Sentret's lips sealed shut as Fianna approached and interrupted their happy happy fun fun time. In a way she was a bit annoyed, but another friend wouldn't hurt, right? Hopping gracefully over the Skitty, the Sentret bounded over again before sitting down on the ground.
She listened patiently as Fianna spoke, however the words the trainer chose to use made the normal type's eye twitch sharply, her brow furrow. Comically a red anger marker appeared above her head and she mewled something inaudible, listening as the trainer, Fianna, ask her a series of questions.
“'Little Sentret', mew?” Echoed the Pokemon suddenly, frowning, offended. “Don't make me reach up and slap you. Mew mew mew. My name is Mewlita. And who are you calling an 'it'? You can play with it when I've spoken to it? What am I, mew, an object?” Ooooh, she getting mad brah.

Hearing the way that the Sentret was speaking to her Mistress really made Shannon's blood boil. She jetted towards Mewlita and stopped right in front of the Sentret's face, ready to defend her Mistress to the death if she had to. "Know your place, whelp! You are the only one who will get 'slapped' for using that tone to my Mistress!" Broski didn't particularly like the way the Sentret had spoken to his trainer either, surrounding Mewlita. Kiara was also curious as to why the Sentret was even getting mad at all, thinking that she should really be honored to be her plaything. "Threatening our trainer isn't going to get you called a 'toy' any less, bro. So, be a good little 'toy' and go play somewhere else." Kiara took the side of the Minccino that the Buizel didn't take, also surrounding the lone Sentret. She gave her 'toy' a big, sadistic, toothy grin as she stared right into her soul. "Nyaaaaaaa.... You be good toy and be mine..."
Hearing the Sentret reply to his questions, he really worried that he had actually offended her. It didn't help matters that all of his Pokémon were ganging up on the Sentret at the same time, even if they were doing it in his defense. In fact, it only served to piss Fianna off so much that it caused her entire body to tense up, both of her hands clenched tightly into fists. As if erupting, like a volcano, he propelled his voice so loud that it echoed throughout the woodland area. "E-NOUGH!"
The loud, angered voice quickly caught the attention of the Pokémon, the Buizel feeling its icy cold chill all the way down its spine. Kiara was surprised that such a kind-hearted trainer could turn that scary in the blink of an eye. In a sense, it reminded her of - who else, but herself! Shannon couldn't believe that her Mistress would be so opposed to her Pokémon letting a stuck-up little Sentret know that she's not about to get away with bad-mouthing their trainer without putting up some sort of a fight. "Give Mewlita some space already!" the trainer barked, his voice now losing some of its feminine lustre. Not that he could care at that moment, he just needed to regain control over the present situation.
Kiara winked at the Sentret before skipping away from the small, brown Pokémon, saying to her, "I'll play some more with you later, nya~!" Broski was afraid of his own trainer now, slinking away from the Sentret as though he had been scolded. Shannon kept glaring at the Sentret as she slowly backed towards Fianna, making sure that she knew that it was definitely not over between them. When she got close enough, she turned around to face the trainer and knelt down almost at his feet. "Please forgive me, Mistress. I just couldn't allow-" The trainer cut her off as she was about to explain her actions to him, really not so much in the mood to listen to whatever excuse she was ready to come up with. "Shannon... Just stop it... Right now...!" All of her pent-up frustration was giving her a headache now, but she refused to disobey her Mistress's direct command. Instead, in a downcast tone, she simply replied with a "Yes, Mistress." She remained in that knelt down position while Fianna, trying his best to calm himself down, breathing heavily, walked past the Minccino and approached Mewlita.
He wasn't able to completely calm himself down, by the time he got close to the Sentret again. His face was red with embarrassment, feeling as though the only appropriate thing to do was to apologize for the bad behavior his Pokémon demonstrated. "Mewlita, I'm really sorry about my Pokémon... Also, for not knowing that you were a girl too..." At least, his feminine voice had returned to him just in time to try to patch things up.
He also felt like there was something important that he needed to add. "Thank you, as well... For keeping my Skitty amused for a time... She really did look happy while she was playing with you, curled up in a cute little ball..."
Shannon didn't care enough to be outraged that she was being scolded for defending her Mistress, but also praising the Sentret just for entertaining her Skitty for a little while. What was worse, to her, was the thought that her Mistress's thoughts were that easily manipulable that she would consider the Sentret's feelings before her own, even though the Minccino still believed that her Mistress should be able to hold the higher chain of command there.
Broski dug away at some of the snow below him and made a big enough area for him to lie down on his belly, disappointed that his human companion couldn't understand that she shouldn't just let others walk all over her, or talk down to her, and not expect some sort of retribution to follow. Instead, he just sulked there, waiting for the time to come when they would finally leave this madness behind. Kiara, in the meantime, dug into the snow a little bit using her face, picking up some of the snow on her tongue. She made a very excited kitty-face when she ate the snow, reacting to how cold it went down her throat, "Nyaaaaa!"

