He proved worthy in the first one, defeating Tina although it was much harder than he originally thought. Now, to get that nasty taste out of his mouth he wished to take on ten different challengers now to prove that the previous battle was an aberration. He had all of his Pokémon from his team with him. The strongest of the bunch and the weaker of the bunch.
Either way, it would be great battles for him regardless of who he had to battle. He simply waited and hoped to finish his second mission since becoming commander. "Bring it on. Whose up first!" He said out loud. It was sort of like a challenge room here, he would not leave until he finished beating all ten.

The battle would not be taking place in the expert room, and so levels would be very crucial. He wondered how strong his opponent's team was, and once the trainer had stepped into the room to accept the challenge, he felt a twinge of worry. Blitz was a skilled trainer with many strong pokemon. Blaze had not been training as well as he should have, and as much as he would like to blame it on his other work, his pokemon needed the training.
It would be rather embarrassing to him if he lost, though. He supposed that he would just have to win?
He nodded as a form of acknowledgement as the trainer walked over to his side of the room. "Rules?" he asked, taking off his thicker winter jacket and draping it over his arm.
ooc i'm a slower poster, but hopefully this time around we'll be able to finish a few rounds? C; i was thinking no items - no switching and using pokemon until one of us (probably me) stops posting? Our pokemon have a good spread of levels so it shouldn't be too imbalanced

It was Blaze, his own leader, the person who he wished to surpass one day but as of now did not feel ready. Still, he wanted to test his power against the executive and see how far he has come. He was only one rank below Blaze now so their rankings weren't that different, but he still did not expect to be anywhere near Blaze's power in terms of levels. He knew the executive had been busy with other things, but he also knew the power that he held so this was definitely something he had to be prepared for and hit hard. "Rules? Anything you want. You are the boss." He said as he took out his first pokeball to start the match. He decided to start with his weakest one, knowing from all the rumors that Blaze loved Charmander so usually Kisara would be a nice first bid. The Charmander hit the field and quickly gave a loud yawn, ready to take on whomever she had to face first as she looked at Blaze. >Hi there. You look strong and very put together.< She said as she smiled at the fire trainer. One thing about this match really scared Blitz, it was the fact that he did not prepare his team for the challenger so he ended up carrying a grass type and also ended up using his Larvesta also, two pokemon that he knew the trainer would simply smash. And Kisara, although powerful in moveset, did not have a high level so that scared him a bit also. This wasn't going to be his ideal match, and he decided to already break his rule and heal his pokemon after this battle. Because he knew right off the bat that he'd end up losing most to the executive. "You can make the first move." He said. He'd regret it but he had to show his respects to the exec. ::Charmander:: * name: Kisara | * Level: 15 | * Gender: Female * Ability 1: Blaze * Attack Set 1: Scratch, Fire Pledge, Toxic, Fire Blast * Attack Set 2: Smokescreen, Growl, Substitute, Swords Dance

He never really liked him -- definitely too weird and nonhuman for him, but he was a strong trainer. However, when a small charmander was released, Blaze was having second doubts. She looked young, definitely not that strong, probably a bit innocent and naive, and he supposed this was why the battle wasn't being set in the expert rooms. The trainer tried to ignore the pang in his chest every time he saw the small lizard-like creature. Now was no time for sentimentalities. Hopefully this trainer raised her well. He would just have to go with his weakest and not reveal his more powerful Pokémon right away. Goku was released from his pokeball, the fighting type looking almost more timid than the charmander. " If you insist," Blaze said, before commanding a taunt and a mach punch. Goku immediately became a bit more confident, the attack instilling energy into him as he raised himself on his hind legs and beat his chest with his arms, daring the charmander to come and attack him straight on. For good measure, the monferno let out a few ape-like cries to further taunt his opponent before launching himself into battle with a speedy punch. ::monferno::

