"Hm..." Roran said as his smile grew. He seemed to smile so much more lately. Pokemon obviously could do that to him. That's why this journey was so great for him. He bent down and picked up the pokeball. "This is the last one before I have to start sending some of you to the PC." It was true. This was his sixth pokemon. He knew he'd get his seventh one soon. He just loved expanding his team. All the possibilities were endless. Currently he was a bit interested in breeding. It seemed fun plus you could raise all sorts of pokemon. But battling didn't seem too bad either.
"Which one of you would I kept in the PC?" Roran said as he began to walk on, looking at Pichu and Taillow's pokeballs intently. Those weren't necessarily the ones he would put in the PC, those were simply the two that he had out currently. "Perhaps Duskun? He doesn't seem to like me all too much. But how our we going to create a bond if he is in the PC? So he's staying. Pichu simply has to stay. This Taillow would be at a disadvantage in our first gym. So perhaps him. It all depends really..." He did have a bit of a habit of talking to himself but he simply could not decide.

In the midst of all this decision making, the Trainer nearly tripped over what appeared to be just another rock in the road, but it rolled out of the way just in time to miss the shoe that would have booted him. "Geo..geo dude!" Called the angry pokemon, telling him to watch where he stepped. Something was different about this certain Geodude though, it wasa golden color rather than rocky grey. You have encountered a Shiny Geodude. What will you do?

"Eh?" Roran stated as he stumbled backwards, a bit shocked that he really hadn't seen the Pokémon. His eyes were fixed upon the golden pokemon, a bit confused. Was this Pokémon supposed to be golden in color or was this one simply unique? Either way, Roran was getting a bit excited to catch it if possible. He had a big team so he had a pretty good chance of winning, but what if this Pokémon was really strong? Well then he'd just have to use up a potion. He wasn't close enough to the next town to make it. "Let's see how you do against ghost..." If the geodude was at a low level, it'd know mostly normal attacks, one's that wouldn't work on Duskun and Shukun. "C'mon out, Duskun," he said with a smile. Perhaps a battle would help their bond grow.
With a red flash from the pokeball, Duskun emerged. The ghost floated in the air for a moment before realise what was going on. "Duskun..." Duskun moaned. It was cold out here. Duskun looked over to the golden geodude and couldn't part its gaze from it. The golden color, it was so....shiny.
"Duskun, use Night Shade," Roran called out. He didn't really expect for Duskun to really listen, and apparently he was right. Duskun merely floated there with a blank expression on his face. Roran frowned and began to take off his backpack to get out Shukun's pokeball. His strap, however was caught on his belt, so as he pulled at the backpack, he pulled himself. He wasn't really expecting it, causing him to fall to the ground, flinging up a bit of snow and dirt into the air.
Duskun was unfortunately in the way of the snow and dirt. He let out a growl as he glared around. His glare was fixed on the geodude, assuming that the golden geodude was the cause of it. He let out a nightshade, trying to get back at it. "DUSKUN!" Duskun shouted angrily as the dark purple beam shot towards the Pokémon.

ooc|| Moki, only administrators are supposed to make shiny Pokemon appear. o.o It's to maintain rarity. bic|| The Geodude, swiftly as it had come, however, rolled out of the road, tucking its bulky arms alongside its glittering golden body. Gone, but mayhaps it would return later on -- in the creature's stead something else made its egress. A small swine, bearing slender streaks of mocha-brown on a body that was a paler variation of the same hue, forged its path from a thick snowbank. Its delicate, rosy nose quivered, form gliding along the ground as though it harbored no legs at all... I'm not entirely certain it does. 'Twas, indeed, a young Swinub. It meandered its way idly across the frosty earth, snowflakes settling upon its furred back without a grunt of protest. [ A Swinub, lv. 6, was detected. ]

Duskun gave a proud grunt of having 'defeated' the geodude. "Aww.." Roran moaned as he watched the pokemon roll off. It would've been really awesome to have caught a rare pokemon. He probably would've given it to Rea. She would've loved something like that. Naturally, thinking about Rea, didn't really leave Roran so aware of his surroundings. The swinub went clearly unnoticed.
Duskun on the other hand noticed it instantly. Perhaps this was the true culprit? "DUSKUN!" Duskun shouted angrily, now launching night shade towards the new pokemon. The purple beam caught Roran's eyes causing him to finally notice the pokemon. "Good job!" Roran encouraged. He was desperate to create a good bond with Duskun.