Oh boy, if the sentrets head could be replaced with any object in the world it would be an erupting volcano as her rage increased from the stupid trainers Pokémon saying that they had a right to call her a toy! How dare they insist that; she was a mighty cat, not some overused toy that people used when they wanted. She was about to give the Pokémon a piece of her mind when the trainer shouted out rather angrily. At first she shrank back from the fright of the shout, but stood up proud and strong to show that she wasn't afraid, even though she had nearly pooped herself out of fear. She muttered certain words like "mean" and "horrible" under her breath as the Pokémon got a ticking off, before giving a nod at the trainer for his apology. "The problem is I'm not letting this slide away like nothing happened." The sentret snorted as she kicked the ground with her feet before focusing on the trainer. "I demand a battle with you this instance, so that I, might Sent-Cat can show everyone I am not some overused toy to be tossed around with!" She said as he placed her hands on her hips, waiting for the trainers response.

He really didn't want to have to fight the Sentret, nuch less have to injure it in any way. He understood that there was a reason for her to request this challenge. However, as he looked around, his Buizel was still moping on the ground, Shannon was watching over him, and Kiara was pouncing and rolling around in the snow. There didn't look like a whole lot of interest in doing much else--let alone, get involved with the Sentret anymore since their trainer was so adamant in wanting to talk to her instead. He looked back at the Sentret, who was still awaiting his response to her challenge. "I'm sorry, Mewlita. It looks like my Pokémon are not interested in battling you now. I think they just want you to go away." He wasn't really smiling, but deep down inside he really was happy that they wouldn't have to resort to any sort of violence now. He picked up the Cherish Ball on his belt and pointed it towards the Skitty, sending a deep red light shooting towards the Pokémon which engulfed her before pulling her into the Ball with it. Shannon was curious about her Mistress suddenly withdrawing Kiara to her Ball, approaching the human with haste. "Mistress, what's going on?" He was still a little bit annoyed with how all of his Pokémon essentially overreacted to a couple of small things that the Sentret said earlier. "Let's go get Broski and move on from here," he said, walking towards the sulken Buizel, bending down and scooping him into his arms. The Minccino still didn't feel like her question had been properly responded to. So, she asked the trainer, "What are we going to do about the Sentret?" Fianna looked back at Mewlita one more time, then replied, "She was looking to battle either you, or Broski, or Kiara. But--" Hearing this, Shannon pulled down on her Minstress's hand, with both of hers, and tried to put on a cute face for him. Fianna had a feeling where this was going, and he wasn't sure if it was really a good feeling or not. Even so, Shannon pleaded to the trainer, "If you'd will me to, I can meet that Mewlita's challenge."Fianna wasn't sure whether it would be better for everyone -- including the Sentret -- accepting her challenge, or walking away and moving towards the next big thing that he didn't doubt would come soon afterward, thinking about what would be best to do about little Mewlita. He would rather things just calmed down for a bit so that he could catch his breath from all of this excitement and confusion of the past little while... She was a sensitive creature after all, and she didn't want to imagine that her sensual and seductive auras were making others push her away. Oh no, that was not the point of acting like this at all. She wanted friends, lovers, excitement and drama. <Mew mew how boring.> She said with an angry pout on her face, really too cute to look intimidating of any sort as she crossed her arms. They seemed to be debating something in the background, and the longer they took the more impatient she was getting. At least the Minccino looked ready to take her own, but the trainer was holding her back. <Mew mew what a shame, I thought you guys were fun.> She licked her paw and started to groom herself right then, smoothing down her ruffled up fur in an attempt to look somewhat decent before whatever happened. She wasn't sure about what was going on, but apparently the trainer had some things to work out here. She pretended to ignore them, but out of the corner of her eye she kept a close watch on their activities. She was definitely curious and interested in them, even if they were rejecting her multiple times. While she was waiting for her Mistress to make up her mind, she got an idea. One that would not only allow her to get a bit of payback on the Sentret, but, hopefully also get her to get more of a genuine feel of how the flow of a battle should be. She decided that there was at least no harm in suggesting it. She knew that she'd have to make a pretty strong case for it to work, though. "Excuse me, Mistress?" Fianna snapped out of whatever train of thought that she still had and focused on the Minccino, feeling a little bit more lukewarm about her interrupting him. "What is it, Shannon?" Hearing her Mistress response, she knew that she had her attention. She knew that she only had one chance to set her plan in motion, so she wasted no time trying to set the wheels in motion. "Mistress, I could teach you how Pokémon and their trainers are supposed to work together in a battle. It's something that all trainers learn eventually, just some take a little bit longer to get the hang of it."Fianna was a little bit of both surprised and interested in what his Minccino was suddenly saying. Shannon didn't notice that she was getting annoyed with what she had said, so she continued, "The foundation for any Pokémon-trainer relationship is how much they can trust one another's abilities. A battle is no different; a Pokémon and their trainer has to work together to achieve whatever means set out to overcome whatever obstacles lie in the team's path, whether it's a wild Pokémon or a trainer battle. If