fell backwards, nearly fumbling the feline Pokémon as he got his other hand in behind her and caught her by wedging her between his body and his arms. Broski hopped over to Fianna's side to make sure she was all right. "Are you okay, sisbro?" He brought one of his arms away from the well-wrapped Skitty to get his back off of the snow, picking his knees up as he sat on the frozen ground on his rear and his feet. "Yeah, I'm fine," he replied gingerly, the Skitty using her regained strength to hop out of the wrapped blanket and stretch her legs. Nyaaaa~! That's more like it, nya!"Despite her earlier condition, the Skitty was able to move around on her own, getting a view of what was around her. Then she looked back at Fianna, seeing the pinkish Poké Ball attached to his belt. She started to understand the situation more clearly, approaching the effeminate-looking trainer and nuzzling closely to his leg. He thought that she was just being adorable towards him, but he didn't know that she was doing that to show her gratitude to him. At least, not until she said, Thank you for saving me, nyaa. I guess I almost froze to death before you found my Ball, nya." Fianna was relieved that the Skitty was all right now, but she also felt like she couldn't really take that much credit for rescuing her. Fianna looked towards the confrontation that was going on in front of them, before looking down at the Skitty again. If it hadn't been for my Minccino, we would never have found your Ball hidden underneath the snow." The Skitty looked over in the direction that the trainer had his eyes on before, seeing the Minccino leap up and smash the air with a downward strike from its tail, also seeing the Sentret for a moment. "I should go over there and thank him for finding me, nya," she mewed, skipping her way over to where the confrontation was taking place. This worried both Broski and Fianna. "Wait! Don't go over there! That Pokémon might try to get close to... you too..."But, it was no use trying to call her back, even as his voice trailed off at the very end. Kiara, as she knew her name was, pranced her way towards the back of the battle-ready Minccino. As she got very close, Shannon's eyes shifted to her left, hearing the sound of cracking snow coming up from behind her, getting louder. As a sort of knee-jerk reaction, hearing how close the sound was to her backside, Shannon jumped up and swung her tail around in a horizontal motion. The Skitty effortlessly dodged the unexpected attack, jumping up and glomp tackling the Minccino to the cold, white ground. Kiara spread herself on top of the Minccino's underside, as if in a missionary position, rubbing her head against Shannon's cheek. "Nya! I love you for saving me, nya~!" Shannon tried desperately to shove the Skitty off of her body, not knowing what the hell the pink and tan feline was talking about, but also knowing that there was still a Sentret to worry about. The Minccino was having a surprisingly difficult time prying the Skitty off of her, who was still rubbing her cheek briskly. This situation was getting embarrassing for her to be in. The problem for her was that it was only going to get worse. Kiara gazed into the eyes of the suddenly-distressed Minccino, trying to lower her face on top of Shannon's. The only thing Shannon could do to stop the Skitty's approach was to push against Kiara's face with her short arms. Kiara seductively winked at the Minccino before being able to press against her face, hoping that she could get her under the spell of her Attract. Even though it didn't have an effect on Shannon, it was too easy to push down the arms of the struggling Minccino as Kiara forced her lips down against the Minccino's, remaining locked for a ten-count before Shannon was finally able to pull away and get six feet away from her. As Kiara got up on her feet again, shaking her coat and purring as she looked back at the big-eared-gray Pokémon that she had just locked lips with, Shannon was busy scraping any and all traces of that moment off of her lips. Shannon was miffed about being tackled to the ground so easily. She could hardly even look at the Skitty, who seemed to be attracted to her for some unusual reason. But, she also didn't want to show that she was afraid of such a Pokémon, knowing that that Sentret was likely amusing herself with the Skitty suddenly interfering with her ability to protect Fianna. "You! Stay back! Stay away from me, too, or you'll also get caught in the crossfire!"However, the Skitty noticed the way that the Sentret was gesturing. The seemingly cat-like Pokémon caught her interest, feeling determined to 'play' with that Pokémon too. "Nyaaaa~!" she squealed, before winking seductively towards the Sentret. Using the thickness on the end of her long tail, she pushed the Minccino aside, looking to entertain herself with the opposing seductress in front of them. "I'll come back for you later, nyaaa~" she promised to Shannon, who was more taken aback than enthused about having any sort of round 2 being pinned down and kissed. Kiara, then, turned back to gaze at the Sentret again, purring loudly as if there was something foreboding about the way she was purring. "I've decided, nyaaa. Why wouldn't the normal type accept her affections? All she had were the best of intentions for the little squirrel, wanting to groom her all day if possible. Her ears twitched at the commotion the Skitty caused, mostly watching with amusement from the background as the real feline tried to force herself on the Minccino. <Hey, she's supposed to be mine!