The tendril of glittering lavender light struck the preoccupied, vigorously snuffling Swinub unaware. It tumbled... or rolled, rather... clumsily backward. If it had discernable eyes, one could assume they'd be round and wide.
The swine was on its back, minute feet wiggling wildly in an attempt to turn back and adequately prepare itself for attack. It was thus incapable, though, and quite dazed, leaving the Swinub utterly exposed for further damage.
ooc|| Short. Icky. Neh.

"Great! Use night shade again while it can't move. Do it gently though," Roran commanded. Duskun didn't listen to Roran. It let out another Night Shade with all of his strength. It wanted revenge badly. "Duskun!" Roran shouted as he returned it quickly, the night shade disappearing before hitting the swinub. He didn't want the swinub to get injured or anything, that just didn't seem right. Roran quickly searched through his bag for Shukun, giving time to the swinub to recover.
A red burst of light released Shukun. "Use screech and prepare yourself for an attack!" Roran shouted. Shukun, only just getting out of the ball was instantly shocked and only heard the second part of Roran's command. Shukun turned towards his opponent and got ready for whatever was going to come at him.

The swinub was hit directly by Duskun's shade attack. It seemed to be unconscious as it laid there on its back. However, it was soon moving again. It tired to roll its self onto its legs. It wasn't working. It began to gain momentum though so in no time it was able to get on its stubby legs. It looked at the trainer a little. There was a ghost pokemon there to. It, knowing not that a ghost pokemon couldn't be hit by a normal attack, launched forward into a run and then jumped into the air, its tackle attack ready to hit.

OoC// Isn't tackle normal no matter how you put it...
BiC// Shukun merely blinked and floated out of the way. Technically he didn't even have to move, the attack would have done no damage anyhow. Shukun's grin grew. This battle would be easy. He floated up to the tree and knocked into a branch, causing some snow to fall below. He missed the first time and hit Roran instead so he began to hit all of the branches, causing multiple cascades of white snow.
"Okay, now...." Roran grumbled brushing the snow off himself. "Use Night Shade!" Shukun nodded and let out a purple beam. It was a good thing to keep attacking like this while they had the obvious upper hand.

((yeah xD i never said it was any different I just wanted to see the cute ball of fur hit nothing but air xD))
The brown ball of fur. Seemed a little put off that its tackle didn't hit. It was kinda dumb, one could tell. It looked up just in time to get hit by falling snow that the Ghost type had caused to fall on it. That left it wide open for the nightshade attack to hit it directly. Which it did. It was once again on its back trying to move. After a few tries it just gave up and had swirls in its eyes as it laid there. That was a pathetic battle. If only the thing knew more moves.
[All participating pokemon gain 1 level, You may also try and catch Swinub]

OoC//Hm, does Duksun count as participating? Probably not, huh?
BiC//
Roran looked to the completely defenseless pokemon. "Return..." Roran said as the Shukun disappeared completely with a red beam of light into his own pokeball. "Eat this..." Roran said, bending down and flipping the Swinub back over. In his hand were a few little snacks. This would probably give the pokemon some energy. He truly did feel sorry for this pokemon. Why would it really just give up like that? A pokemon should never give up no matter what. But perhaps that was what a master was for, to encourage the pokemon on till no end.
Suddenly a red beam shot out of Roran's backpack as his Vixup, Koda and Munch, his Bidoof, emerged with a joyful smile. Vixup was smiling because he was extremely happy to see a new face while Munch had merely sensed the presence food. "Roran took out an empty pokeball. Perhaps he'd try and catch this pokemon anyways and he could even be that master to edge him on. "You'll never give up with me," Roran said as he tossed the pokeball, lightly hitting the swinub on the head.
"VIXUP VI!" Koda shouted happily, bouncing around Roran. He was so eager to have a new teamate. Munch however was sneaking a few snacks from Roran's backpack.