a trainer and their Pokémon aren't on the same page with one another, it can put a Pokémon in a very dangerous situation. That's why it is of the essence, for the sake of both the trainer and the Pokémon battling, that the trainer has to at least appear to be confident and in control at all times." Shannon didn't care of anyone overheard her little pep talk with her Mistress; she was aiming to goat Miss Mewlita over to them so that they might be able to finally engage one another in the heat of battle - even if she was going to attempt to cover it up by making it a 'tutorial' battle for her Mistress. It was a lot of things for him to think about. Is battling really a way of developing trust between trainers and their Pokémon..? I guess it could be, but... If they get hurt, wouldn't they dislike their trainers..? But maybe... She could be right about me needing to trust in my Pokémon more... And then, maybe they'll trust in me even more, too... He was thinking particularly of Broski, beginning to understand a little bit more that the way that he must have come off towards the Buizel was a bit more harsh than what he could have done when he really didn't understand his motive for getting in the face of the Sentret. Fianna also started to think about how Mewlita had requested a battle against whatever Pokémon he had. He wasn't accepting of every single little thing that Shannon told him, but he could feel himself starting to see some of the Minccino's logic. As he kept thinking things over, Shannon had her tail pointed towards the Sentret and tried using it to entice Mewlita over to them. She stopped moving her tail in time to ask the trainer, "Mistress, what are you thinking about?" Fianna was quick to reply, though trying to word it together well enough gave him difficulty enough. "Um... Um... Do you, uh... Think that we could... y'know..." Shannon waited patiently for her to finally say it, not saying a thing to give her Mistress a moment to finally try to complete her sentence. "Could we try, um... Teaming up together...?"On the inside, the Minccino's heart was racing very fast. On the outside, her tail moved around in excitement a little bit. She was happy that her Mistress was finally starting to understand that she needed to start being a little bit more of a trainer than she's been so far. Broski even reacted, turning over on his side, snuggling up towards Fianna's chest. It was a subtle sort of response, but it was his way of saying that his trainer was finally taking the right step forward towards being a stronger, more confident trainer. Now, all that there was left to figure out is if the Sentret would be so kind as to help to bring out some of the potential that Fianna was holding back inside of him... SENTRET APPEARED ! The fluffy animal crossed her arms as she pretended to be coy and look away from them, continuing to supervise their actions. It was taking so long she thought she would just leave, but she willed herself to stay, curious as to what would happen. Eventually the trainer and Minccino came to an agreement, 'teaming up,' it seemed. The Sentret could only guess that that meant they would humor her request for a battle.
If not, they could just feel sorry for themselves, because she wasn't going to hold back. <'Bout time, mew mew mew.> She purred with satisfaction. Narrowing her eyes in a coy smirk, she curled into a delicate, shield-like ball before unfurling quickly and zeroing in on her fluffy opponent. With haste, she swept towards him, brandishing her sharp claws with the intent to claw into her luscious fur.

With her Mistress on board at long last, Shannon took in the moment that was the Sentret coming towards them, getting pumped up to finally have her shot at taking out the tanuki-like Pokémon. "I believe that you can lead me to victory over that wild Pokémon, Mistress. I'll help you figure out what to do over the course of the battle." Fianna, however, was unsure that he could actually lead her well in the upcoming battle. But, knowing that he'd be letting his Minccino down - Mewlita, as well - if he didn't at least try, he looked over at the approaching Sentret and became nervous again. All he could sputter towards his Minccino was an "O...okay..."Shannon was not amused by the Sentret's arrogant remark. 'About time', is it? I guess I have no choice but to give that classless swine the beating that she so dearly deserves for looking down at my Mistress! She hadn't had time to say anything before she saw that the Sentret was already making her move. The rolling ball of fluff moved towards Shannon. When it got within inches of the Minccino, Mewlita uncurled herself, unsheathed her claws, and took a swipe at Shannon's face. In the spirit of giving her Mistress a proper tutorial on what she should be doing during a battle, she ducked the attempted Scratch, went back up and pushed the Sentret backwards, then performed a backwards flip to get herself closer to Fianna. Fianna was surprised. He didn't expect such reflexes from a Minccino who he had thought did not have much in the way of battle experience. Trusting her directions isn't going to be so easy, but he wasn't going to back down from something that he was going to have to eventually do with his Pokémon, as the trainer that he set out into the vast, wild world to be. "Mistress, it's now my turn to move in on that wild Sentret and show it my moves. As a trainer, you are supposed to give orders to your Pokémon and they will act out on them for you."Fianna couldn't quite wrap his head around the idea that he was supposed to give Pokémon orders for them to act out the trainers' will. He thought that very idea would turn him instantly into a slavedriver who verbally abuses his Pokémon to the point where they would come to dislike and disobey him very quickly. He really didn't want that to happen, so he said to Shannon, "But... Won't you dislike me if I'm always bossing you around whenever you're battling for me...?" Shannon couldn't believe what she was hearing her Mistress say. She had to try to set the record straight quickly, lest she risked her Mistress fearing the very idea she turned into a negative and lost all interest in the battle