> The Sentret protested, but giggled in the background with a flick of her tail, not really bothered at this. At least she wasn't the only one having trouble wooing the Minccino, but the competition would make things trickier for herself. The Skitty was an interesting appearance of her own, amused at the bright pink coloration that she had. It only made the other feline even more appealing; like how blondes seemed super exciting compared to brunettes. The Sentret self-consciously glanced at her own fur, feeling less pretty compared to the natural beauty that the Skitty possessed. At least she wasn't being ignored, perking up when she was noticed again. <Mew mew? You want to be my friend, mew?> The Sentret couldn't help but blush in response to the attract, but she wasn't under the Skitty's spell. Instead, she couldn't help but feel very flattered at the move. <Mew, let's play!> She grinned wildly as she made a move, attempting to pounce on the Skitty with a harmless Defense Curl. She was now a soft, entertaining ball that looked as if it could be batted around. How fun!

Kiara wasn't sure what exactly the Sentret was trying to do, seeing the way that it was coming towards here as it formed its body in the shape of a ball. However, the Sentret mentioned something about 'fun'. Something that sounded like a really fantastic idea to her. Kiara had a crafty sort of idea of how she wanted to 'play' with her cat-like counterpart. The Skitty turned her entire body around and she caught the brown, black-striped furball, using her tail, and started juggling the Sentret ball. "I know a game, nyaa. Only rules are that you're my toy, and that I take you home with me, nya, and have my way with you," Kiara mewed, starting to walk towards her new trainer while still juggling the Skitty. Shannon looked on with an annoyed expression. Oh come on! It was THAT easy!? she protested to herself, making a low growling sound, which Kiara disregarded as she walked past the butthurt Minccino. "I got my new toy, nya~ Let's get out of here~!" she purred, trying to use another lustful wink on the baffled Minccino. Shannon couldn't believe what was happening anymore. She's gone from supposedly trying to protect her Mistress from a squirrely cat-like temptress, to being forced to the ground by a real tramp of a cat, to having her first kiss stolen by the Skitty, to even being forced out of the conflict. And now, that Skitty was just going to be tagging along with them, just like that? Who the hell did that Skitty think she was! She went after the Skitty, stopping in front of her. "J-J-J-Just hold on a sec..! Y-Y-You can't be serious about taking that... Thing with you!" In spite of the Minccino's protest, she looked back at Shannon and tried winking at her again, making the Minccino even more nervous just talking to her. Kiara flicked her head back and started walking past her again, walking towards Fianna, who was just completely puzzled, wondering what exactly he had just witnessed. ((AUTHOR'S NOTE: paragraphs 1-4 are just tie-ins to the past couple of posts, and are completely optional to read.))
As much as Fianna had wanted to chase down the Skitty and pull her away from the fight that was about to happen, he still had his battle-weary Buizel to look after. Broski didn't feel like tailing her around everywhere either. "Come back here, little kitty, you'll get yourself hurt!" He did not get even as much of a response as the Skitty stopping in her tracks.
It would get even more unbearable to watch when he saw the Skitty knocking the Minccino to the ground, and then forcing herself on top of Shannon. Fianna was quick to cover Broski's eyes with his hands, blushing as he had to look away while the Skitty pushed her lips against Shannon's. "What are you doing, sisbro? I can't see a thing, but darkness!" As he kept his eyes covered, Fianna would shift his eyes quickly back and forth, between looking away and looking towards the two Pokémon. "You don't... really want to see anything right now..." Fianna felt like he could feel some of the poor Minccino's pain, the way that she had been forced down and lip-raped.