ooc|| I'd say he'd count. ;3 He did something, after all~ bic|| The Swinub sniffled about, nose instantly setting upon the snacks. A small mouth gingerly took and devoured each one, chewing vigorous and unprofound as it pensively pondered the peculiar, alien taste. The Ice-type swine was unaccustomed to any edibility other than the occasional berry; truly a confection akin to this lovely was a remarkable treat, particularly in such a certifiably unforgivingly climate! A moist nose nuzzled into Roran's now empty hand, palm still smelling faintly of the snacks. Though it wasn't something it could eat, per se, the Swinub was still happy to tickle the trainer with vigorous snufflings and inhale the delicious aroma. "Swinub, Swine~" it crooned, ceasing at once to gaze uncertainly at the plethora of other Pokemon. It was then, during its distraction, that the PokeBall struck it, and the Swinub was entrapped within without a tremble of physical complaint. [ A Swinub was obtained. ] Level: 4 Name: [ you choose ] Gender: [ you choose ] Nature: The Swinub, though adorable and overaffectionate of its trainer, is overly quick to cave and give up.

"Great!" Roran cheered happily. He picked up the ball and imediately let the Swinub out. "Resa..." Roran named it with a broad smile. The Vixup imediately tackled it playfully before the red light even managed to disappear. This little playfulness inspired Roran. After they walked through the woods for a good amount of time filled with a few 'mishaps' involving snow and Roran's pants, Roran cheered, "We've walked a ways...Let's take a break!" He threw up all of the pokeballs and released the whole team.
"Pichuuu!" Pichu cheered happily, greatful to be out of the pokeball. He was still tired from the battle, but not near tired enough to not be able to have fun. Pichu felt the snow on the ground and shivered. It was so wet and cold... "Bu!" Buizi said launching a ball of snow straight at Pichu. The sheer force was enough to knock Pichu clear off his feet. Leave it up to Buizi to cause some trouble.
"Snow wars, huh?" Roran said with a grin. It wasn't all too fair seeing as he was so big and easy to hit, but he wouldn't mind playing with them. "So how about...Pichu, Buizi, and Koda on a team. Duskull, Munch, Resa, and me on the other?" Naturally it was seem like an advantage to have more players but Duskull probably wouldn't play anyways. Roran bent down to make a snowball and was hit clearly in the head. He stood back up and got instantly shocked. Already the Pichu, Buizi, Koda team had a fort and was launching snowballs at the other team.
"Crap..." Roran said as he tried to help Munch build the fort. Resa seemed to have completely disappeared while Duskull was watching with a grin. "Resa!" Roran called. "We need you!" Almost as if answering his call, Resa appeared but not near their team. She appeared right inside the opposing teams' fort, causing it to completely collapse. She ran over to Roran and snuggled against him, proud of her efforts. "GREAT!" Roran cheered. Now they had the upper hand. While the Pichu team was still recovering from the collapse of their fort, a cascade of snow fell down upon them. Upon closer investigation, it was easy to see that Duskun had caused it by merely bumping into a branch on a tree. It was obviously intentional by the large grin on his skull face. Roran's smile grew. Finally it seemed as if Duskull was begining to get closer to them. "ACK!" Roran screamed feeling a rush of cold to the side of his head.
"Pichu!" Pichu squealed sticking out a tongue.

As the snow ball war waged on from behind a tree a small brown bunny like pokemon watched. It was mostly hidden by the tree, its head being almost all that could be seen. It had blotches of fur that went around its body. "Buneary~" it said staring at the Pichu.

"Pi?" Pichu said stopping his part in the war for a moment. He could have sworn that he heard something. He looked around madly, his eyes searching for the source of the noise. He scampered off a ways from the war and looked around. There it was! "PICHUU!" Pichu squealed happily finally seeing the other pokemon. It looked like a bunny. Pichu ran over quickly and smiled. The cotton at the end of the buneary's ear caught Pichu's attention quickly. Pichu poked it and grinned even wider. It was so soft and squishy, something that could easily entertain a little Pichu for hours.
"Pichu-pi!" Pichu shouted loudly, having been struck by a brilliant idea. "Pichu-pi-pi-chu?" (Would you like to play with us?) Pichu ran aways a bit and made a small little snowball. "Pi!" Pichu said holding up the snowball. "Pi-Pichu!" Pichu tossed the snowball at the buneary. He was merely describing the game incase the bunny-like pokemon didn't know how to play. Pichu took another snowball and smashed it against his tummy. With a dramatic gasp, he dramatically fell to the ground. Now he was merely explaining the whole idea of getting hit. But naturally the Pichu had to add some drama to it. It made it the game all the more fun, didn't it?