altogether. "Mistress. Pokémon are meant to follow the instructions their trainers give to them, unconditionally. I swear upon my life that I would never hate you for telling me what to do during a battle, Mistress."He still didn't really understand what would make a Pokémon - an entity that can think and act freely on its own in the wild - have to obey the orders of a human companion. Fianna became hesitant to say anything else to his Minccino, who became increasingly worried that he was still not getting the point. She decided to try to word things a little bit differently, hopefully to help her finally continue the battle. "Mistress, please think of it this way. You and I are a team right now. If we don't work together here, there's no way that we'll be able to win this battle. Therefore, it is important that you are able to give me a command that I can follow through with."Fianna thought about those words carefully. So, a Pokémon and a trainer have to work together, as a team, to battle other Pokémon..? Meanwhile, Shannon thought it was going to be necessary to speed things up. Sort of like learning the command phase of things 'on-the-fly'. "Mistress, for the moment, it would be to our strategic advantage if you were to command me to use my Pound attack against the Sentret. Soon enough, you'll understand what I've been saying a lot more clearly." Acting on the concept that they were supposed to be a team, Fianna felt like he could at least do as much with the Minccino as believe that there's some truth to her words. Taking a deep breath, he gave his Pokémon her first set of orders. "Shannon... Would you please, um... Growl and Pound, wasn't that what you said?"It wasn't a completely botched-up order, in the Minccino's mind. At the very least, she remembered what the attacks were. For now, that satisfied Shannon's definition of a 'command'. "Yes, Mistress!" she said, finally approaching Mewlita, getting close to the Sentret before she jumped up in the air and used her long tail to thrust down on the Sentret's body. [STYLE=border-bottom: 5px solid #FFC7FF;] [/style] The sentret floated in the air, also known as "Mewlita" to many, but that was besides the point right now. Even as the minccino managed to dodge her attack, but that was rather frustrating to her. No one should dodge divine beauty like that, and with the grace of an elk she tossed her head back after that pound hit her back. Knocking her down and onto her back as she dusted herself off huffing in a puff of dirt. Then she started to lick her fur as if she were a cat, and started to purr a little too. <Well, that was rude of you, now my fur is all messed up, how am I supposed to seduce anyone when I look like a mess, mew! You'll pay for this, mew! I should swoon to get your trainer's attention,> she teased the minccino. Although, it wasn't to be cruel, but after that run in with her. She was glad to be in one piece, and now she shook all of her fur after that endeavor. Floating up into the air and starting to curl herself up again, she got ready for her next attack. <I always land on all fours, mew,> she mewed again as she moved in to use another scratch on the minccino. Even as her scratch had missed earlier, but no matter this time it would surely hit if she had her way! Hopefully the little rascal wouldn't dodge her again. After landing the attack on Mewlita, Shannon returned most of the way back towards Fianna, completely ignoring whatever the Sentret seemed to be saying. "Thanks to your instruction, I was able to follow through and land a hit on the opposing Pokémon." The trainer wasn't overly excited about having told his Minccino to go hurt a Pokémon like Mewlita. Is this really what a Trainer is supposed to do...?The strong tone of silence from her Mistress made Shannon believe that she wasn't exactly understanding just how essential it was for the trainer and Pokémon to be in sync with each other in the thick of battle. Regardless, she spoke again, "Now, it is the opponent's turn to attack," as she watched the Sentret bowl her way towards the Minccino, unsheathing her claws as she got within range. "Shannon, look out!" Fianna gasped, watching as Mewlita closed in on Shannon. For the sake of demonstration, Shannon just stood there and took the claw to the chest. Fianna became terribly concerned for his Minccino, who resisted grabbing where she could feel the stinging sensation, as he gasped, "Shannon! NOOO!"Hearing her Mistress's yelp, she knew that she had to say something to calm him down a little bit. "Mistress, I'm okay. I got hurt a little bit, which is going to happen many times during the battles that we have to be involved in. Not every attack coming towards me will be dodged completely, like what happened at first. That's just the way that a battle flows." Her Mistress tried giving the idea some thought. Except the more that he thought about Pokémon hurting one another in battles upon trainer commands, it kept making him think Why isn't there a less violent way to raise Pokémon... Especially cute ones...The Minccino continued, "There are a few things that you can do now, Mistress. You can tell me to attack once again, or use an item from your bag, or you can switch me out for another one of your Pokémon. Don't worry about switching Pokémon for now, Mistress. That'll be a lesson for later." Fianna remembered that she had gotten a bunch of items from that scary Ranger Walker, back at the Ranger Station, as she thought that it might be a good idea to check to see if she had anything that might heal Shannon's small injury. "Would you like me to look through my bag to see if I have anything that can heal you right now?" he asked the Minccino, the previous Scratch attack landed still fresh in his mind. Shannon turned to look at her Mistress, shaking her head. "That attack didn't do much to me, Mistress. Don't worry about using something to heal me just yet."Controlling the outcome of a battle was a really complicated concept for Fianna to get a good grasp of, even with that much instruction he'd been given. But, he was doing his best to believe in the things that the Minccino was trying to tell him. She seemed to know a lot about how to work with a trainer, despite