<Buneary!> The bunny pokemon cried, getting kindled by the small Ember Attack. <I don't wanna give up!> She shouted, before fainting gracefully upon the ground. The poor Buneary couldn't take anymore, even if she wanted too.
Vixup and Kenji both gains one level each!

"YES!" Roran and pichu shouted in unison. This would really be a great addition if they could catch it. It seemed really strong. Roran tossed the empty pokeball in his hand at the buneary and merely hoped for the best. Pichu couldn't help but smile. He and this buneary were already great friends, how could it refuse to travel with them. That's when he frowned. What if it did? What if this buneary truly didn't care about him. Pichu felt a bit hurt for a moment and nearly cried. But then he realised the buneary hadn't been caught yet, he'd have to wait for the pokeball to do it's job.
Kenji gave yet another satified growl. He knew he'd win. He stuck up his nose a bit and walked back over to Roran and laid down, the snow melting around him with the heat he naturally generated. He still couldn't help but feel unaccomplished. Afterall Koda had done most of the work, hadn't he? Well that wasn't the problem now, he had won a battle and was gettin stronger every battle. Soon he'd be unbeatable. Well, that how it was in the growlithe's way of thinking.

"GREAT!" Roran shouted as he quickly ran over to get the ball. This would be a great addition. He put the ball into his backpack and looked back to the team. "Return..." He mumbled as he held out a couple pokeballs. It wasn't long before everyone except for Kenji was out. Kenji seemed like a pretty powerful pokemon, so Roran was eager to get a few more levels on him. But perhaps he would use another pokemon first and then switch them out so they could both gets some experience.
Kenji looked up to Roran with a tilted head. He didn't really understand why he was the only one out but merely assumed that it was because he was the most loved. He was getting a little more used to the snow seeing as it melted wherever he walked. He wasn't getting cold either which was another good thing. He trotted along next to Roran as he walked. Roran looked around rapidly through the trees, bushes, and snow. He was determined to catch a new pokemon. "Kenji, keep looking for more pokemon," Roran said softly. He finally firgured out what he really wanted to do in this region besides breed growlithes. He wanted to catch all of the pokemon possible. It would be a long quest and there was a very large chance of him not fufilling his dream, but he didn't care. He would try. So on his quest to become a champion, he had two dreams to accomplish, breed growlithes and complete his pokedex.

Soon a frivolous looking honey-mustard duck pokemon wobbled along the path of Roran and Kenji. The duck pokemon was trying its best not to slip down on the moist and cold ground, but unfortunately it soon slided and starting sliding right at Roran and Kenji! LOOK OUT!

Kenji could've noticed the yellow duck standing out boldly upon the snow from a mile away. Kenji merely stepped aside out of the way cooly. He didn't really feel like yelling out a warning to Roran. He'd find out soon enough anyways. The growlithe sat down in the snow and merely watched as Roran realised the pokemon hurling towards him. If Roran had stood still, the duck would have merely bumped into his leg, doing nothing to the boy. But Roran wasn't that smart yet. He lifted his foot to take a step back just as the pokemon hit his other leg. This caused him to lose balance as he fell backwards into the snow.
Snow and slush quickly rushed up the back of his coat, giving him a bit of a chill. It also happened to melt against his body heat, causing his coat and shirt to become wet. He jumped up imediately and pulled off his jacket and shirt in a stupid reaction. Roran soon felt the cold air and began to regret his choice. Luckily he felt some heat against his bare skin as Kenji used a low ember to warm him up, and even to dry his clothing. All of this happened quite quickly so even with this distraction, Kenji kept a sharp eye on the psyduck. He knew that Roran would want to catch it, so he had to make sure that there was the chance for him to.
"Alright Kenji, start out with ember!" Roran commanded as he pulled his shirt back on over his head. It took him a moment but when his head popped through the hole, he expected to see Kenji attacking the psyduck. Instead Kenji was merely sitting their with a disappointed expression. The growlithe walked over to Roran and stuck his head inside his bag. He came out with Pichu's pokeball and dropped it at Roran's feet. Pichu needed to level up more than Kenji did plus Pichu would have an advantage here whereas Kenji would be at a disadvantage.
"Oh..." Roran mumbled. His face was flushed over out of embarrassment. How could he have missed that? He gave a smile. He was lucky to have Kenji here to help him. Heck, he was lucky to have all of them here to help him. Roran let out Pichu quickly. Not wanting the psyduck to get away, he commanded a thundershock before Pichu came completely out. Pichu heard enough of it to get the gist of it. He let out a shock that headed right towards the water pokemon.