You look nervous. What is up?!< She asked the monkey type who did not look like he was ready for a fight at all. But then, a voice... A soothing voice, quickly fixed that and he jumped right into action with his attacks. First, he beat his chest and dared her to go right after him, which Kisara took with a laugh. She wasn't angry as she did not get angry easily, but she did think it was playful and thus fell for the taunt. But she wasn't beating her chest furiously or going crazy to attack the monkey, rather yet she was still pretty calm. Just not able to use anything but attacks. The next thing that came though, well... that hurt! The blazing speed of the monkey came right at her and she was punched head on by a mach punch that seemed to do a bit more damage than she originally anticipated. >Woah?! I've seen that attack before, and had my own pokemon use it. But it never hurt that much. What's going on?< The former morph turned pokemon asked. She then looked confuse and turned to Blitz. >So boss, what do I do?<She asked and Blitz quickly smiled. "Toxic and Scratch." He said. It was time to put a timer in this match. Only problem, well it seemed he wasn't thinking straight against the executive because the taunt prevented the toxic. But luckily for him, she was able to charge the Monferno up front with her claws out in hopes of scratching him. But with that speed... Boy, he'd probably get another mach punch in if he wished... ::Charmander:: * name: Kisara | * Level: 15 | * Gender: Female * Ability 1: Blaze * Attack Set 1: Scratch, Fire Pledge, Toxic, Fire Blast * Attack Set 2: Smokescreen, Growl, Substitute, Swords Dance Hit by Taunt and Mach Punch Used Scratch

This pokemon looked so innocent, as if he had never stepped foot on a battlefield before. But he had just punched her, and so now it's just... she seemed more curious and intrigued than anything else. He did not answer, but glanced at the muscle band, almost subconsciously, before looking back at Blaze. He didn't see the pokemon come to him with a scratch, the hit landing on his chest. It hadn't drawn any blood, but it had still hurt quite a bit. " Bulk up, and Mach Punch again," said Blaze, wondering what other pokemon Blitz was going to use. His pokemon was clearly stronger in this matchup, but he would have to get ready for the next. His pokemon rubbed the scratch sound a bit, trying to soothe it, before bulking up his muscles to boost both defense and attack. He then clenched his fist and went in for another speedy attack. ::monferno:: [ atk +1 | def +1 ]

But when her scratch hit and did not draw blood, the level difference became that much more apparent, and this time around the monkey was too quick for her to even see as it bulked up and swung at her, doing much more damage than originally. She was quickly growing weak and she even started to spin around, a bit dazed from all the punches which came from practically nowhere. "Shit!" Blitz said out loud and outright, he knew he would not win the first battle which made him very nervous because he knew against someone like the executive, he could not fall into a downward spiral. Luckily for him, it wasn't over just yet. If he could somehow just have Kisara last three turns and then have the taunt break, he could possibly gain the upper hand again. But by the looks of the punches and the bulk up, that might not be so likely. Blitz waited patiently for a counter plan. The scratch did barely anything, and the bulk up strengthened the fire type's defense... What else could he do? He did not have anything else but scratch and then fire moves, which against a fire type was outright dumb. But in this predicament, Blitz had no more choice... "Fire Blast! Go!" He said and Kisara quickly shot a large fire ball at her opponent. She was confused with the command, but she knew from the attacks of the monkey that she was overmatched. So going strong was the best she really could do. ::Charmander:: * name: Kisara | * Level: 15 | * Gender: Female * Ability 1: Blaze * Attack Set 1: Scratch, Fire Pledge, Toxic, Fire Blast * Attack Set 2: Smokescreen, Growl, Substitute, Swords Dance Hit by Mach Punch, health yellow Used Fire Blast

The pokemon was definitely impressive and he was certain that she would become very strong. He just had to be careful not to let his guard down. Goku hadn't managed to dodge the attack, feeling the heat burn through his defences to deal a chunk of damage. The trainer wasn't too sure if Blitz had an endgame as the attack was definitely an interesting choice. Perhaps he was going for power, more than anything else. He would have to be more careful and plan out his next move. Would he lower the charmander's defences or raise his own pokemon's attack? Blaze was confident that Goku was going to win. He had to, even though the charmander might be stronger than he initially thought. " Again, bulk up and fury swipes!" The attack would be more of a gamble, but if Goku could land more than just a couple of hits, it would pay off. His pokemon once again concentrated his energy to make his next move stronger before he readied himself to launch another attack. The fire blast had intimidated him quite a bit, but he would have to believe in himself. He clenched his front paws before leaping forward, extending every part of his body and tried to swipe the charmander as many times as he could. ::monferno:: GOKU (21.5) M [ atk +2 | def + 2 ]