this being the very first battle that they've been in together. That made him somewhat curious about the Minccino. Though, the secret to her knowledge was the least of his concerns right now, as he heard her continue to give more instructions. "This time, let's combine my Growl and Pound attacks together to get more damage on Mewlita - on your command, of course, my Mistress," said the Minccino, awaiting her Mistress's orders. As the wind started to pick up a little bit, making his dark hair flow in the breeze, he didn't feel his confidence increasing all that much, in spite of all that Shannon had been helping him with. "A-Are you sure t-that's the b-best we can d-do for now...?" Shannon was willing to reassure her again, knowing that she'd eventually gain the confidence needed to command her Pokémon, and also use basic strategy. "Rest assured, Mistress. This is our best strategy for the moment."Fianna decided that there wasn't much more use in thinking about it further. He wanted Shannon to believe that he was willing to learn the basics of battling, since it was her attempting to teach him. "P-Please use your Growl and Scratch, Shannon!" Upon hearing the trainer's command, Shannon sprung into action. She approached the Sentret, stopping halfway to sound off her Growl attack in the Sentret's direction, then continuing on her path towards Mewlita. She got close enough that she could strike Mewlita with her Pound, hoping to land another direct hit... She managed to make her attacks when she wanted, feeling satisfaction from the scratches digging into the Minccino's fur. The only issue was the complete and utter amount of distraction going on between Pokemon and Trainer; they both were in their own little world, forgetting that there was a wild Pokemon right in front of them. Now at any moment, she could probably keep attacking while they were still debating what attacks they wanted to do. Instead, she chose to do the noble thing and make sexy poses in the background. She stretched her body out and made her tail curl up, beckoning to the Minccino as she winked at the gray Pokemon. Battles were all fun and games anyways, but next time she got ignored for such a long period of time, she was going to make them regret it. <Hurry up, mew mew. I'm bored, mew.> She purred in the meantime, glad to see that she was noticed at the end of their private time. She was growled at, which made Shannon look twice as cute now that she saw that adorable move. <Me gusta, mew.> She felt her heart thump at the beckoning call, only to get Pounded on the chest. She didn't even notice how the trainer said Scratch, too caught up in the heat of the battle. Backing off from the claws against her arms, she winced and grinned at her new playtoy. <Keep amusing me, Shannymew.> She teased, before bolting in suddenly with a Quick Attack with intentions of surprising her. ::Sentret:: level 7 ( f ) "mewlita" runaway & keen eye quick attack . defense curl . foresight . scratch thinks she's a cat - overuses the word mew - tries to be seductive, but gets all the mens Hit by Pound! After the attack landed its mark for the second time in a row, her display of coolness was offset by the Sentret's remark. She was quick to respond, trying to hold onto what self-control that kept her from lashing out. Before attempting to athletically return closer to her Mistress's side, she argued to Mewlita, "A harlot like you could never understand that I am only my Mistress's 'Shannymew'. My sole purpose for existing is to serve the one who summoned me here. You shall not have me, let alone besmirch my name!"Nothing about the Sentret amused Shannon in any way. The things that Mewlita said irked her. And if that wasn't already bad enough, she was supposedly trying to impress the Minccino with some poses that she had come up with in her boredom. Shannon only knew this from looking over her shoulder to watch her briefly a few times, while she was last strategizing with her trainer. Before Shannon could return and plot out the next attack with Fianna, she was quickly nailed from the front by a full-bodied tackle. As she was being knocked back, she regained control over her body and flipped backwards in mid-air, landing on her feet again. Fianna, who now held Broski as if he was a stuffed animal, had his eyes closed as he hugged the Buizel tightly. "Gah... Sisbro... You can let go now, she's- Guh..! ...fine..." Fearing the worse, he opened his eyes anyway and saw that the Minccino had skillfully landed on her feet. He ceased to embrace the Buizel so tightly, and the Buizel heaved, "Thanks, Sisbro...I needed that..." Shannon leapt backwards a couple of times, getting close to Fianna again. She began her next lesson without hesitation. "Sometimes, the best thing to do is use a defensive move. For example, when Mewlita rolls up into a ball, she's really using a Pokémon move called Defense Curl. This turn, you will instruct me to use only my Growl, which will help reduce the amount of damage future attacks against me will do." So that's what that move does... he thought as he seemed a little happier that he would get to call out a less physically-destructive move this time around. With little hesitation on Fianna's behalf, he called out the next move in the battle: "Shannon, Growl Mewlita!" She nodded, bolting out a little ways before stopping. She took a breath and directed the sound-based attack towards her opponent. Health is Green! Scratch on Minccino! (Defense +3, Attack -2) Mewlitia just raised an eyebrow at how the minccino was baisicly dictating its trainer on how give the orders for the battle; wasn't it supposed to be the other way around though? You know, the trainer giving the pokemon the command. Well, it was obvious who wore the trousers in that relationship then wasn't it. Mewlita gave a grin at this with a chuckle before flincing at the growl slightly. "Is the that best you can give me mewccino?" She said with a laugh as she brushed her body with a hand. "Let me show you why I deserve to be mewstress' pokemon!" She cried out before running at the minccino before flinging out a arm in order to strike at it with a claw, hoping her scratch would send it flying backwards.