As the Roran and Kenji were distracted only moments ago, the Psyduck slowly sneaked away, hoping to get away unnoticed, that was what it was hoping for. The duck pokemon jumped out of the way, landing on the snowy ground face forward. Half-hidden in the snow, the Psyduck made a hell lot of noise, particularly because it couldn't get out of the snow.

"Pichu, now while it's open, hit it with Thundershock!" Roran commanded. Pichu nodded in agreement and ran over to the psyduck. He inspected the pokemon and realised that it was stuck. Pichu tilted his little head and slowly began to pull the psyduck out. He was a strange pokemon and always wanted to win fairly than simply get lucky. As soon as Pichu grabbed the ducks' hand and pulled him out, he gripped onto the hand as tight as he could and let out a thundershock. Perhaps this would be a quick way to end the battle. Get a good hit in first and then be able to relax a bit more for the rest of it.

Although the Psyduck was quite relieved to get out of that snow, the Thundershock afterwards wasn't something to whoot about. The Psyduck wobbled to and fro, not knowing what to do. Instead, the pokemon crashed towards the Pichu.

Pichu merely giggled. Wow, this really wasn't a fair fight even if he tried. He skipped around the fallen pokemon and taunted it a bit. Perhaps he could 'encourage' it to fight harder. "P'chu." (C'mon) Pichu said poking the duck-like pokemon. "Pichu-Pi!"(Fight me!) Pichu let out yet another small thundershock and slowly began to realise something. His energy was still quite drained from his first battle and he was wasting a lot right now. He looked to Roran as if to say to get a pokeball ready. Pichu needed to end this fast so he could get food and take a nap in order to restore his energy.

(( Hell, I make it look as though a Psyduck sucks >.< ))
<"If you say so."> the Psyduck replied. Dodging the next thundershock that came with a simple jump away. Deciding not to fool around anymore was much easier thought than done, although now it did have a better footing. The Psyduck smiled sheepishly, admiring that the Pichu wanted a fair fight. <"At least if I do lose then it'll be fair."> mumbled the Duck pokemon, lunging for an attack.
Running as fast as it could with webbed feet, the Psyduck tried to get some momentum flowing before attacking. Getting ready, the Psyduck slashed it's claws at the Pichu as quickly as it could.

Pichu jumped back for the first slash that came his way, but he sort of lost his footing and tumbled backwards so that his feet actually got the worst of the slashes. Pichu winced as he tried to stand himself up. The snow was rushing into the cuts on his feet and they were being to sting. Pichu walked forwards a step just to realise that he really couldn't walk very far without falling over in pain. Pichu gave a sigh as he noted that he'd just have to not move around much in this battle. He could manage that. Thundershock didn't require you to move much. This time he let out four small thundershocks. He had to make them small or else they'd waste up too much energy. One was aimed directly at the duck, two on either side and one above. This was so that he would have a tough time dodging unless he knew dig. He'd have to take one of the small shocks. It's a water pokemon so even a small shock will do some ammount of damage. Pichu thought to himself. He stood where he was, bracing himself for whatever return fire he would get.

Suddenly, the Psyduck wailed in pain and shut it's eyes. It began to clutch at it's head and shake violently. It seemed to be in immense pain, for it did not try to even dodge the thundershocks, which hit it full force, knocking it to the floor. It began to writhe inn agony, static shivering around it's mustard body. Then, all of a sudden, Psyduck began to glow pale blue. It ceased wailing and sat up slowly. The blue aura began to grow in intensity, and the dirt and scratches on Psyduck's body seemed to fade away, the turqoise power flushing the pain from its system. It's eyes suddenly snapped open, revealling glowing blue pupiless eyes. It stood up and threw open it's arms, loosing and agressive psychic wave towards the Pichu.