The attack by the Monferno only struck twice as the others were not as accurate and thus she was able to avoid them. This let her survive for at least one more turn, which hopefully would do wonders for the pokemon as her innate ability also began to activate at this point as she fell to the marginal remnants of her health and was about to faint. Blitz could see this and regretted using Fire Blast so soon as he knew that the attack would have been a godsend now that Blaze had activated. But he simply allowed it, sighed, and went with something else. With Kisara down to her final energy left, he decided that he should just go for another strong attack now and hope for the best. "Alright. Fire again, Pledge." He said and Kisara quickly began to send a large stream of fire at the Monferno, again not as effective since the pokemon was part fire himself. But the stream also increased in size and power due to the innate ability of Kisara, which made it much stronger than anything else he could use at the moment... Especially with the increased defenses of Goku. ::Charmander:: * name: Kisara | * Level: 15 | * Gender: Female * Ability 1: Blaze * Attack Set 1: Scratch, Fire Pledge, Toxic, Fire Blast * Attack Set 2: Smokescreen, Growl, Substitute, Swords Dance Hit by Fury Swipes (x2), health red Used Fire Pledge (+Blaze)

The fire attacks took damage but he would be fine to battle whatever was coming next. The monferno recognized the sign of the pokemon's ability acting up and knew that it wouldn't take too much to defeat him now. With Goku's power being boosted by the bulk ups along with the muscle band, every subsequent attack deal more damage. Blaze had to stop the charmander before it dealt anymore damage, though. Goku would just have to hurriedly finish this with a " Mach Punch!" The fire pledge was quite a sight to see, as Blaze had never seen it being used -- he had heard about it but it was a rather artificial attack which could not be learned naturally and he had yet to find the opportunity to find a tutor to teach his pokemon. Goku took the attack face on, feeling the heat run through him. He didn't let it phase him too much, even though he was starting to feel weakened by the constant attacks, and charged through the attack with his fist swinging forward, hopefully hitting the intended target. ::monferno:: GOKU (21.5) M [ atk +2 | def + 2 ]

But the only problem was, the level difference simply overwhelmed her and she could not react quick enough to the mach punch that hit her in the back of the head and made her face plant to the ground. With that, she was unconscious and unable to battle, overwhelmed by the Monferno who was simply much more superior than her poor butt. With Kisara defeated, Blitz sighed as he took out his pokeball to return his Charmander. But her body quickly began to glow bright white and soon her tail grew bigger, her body expanded, her muscles became more defined, and her fire became stronger. She had evolved to a Charmeleon from the experience of the battle, and this made the trainer a bit happier as he returned his Charmeleon to her pokeball before he took out his next pokeball. He threw the ball right up in the air and suddenly, in a flash the pokemon flew out and went right after the Monferno with a quick aerial ace attack. It was so fast, so blinding, Blitz could not see it himself! And with his nice headband, the attack increased in power, making it even more deadly and even more super effective against the fighting fire monkey. ::Rufflet:: Rufflet * name: Daedalus | * Level: 32 | * Gender: Male * Item: Muscle Band (10% physical) * Ability 1: Keen Eye * Ability 2: Sheer Force (Moves with secondary effect +33% but lose effect) * Attack Set 1: Aerial Ace, Slash, Wing Attack, Fly * Attack Set 2: Defog, Leer, Hone Claws, Scary Face Used Aerial Ace on Monferno