That last comment made Shannon seethe in a way that Shannon really wanted to bury her and turn her into a furry freezer pop. But, before that could happen, Mewlita bore her claw and took another swipe at the Minccino. Shannon turned away and raised her arm to her face level, protecting her face as the attack hit her in the arm, just below her shoulder. Now it was Shannon's turn to prove that she's the far superior of the two combatants. She ran back towards Fianna, who was already ready to speak before the Minccino could give out her next set of instructions. "C-Can you still b-battle, Sh-Shannon!?" the trainer asked in a disconcerting tone, seeing the Minccino hold her injured arm a little bit closer to her body. "If you think you need it, I could try using an item on you..."Shannon needed to prove that the best that that Sentret could hope for is being her Mistress's flag bearer, if Fianna ever thought about making her a new team member. In the meantime, she responded to her Mistress's concern, "I'm still fine, Mistress. Don't worry about that now; here's the plan for the next attack. Command me to use both of my moves together." Fianna tentatively nodded, despite still being worried that his Minccino seemed inclined to push herself as hard as possible just to demonstrate to him what a real battle is meant to be like. Shannon turned back to face the Sentret, thinking about how she'd love to kick some snow in that Sentret's face once she's made Mewlita her bitch. She didn't have to wait for very long, hearing her Mistress's command, "Use Growl and Scratch, Shannon..!" The Minccino was willing to forgive her Mistress once for mistaking her Pound for a Scratch attack, but it was something that she needed to correct her about for future attacks and battles. "Mistress, I can't use the move Scratch. My main offensive move, at the moment, is Pound." Fianna felt embarrassed about slipping up on something so easily and got down on himself very easily, letting his head sink down towards his chest. "Sorry... I thought the move was Scratch..." The trainer's expression was still audible to Shannon, who wondered if that was really the best time to mention about the mistake in her attacks. Broski wiggled free of his trainer's grasp and nodded in the direction of the Minccino as if to tell her that he'd take care of Fianna while she made her move on the Sentret. Broski climbed up on his shoulder and spoke into his ear, "It's fine, Sisbro. She understands what move you meant to say. It was an honest mistake, so don't feel so bad about a little mistake like that. You'll do a lot more things well to balance out the mistakes you'll make." Fianna didn't feel so much assured, thinking deeply about the last thing he said in particular. Can I really make a lot more good decisions to cover for mistakes I make....? In any event, Fianna's self-doubt still shrouded him into wondering just what kind of relationship he really wanted to have with his Pokémon. As Broski dealt with her Mistress, Shannon moved in on Mewlita once again, used her Growl, using it to cover for the Pound attack she was going to launch right across the middle of her body. Time to knock the hot air out of your massive ego, vermin! she thought as she swung her tail in front of her, directed at the Sentret. She really didn't like this ugly grey runt, and with that attitude, who would? Certainly not the Sentret, and she stuck out her tongue childishly as the grey chinchilla tried to whip her with a white tipped tail.
“You're as old as you are grey, lady,” Mewlita laughed obnoxiously as she rolled out of the way of the Pound attack, her body scratching against the ground until she managed to twist onto her legs. In an attempt to hit Shannon at point blank range, she bunched her muscles and sprung towards the chinchilla in a Quick attack.