Once he noticed that Shannon was back up on her feet again, he took his hands away from Broski's eyes, who blinked a few times and gave his head a shake to get the vision back in his eyes. Meanwhile, Fianna shot a sympathetic look towards his Minccino, before turning his attention back to the Skitty who appeared to be challenging the wild Sentret in Shannon's place. He didn't have time to be angry with the Skitty's aloof behavior. He was more scared that she was going to get herself injured, when he noticed that the Sentret was coming towards the little cat-like Pokémon in the form of a ball. He couldn't watch at all.
Broski, however, did see what happened. His jaw dropped, almost to the snowy white ground. "Her tail... She caught that Pokémon effortlessly using her tail?!" He continued to be dumbfounded as the Skitty proceeded to juggle the brownish ball up and down with her tail as she calmly walked towards him and Fianna. When Fianna finally did see what had happened, he was expressionless, speechless and completely stoic. How is that even possible.....? Both of them were in complete disbelief.
Shannon was even more pissed hearing that bouncing ball of fuzz suggest that it was going to be coming with them. She was determined not to allow that to happen. I must inform Mistress at once! She caught up with the Skitty, who was already close to Fianna's location. "My Mistress won't allow a freeloading playboy like you to accompany us!"
She raced ahead and made it to Fianna first. "Mistress!" "Mistress!" Fianna snapped out of his daze, startled hearing the Minccino's voice dart through the frigid air. Seeing that she had his attention, she continued to speak. "Mistress, that loose Skitty wants to take that tramp of a Sentret with her! I don't like the way that the Sentret's particularly interested in me, either! You cannot allow this, Mistress! I believe that it'll interfere in my service to only you!" Fianna was trying his best to understand a lot of what his Minccino was telling him. He agreed enough that both his Skitty and the Sentret had come off as being a little bit too friendly, but not enough to really slander them both the way that she did. He also didn't really get how the Sentret would be of such an inconvenience to her.
She didn't have the time to inquire, as Kiara finally returned, arching her back and curving her tail out slightly. This caused the Sentret ball to roll down her tail, then her back, and then roll up her head, like an athlete in a half pipe, gaining enough momentum to go into the air enough for the Skitty to balance her new toy on her head. She rolled the ball left and right, and even bouncing the Sentret on her head, like a soccer ball. "I love my new toy, nya~!" Kiara bounced the Sentret on her head a few more times before she allowed the ball to drop on the snow, then she jumped on top of the ball and lied down on top of it. Kiara couldn't be much happier playing with the wild Sentret this way, using her however she pleased.
Fianna saw just how happy his Skitty was. This already settled one, maybe even two problems the Minccino suggested to him. He also thought about the possibility that this Sentret may know a few things about this route - things that may come in handy for their future survival. At the very least, until they could make it to the next town.
"Sisbro, what do you think? Are you going to let her keep her new 'toy' Sentret?" Broski's voice started the feminine trainer again. Looking at the Buizel first, then Kiara, and then, Shannon, he wasn't sure what to say. Perhaps... This Sentret could be a lot better than what Shannon was leading on...
"Kiara, could I talk to your new 'friend' for just a moment..? You can maybe go back to playing with it after I'm done talking to it." Kiara got off of the Sentret ball, not minding sharing her 'toy' with her new master. Fianna added, "Just stay away from Shannon right now. She's not very happy with the way you were playing with her earlier." Although that would be a difficult thing for her to do, she didn't want to lose her new master's favor quickly either. "I'll stay put right here, nya~" Afterwards, she took a look back at the Minccino and gave her one more seductive wink. Still unaffected by the Attract, Shannon growled back at the Skitty out of frustration. Fianna reacted to the Minccino's spite. "Please calm down, Shannon. I need to talk to this Sentret right now." Hearing her Mistress's order, she did what she could to calm herself down. "As you wish, my Mistress" As much as she wanted to question her Mistress's way of thinking right now - as much as she wished that both the Skitty and the Sentret would just get as far away from her - she could not allow herself to refuse a direct order from her Mistress.
Fianna's attention was absolutely with the wild Sentret now. He would have a better idea of what to do with it after talking with the Pokémon. He started, "Are you a friendly Pokémon? Also, how much do you like playing with my Skitty?" My name is Fianna, I'm a new trainer. Do you have a name, little Sentret?"