There was no real contest between the two, level-wise and type-wise. Blaze cringed at the slaughter, Goku trying his best to dodge the attack but the flying type's speed outmatching him. The ape-like pokemon fell to the ground, fainted, and Blaze immediately returned him to his pokeball. So, what would be able to take down this pokemon that seemed rather well trained? Hell and Hades would both be able to do quite a good job. They had a wider diversity of attacks that would allow him to bring the rufflet down. He settled on Hell, hoping to impress the trainer before him with the legendary pokemon. Releasing the entei onto the field, the whole area seemed to have a different aura. Perhaps it was only in Blaze's mind, but he would like to think that Hell had quite a presence, despite his smaller-than-average size. " Reflect and Stone Edge!" Blaze called out, mixing in defensive strategies to go with his violent offensive. The pokemon roared and a barrier seemed to appear out of nowhere, shimmering as if it were made of nothing but air, heated to cushion anything that dared to come through it. Hell followed up by stomping a paw into the ground violently, making the whole area shake and stone shards circled the fire type. With a roar, the rocks flew toward the flying type, the movements erratic and imprecise, but deadly upon contact. ::monferno:: FAINTED!

Unfortunately for him, since Blitz had Hades on his team, the Entei (Hell) wasn't as frightening as Blaze would have imagined. Blitz simply smiled when he saw the Entei, it reminded him a lot of his own, but it did look much smaller in comparison to Hades. He wondered how Hades would do against that thing, but he also did not want to come to that, rather opting to take it out with Daedalus instead. The Entei was quick though, it immediately set up a reflect to shield itself from physical attacks before it launched a large boulder at Daedalus which threw him off of his track and made his crash hard on the ground, sustaining a great deal of damage from the attack. In just one move, the health of the dropped all the way to low yellow thanks to the power of that one attack. Blitz felt a bit overwhelmed but he would not give in just yet... "Alright. Daedalus, Defog. Then Slash!" He said. Blaze thought the reflect was impressive? Well suddenly the Rufflet blew his wings really fast in an attempt to break the reflective shield and also make Hell easier to spot and less evasive, and then he flew right at the pokemon and attempted to slash him with a stronger slash attack thanks to the muscle band. Blitz then looked up at the executive, wondering how he took that move. ::Rufflet:: * name: Daedalus | * Level: 32 | * Gender: Male * Item: Muscle Band (10% physical) * Ability 1: Keen Eye * Ability 2: Sheer Force (Moves with secondary effect +33% but lose effect) * Attack Set 1: Aerial Ace, Slash, Wing Attack, Fly * Attack Set 2: Defog, Leer, Hone Claws, Scary Face Hit by Stone Edge (SE), health is low-yellow Used Defog and Slash Blitz Diark |

The barrier flickered out of existance and the trainer cursed himself for not preparing himself, for not knowing. He tried not to look too sour about the turn of events, especially as the slash left quite a gash on his entei's side. " Hell, substitute!" The move was one of cowardice, Blaze felt, but it was necessary. The small feathered pokemon was stronger than he had expected and this would help him survive better. He figured that it would last him two or three rounds, depending on what Blitz had up his sleeves. Hell seemed to stop moving for a few seconds as the smokey mane grew larger and larger, creating a thick blanket in order to hide himself. When the smoke dissipated, there was nothing more than a reflection of him standin, hazy but definitely solid, the real pokemon hiding out a bit further back. The attack had taken a lot of energy from the entei, but it would be enough for now. He would conserve his energy for his next attack. ::entei:: HELL | 33.5 | M