Shannon missed with the Pound attack, and then had to listen to whatever garbage that the Sentret seemed to want to spew out. It didn't seem clear anymore whether she was still trying to play mind games with Shannon, or if she was really trying to make herself into a hypocrite. Or, perhaps a little bit of both. Though, choosing to believe the latter, the Minccino found the latest remark to be a little bit more than amusing. Even as the Sentret charged at her, Shannon stood her ground, her pride of being a strong-willed Pokémon being tested, she bore a cocky smile when she got up from being hit by the Quick Attack, using her tail to flip her upright again. The physical fatigue began to show in the Minccino's body language, bending one leg forward and stretching the other behind her body, her arms hooking down from the sides of her body. She casually shook her coat off and wiped the front of her paws off on her chest fur, never taking her eye off of her opponent, not even to return closer to her Mistress's side. Fianna could tell that the last attack must have done some bad damage for his Minccino to have to go into a compromised stance that way. He started to hold his hand closer to Shannon's Poké Ball, but not grabbing it until he had a chance to make sure she could still continue the fight herself. "Shannon, you don't look well... Come back here and I'll give you something to recover your health..." A combination of testosterone and adrenaline pumped through Shannon's veins, willing her to not want to stop until she brought that bitch down hard. "Mistress! I'm still all right!" she boomed, her voice trying to express authority moreso than usual. Let's go with the same combination as last time..! CALL IT NOW!!" The intensity of Shannon's voice made the trainer somewhat shaky. His nervousness was getting to him once again. Broski didn't even have to look for longer than two seconds to see that he had to get involved once again. "Sisbro... You have to calm down so that you can concentrate on the situation at hand better," he said as he wrapped his body in some of Fianna's long black hair. In Fianna's mind, he thought that the Buizel wrapping himself in his hair, to keep himself comfortable in these frigid conditions, was, in a matter of speaking, cute. He could feel himself settling down a little bit more now, raising a hand up towards the side of Broski's face and stroking it. Meanwhile, as she was wondering how long it would take her Mistress to give the order to attack, Shannon made it a point to throw in her opinion of what she thought of her opponent. "If I'm such an old, gray lady to you, that must make you a powder puff. Your attacks mean nothing to me." Fighting herself just a bit to breathe, she eagerly awaited her Mistress's next set of orders. Right on cue, she didn't have to wait very long to hear the familiar sound of her Mistress again. "Same as last time, Shannon...!" As Fianna did as his Minccino told him to tell her to do, Shannon let out another Growl, and then followed it up with a jump that elevated high enough, towards Mewlita, that her Pound attack would strike the Sentret right on the site of her head. With eyes wide with surprise, she bounced back and forth with observant eyes on the trainer's stance, not entirely sure on what to make of that command. If the human was mad, did that mean that bad things were in store for her? <Mewmew, got a drama llama over here.> She commented, trying to solicit a laugh from anyone that was around. She was nervous and she knew it, finding it hard to purr when things were this tense. <Pfft.> There was no retort on the top of her head for Shannon's witty comeback. The growl remained as cute as ever as she winced and felt less inclined to attack the darling. <Eeek! Mew! So cute!> She whined, getting hit on her arm before she curled up into a small ball. She blushed in this state, heart pounding as she tried to recover from Shannon's adorableness. That confident look in her eyes...! It was something she admired. 'Ouch, mew mew. Hurt more than it should've.' She teared up at the critical hit Shannon gave her, slowly uncurling and revealing her floppy ears. Mewlita might've been having a tiny bit of trouble with this, but she'd earn their respect somehow! She charged ahead with a Scratch attack at the Minccino's tail, planning on giving it a mocking yank for good measure. If anything, she wanted a reaction from the Minccino. It wasn't an attack, but she wanted to see more cute things from the lass.

Shannon's tail managed to hit the Sentret in the arm that she used to block her head from being smashed. As she jumped back, she watched Mewlita while she was on the ground, curled up in her little ball form. The way that she'd been obsessing over Shannon ever since she arrived on the scene, she could only imagine what Mewlita was doing while she was just curled up on the ground like that. It was a thought that made Shannon a little uneasy while she waited to see what the Sentret was plotting to do next. Shannon knew, even with the outwardly display of bravado that she was demonstrating in her stubbornness to refuse falling for Mewlita's feminine charm, she could ill afford to take this opponent lightly. As sure as she thought the might be about being able to take a few more of the Sentret's attacks, she wanted to assure her Mistress victory - regardless of the outcome. While waiting for the Sentret to move again, Shannon turned her head to look back at Fianna, who was still busy stroking Broski's fur. "Mistress, how was that for an attack?" she said, looking to seek her Mistress's kind praise. Fianna was enjoying himself a little bit more now, though that was only because he couldn't keep his hand away from petting Broski all over his body. It felt a little awkward for the Buizel to be stroked so much, but it was something that he didn't mind putting himself through just so that the trainer wouldn't keep being so negative and hard on herself. "Looking good, so far. Just don't overdo it out there.....okay?" A compliment was a compliment, even if it did come with some very obvious concern at the same time. To keep her Mistress from reverting back to being self-doubtful, Shannon nodded and replied. It'll be okay, Mistress. I promise that I'll let