"Pichuuuu...." Pichu groaned as he fell backwards from the wave. He merely lay in the snow as he began to think. He truly was out of energy, wasn't he? His feet weren't helping him at all. He was imobilized and this psyduck now had some strange power that was going to overpower Pichu. Where had he gotten this power? Pichu thought about it before coming to some sort of conclusion. He had heard about dumb psyducks, that when in enough pain could let loose their psychic powers. That had to be it. Pichu smiled as he realised this. That psyduck had used the pain to his advantage. Pichu admired it in a way. He was sitting here in pain and he couldn't move. The psyduck had done what Pichu couldn't. Pichu sat up and watched the duck for a moment. He had to be just like that. If he could do that, he'd win.
All of this thinking gave him a bit more energy. He knew he could do it just like the psyduck. He could use his anger and pain to his advantage. Pichu stood up and winced for a moment. He had to embrace the pain and turn it into rage in which he could release at the duck. Pichu snarled lightly as he ran towards the duck. Each step added to his rage. When he was close enough he let loose a thundershock, wanting nothing more than to end this now. To escape the pain as quick as possible.

The Psyduck scrambled around with pain. Not only from the series of electric attacks but also from the headache it was suffering from right now. It fell on it's back and closed it's eyes, dazed and confused. Then, just like that, the Psyduck fainted, arms and legs going limp.

"Good, job Pichu." Roran said quickly running over and picking the exhausted pichu up. He wasn't going to return Pichu just yet. He'd have to bandage those feet first. "Kenji, go get a spare pokeball and some bandages," Roran asked as he inspected Pichu's feet. Kenji complied quickly, bringing an empty pokeball in his mouth and the bandages around his neck. "Thanks," Roran said with a smile as he tossed the pokeball at the psyduck. As soon as the ball left his hand he turned back to the Pichu. He wrapped up the Pichu's feet nicely as then turned back to the pokeball. Would this duck be another addition to their ever growing team?

Roran walked over and picked up the pokeball. He put it away as he turned to Pichu. The poor little pokemon still looked as if he was in pain, even with the bandages. Roran picked up Pichu and placed him in the hood of his hoodie. Pichu snuggled in their with a smile. If that was how he was going to be carried until he was healed than it didn't seem so bad at all. "Great job. Both of you," Roran said as he held his head up a little higher, showing that he was truly proud of them. Kenji cocked his head a little in confusion. What had he done? Roran noticed this and replied, "You help me in the begining and in the end."
Kenji nodded lightly. The threesome continued through the route until Kenji noticed something. The had passed that tree more than once before. <Roran...> Kenji said looking at the trees once more. He sighed. There was no doubt that they had been here before. <Are we lost?> Roran's lips curled into a smile as he glanced down at the growlithe.
"No," Roran simply said. Kenji's expression twisted into a strange look of complete atonishment. Roran knew where he was yet they were going in circles? Why was that? Kenji suddenly realised why and couldn't help but smile back. The route wasn't long enough for all the pokemon to gain the necessary ammount of levels in order to beat the first gym so by simply wandering around, Roran was making the route longer. Kenji smiled to himself once more as he realise how smart his trainer really was. Well...smart in a weird way.

A Pidgey from above started laughing. <"This has got to be your third time around here."> said the Pokemon, pecking at it's wings to get the dust off. The Pidgey had been at this same spot the whole morning, it had noticed that Roran and his pokemon had circled around here before, and found this funny. <"You humans are so alike, you come here and beat the crap out of innocent pokemon then go on your merry way.">

<What did you say?> Kenji snarled having spotted the bird. Kenji's loyalty knew no limits so he couldn't understand why some wild pokemon hated trainers. Kenji smiled to himself and simply thought, If that idiot had a trainer, it might be able to understand just why us pokemon are so loyal. Kenji held up his head a little bit as if he was almost superior just because he had a trainer. He turned to Roran for a moment and gave him a look that said 'Let's beat the crap out of this idiot...'
Roran nodded and took off his backpack carefully to not disturb the resting Pichu. It was obvious that he couldn't use Pichu. But an electric type would have a great advantage. He found Patch's pokeball and smiled. Even if the pokemon didn't know any electric type moves yet, the little squirrel could climb things easily so a flying type wouldn't get that much of an advantage against a ground-walker. "Alright Patch," Roran started. "Use quick attack!" Patch nodded and took off up the side of the tree suddenly. In a mere moment, Patch was on the same branch and dashing at it at a quick speed. When it was close enough it pushed itself forwards, off the branch. He was trying to give himself some if he hit.