This time around, he wasn't tricked when he saw a substitute figure of the Entei show up. He could tell that the health was much lower, not falling for this twice. But then again, unlike Tina he dealt with a real trainer now. One that hit hard so he had to work and get rid of it fast or else he'd regret it later. What would he do? What would he do? He could decrease the defense but he did not know if Leer worked against a substitute. He could slow down the pokemon, but again that was the same problem. He could- Then it hit him. "Daedalus Hone Claws. Then Wing Attack!" He said. He knew that boosting the attack and accuracy would be a good factor now. And now with the increased attack in addition to muscle band, he would have a better shot. And hopefully with the higher accuracy, maybe he would even find a critical spot and take advantage. Blitz hoped for the best as he saw Daedalus sharpen his wings before he flew right at the Entei substitute in hopes of slashing right through it and doing damage to the figure. >What happened bro? He did not want to constantly be hiding behind the substitute, but it was an effective move. The trainer spotted the bird type hone its claws and realized a mistake he had made. He couldn't allow them the chance to keep buffing the pokemon up. " Reflect!" he called again, knowing that the other pokemon can easily blow it away. For this turn, though, it would help protect the substitute, and if it had to drag on, the pressure Hell was putting on the rufflet would hopefully stop it eventually. The fake pokemon stared the rufflet down as the wing attack came at him, slashing through him cleanly without too much resistance. The shape flickered in and out of existence before forming back into existence, much fainter than before. Blaze was relieved that the strategy had worked. Now, he just had to hope that the rest of his attacks were spot on. " Stomp!" Somehow, being a substitute, the attack looked even more impressive. The entei seemed much lighter and leaped into the air effortlessly, launching himself closer to the flying type and hoping to stomp it into the ground. A flinch would be ideal, but Blaze was not counting on it. HELL | 33.5 | M wing attackreflect ! stomp ! { SUBSTITUTE } { REFLECT }

Now Blitz found himself in a pickle of a situation with the reflective shield set up once more. He had a choice between knocking it out or boosting his attack to make it irrelevant. Both options were good, although he chose to go with the second immediately after he saw the light feet of the Entei stomp on Daedalus and cause him to fall into the red range for health. "Damn. Daedalus, you got one turn left?!" He asked and his Rufflet quickly gave him a thumbs up before he continued to fly around. His body was aching badly though, and he knew that unless they changed things up a bit, this last move might be his last... So he had to make it count, now or never! "Alright. Hone Claws again. Strengthen your accuracy. Then Slash it!" He said and Daedalus quickly flew right at the substitute once more after he had strengthened his claws and hoped to destroy the clone while he was at it. The only problem was, the reflect would now absorb half the attack, making it much harder to break. This made Blitz second guess his choice again... Was it really smart to upgrade his attack? Or would it have been more effective if he destroyed the shield? Well he'd have to find out after. ::Rufflet:: (+1 attack, accuracy) * name: Daedalus | * Level: 32 | * Gender: Male * Item: Muscle Band (10% physical) * Ability 1: Keen Eye * Ability 2: Sheer Force (Moves with secondary effect +33% but lose effect) * Attack Set 1: Aerial Ace, Slash, Wing Attack, Fly * Attack Set 2: Defog, Leer, Hone Claws, Scary Face Hit by Stomp, health is red Used Hone Claws and Slash Blitz Diark |

Blaze was counting on this next attack to faint the rufflet, because the hone claws were definitely going to play against him if he didn't stop it soon. " Bite!" Now that there was the only one Entei the field, Hell didn't try to hide anymore and surged forward, the smoke rolling off his back as he tried to make his way over to the rufflet and sink his teeth into the feathered body. As he saw the Entei come in for a bite attack he quickly pointed to the sky and Daedalus understood perfectly. He immediately evaded the Entei and flew all the way up, practically out of reach as he waited for his perfect and most opportune moment to strike the legendary beast and hopefully do some more damage to it. Hopefully after this attack, it would be with less than half health left, and Daedalus could work a bit more on defeating the Pokémon once and for all. As Blitz saw his Rufflet take the air at the last possible second, avoiding the incoming attack, he quickly crossed his arms and watched the battle unfold with a large smile on his face. "Impressive right?!" He asked Blaze after he looked up and found that his little bird had disappeared into the clear skies. That would buy him at least one turn, maybe even two. He had taken a slash attack and then the substitute had taken the rest of the damage. Now that the rufflet was in the air, he would have to defend himself well. " Substitute," he called out, figuring that if he couldn't attack, he might as well defend and hope to cut his losses. " I'm more impressed that your bird can even fly, with that head of his," Blaze commented as once again a ghost-like figure of his pokemon was created. He wouldn't admit that Blitz was actually pretty strong, with pokemon that were quite impressive. If Blaze didn't feel completely creeped out with the pokemorph, he supposed he would have respected the man's ability. HELL | 33.5 | M [ low yellow ] substitute ! { REFLECT 3/5 } { SUBSTITUTE }