you know when it's time to use an item on me."Looking back towards Mewlita, Shannon saw that the Sentret was making her next move towards her. For some reason, the way that the Sentret was charging at the Minccino off-centered made Shannon wonder what Mewlita was planning to do this time. Shannon wasn't going to let that Sentret get away with attacking her from the side. She remained patient, until the moment that Mewlita started to lunge towards her backside. Not this time, little girl, she mused to herself as she jumped up to avoid the oncoming assault. Without waiting for her Mistress's command, she decided to demonstrate to her what a quick counterattack looked like. As Shannon fell, she whipped her entire body around, pinwheeling her tail to land a body shot to Mewlita's kidneys. A look of determined desperation also shot down at the Sentret in an attempt to make it known that she had no intention of giving up, or allowing her to think that she might have the upper hand on her just yet. Before she could even make a comment on how fast Shannon was in battle, she was tail smacked right in the belly. Her body fat jiggled a bit from the hit as she held her arm over that area, wincing from the sting of the move as she stumbled backwards. She was able to endure the hit fairly well after those defense boosts, but the Minccino was probably having an easier time enduring her own attacks as well. <Mew! Stay still!> Mewlita was having a hard time keeping up with this frisky mouse when it wasn't even that small in the first place. To be honest, she did find herself growing envious of the Minccino's skills. They were rather impressive, though the technical part about it went right over her head. Technician was making those Pound attacks stronger than normal, and then with the Silk Scarf added, it was definitely going to be a pain in the rear. Defense boosts were keeping the Sentret at ease, but the Minccino was something to look out for. Narrowing her keen eyes at the gray mouse in concentration, she took in her prey's physical structure once more. She felt more than compelled to analyze the cutie pie, making sure that she wouldn't pull that on her again. If she did, then shame on her! <Mew mew, you aren't the only fast one here.> She teased, licking her lips as she crouched down on all fours. In a snap, she was bolting after the Minccino in an attempt to run the creature over. It would've been as if she was a car, planning on smacking into Shannon's back and running right over her face.

After landing another Pound attack, Shannon returned to her Mistress and knelt before him, her tone turning serious instantaneously. "Mistress, I am truly sorry for not waiting for your order before attacking again. I just needed to take advantage by counterattacking quickly. Always be on the look out for opportunities to counter the opponent's strategy, Mistress." Fianna didn't understand what the Minccino was apologizing for. It was as she had said earlier: they were both in it together. "Don't apologize... You're really doing great out there; it's me who has to try harder to be a better trainer for you, and for the rest of my Pokémon...," she confessed, still stroking Broski's fur. Even though such a choice of words might have usually sounded like her Mistress getting down on herself again, this time seemed different somehow. Perhaps much of it did have to do with the fact that the Buizel was a calming force to Fianna's otherwise passive-aggressive attitude. However, for her Mistress to admit that there is much that she still has to work on before she can become a much stronger trainer, to Shannon, that had to mean that her Mistress was at least doing her best to understand the bare essentials of what it means to be a Pokémon Trainer. They were words that gave the Minccino some extra inspiration. "Mistress... You've proven that you have the courage to be able to command a Pokémon in battle. Now, it's time for you to call the shots on-" Fianna had to interrupt, witnessing Mewlita's attempt to rush at Shannon. "Look out behind you..!" the trainer cried out, making the Minccino react by turning her head to see that the Sentret was just about to hit her with a full-on Quick Attack. All Shannon could do was brace for the impact, turning her body sideways and sticking her shoulder out. Even with the Minccino's low center of gravity in that position, the impact was still enough to knock her off of her feet, landing right in front of Fianna's feet. The trainer's concern for his Minccino's condition grew once again, setting his Buizel down to pick up the battle-weary Shannon. "Are you all right, Shannon!?"Shannon wasn't yet losing her consciousness due to fatigue, but she also blushed when she realized that her Mistress had her held in the palms of her hands. I can't... lie down and quit now...! Using her long tail, she whacked at one of her Mistress's hands and got up to shake the snow off of her coat. "Mistress! Now's not the time to be so concerned. I can still fight. Tell me which attacks I should use this time, Mistress." Shannon jumped down from her Mistress's touch, landing a little bit unsteady on her feet. She locked eyes with Mewlita, determined that she could still win the proverbial war of attrition versus the Sentret. Fianna felt like he needed to continue to believe in Shannon this time, as well. If she said she was okay to continue battling, then there wasn't much of a point in trying to argue. "Use y-your G-Growl and P-Pound together..." Nerves got to him once again, which Shannon could hear from the command her Mistress had given her. But since this was an order coming solely from Fianna, she really wanted to make this one count. As if catching a second wind, she charged towards Mewlita with extra vigor, aiming for another body shot, swinging for the fences, with her tail once more. ShannonFemale @ level 5 Abilities: Cute Charm & Technician Attacks: Pound, Growl Next move: Helping Hand (level 7) Held items: Silk Scarf Personality: like a maid, calm, composed, wise, dutiful, speaks a little more eloquently than most Pokémon "low Orange" health Hit by the foe Mewlita's Quick AttackUsing Growl & Pound on foe Mewlita The next turn will be the most important, I refuse to give up to the likes of you just yet...!