The lapine of chocolate and beige struck a pose of unstrained regality, unfathomable, its round eyes of silken jet sparkling with unsuppressed adorability. It wagged a tail with the consistency of flimsy cotton, a faint smile expanding across its visage ( which, if I may digress, was sweet as a button ). It gingerly took a shapeless mound of snow and molded it with dainty paws, soon forming a hard-packed sphere of undeniable perfection.
Then came launch and impact.
The Buneary held back its paw and chunked the snowball at the Pichu with remarkable force. If snowballs weren't, bluntly, snowballs, it would have probably been liable to catch fire. It was quite literally a pale blur, speeding past in a beeline to the yellow rat's face. One would assume Bunearies and their ilk had the nature of fine sugar. This one prominently didn't.

"Chu?" (Eh?) Pichu barely had a moment to think as the snowball came rushing towards him. He merely stood there, staring quite blankly. It was obvious that by just standing there, he was bound to get hit right in the face. He just shut his eyes and waited for the inevitable. He opened them once more to see Buizi's tail right infront of him. The tail swung like a bat just at the right moment causing the snowball to shatter into glittering pieces of snow. It was very powdery and light so it floated about them for a few extra moments. Moments in which Pichu stared on with joy. It was truely quite beautiful.
"VIXUP!" Koda shouted with joy as he ran over. He grinned and then faced the buneary. Had this bunny and Buizi just created a new game? Perhaps someone could throw it and they could hit it. "Vixup Vix-Vi? Vi vixup!" (Will you do that again? I want to try!) Vixup danced happily as he merely thought about getting to try to join in on this new game.

The Chocolate Bunny looked on as the snowball it had thrown at the Pichu Was destroyed by the tail of a Buizel. Its eyes grew big for a few moments before they returned to the normal size. It then registered what the Pokemon said. "Buneary!" <"Sure!"> it said bending down to pick up a small mound of snow. Once again the snowball was a ball of perfect roundness, ready to be thrown. With the same force as last time the Chocolate Bunny threw the Perfect Snowball at the Pichu and Buizel.

Koda jumped infront of the ball of snow and got ready. He really wanted to hit it just like Buizi. "VIXUP!" Vixup squealed as he swung his tail. His tail, being all fluffy unlike Buizi's tail, took the impact and moved with it. The snowball exploded, but inside his fluffy tail. Koda felt the coldness and screamed. He ran around in circles trying to run away from the coldness that was soaking into his fur and spreading out on his tail. Naturally the little klutz fell. He tripped and fell right into the tree, pain going throughout his head. "VI!!!" (Ow!!!) the Vixup cried out. Tears began to stream down Koda's face as he cried his little eyes out. Pichu and Buizi began to laugh. It was actually a funny sight to see. A little fox running around insanely only to crash into a tree? Koda glared at them through his tears. It was so mean in his opinion. He thought that they were merely making fun of him for crying. He ran over to Roran and cuddled against him, still crying. He stuck his face into Roran's jeans trying to hide his face and hide his tears.
"Poor little thing..." Roran said bending over. Koda acted like a little baby most of the time. He cried quite easily. Roran picked up Koda and smiled. There was one way that Roran knew of how to stop a little toddler from crying. Put their attention on something else besides the pain. "We're going to get to the next town soon. There is going to be a gym. You're going to be one of the ones to fight. Doesn't that sound fun? You can show Buizi and Pichu how strong you are!" Koda looked up and managed out a smile. He liked the sound of that. He was simply imagining in his head, him beating the last pokemon with Buizi and Pichu fainted on the bench. He'd be the hero then.
"VIXUP!" (OKAY!) Koda said with a large grin. He jumped down, out of Roran's arms and ran over to the Buneary. "Vi vixup xup vi-vixup!" (I challenge you to a battle!) Koda shouted out to the buneary. He wanted to test his battling skills now. That way he could be ready for the gym. And of course be ready to prove how brave and strong he was to Pichu and Buizi.
