Skye's mouth hung open. "Rock, aper, scissors?" She looked around, as if it were a joke and laughed. "You have to be kidding," But the girl held out her hand to play the game. Skye just starred at it for a moment, then shook her head and held out her fist, this was no way to determine the fate of a pokemon, if she lost, she'd come up with some other way to save the Lotad.
When playing this game, Skye always did Scissors, always, no matter what, so when she put down scissors and Anne put down paper, Skye couldn't help but smile. "Scissors beats Paper," She looked up. "I win, Lotad goes free." Her eyes were hard, she was going to set this pokemon free if it killed her.

The young girl scowled, the older girl had cheated. She knew it! Anne was about to open her mouth in protest, when she noticed the death-threat buried within her eyes. She hastily swallowed her complaint and let out a scoff, determined to hold up her tough girl charade. "Fine. You can have the dumb pokemon. I never wanted it anyways." she said, lying through her teeth.
Casting a longing glance at the Lotad, the girl grabbed her items and prepared to head down the route. "Oh! And I'm not going to stop setting traps! she added, giggling as she sprinted down the route. An item fell out of her bag and laid there in a small puddle, the girl was too far gone to catch her.
Go examine the item?
Meanwhile, the Lotad who had been holding his breath the entire battle let it out softly. He smiled happily, and hobbled over to Skye and hugged her leg. <Thank you!> he cried, refucing to budge from her leg. He was not going to leave this wonderful trainer who had saved him. He didn't want to stay here if that trainer was going to still be lurking around.

Skye smiled. "Yeah, right." She rolled her eyes. "Don't stop, that way I can beat you at battles." She watched the item fall out and started to walk towards it when the Lotad clung to her leg. "Hey!" She tried to shake him off, but he wouldn't let go. "Whatever." She dragged her leg over to the item and looked down at it. "Could you let go for a moment, just a moment, that's all I ask." She pleaded. "Then you can cling to my leg again, just for a moment please." It was really hard to kneel down with a pokemon stuck to your leg. "Corphish, a little help." She looked over to her friend and made a pleading face. She sighed and waited for either the Corphish to help, or the Lotad to let go before she took a good look at the item.

The Lotad let out a pitiful whine, not wanting to let go of his savior. He hadn't even gotten a chance to thank her. His small eyes became downcast as Skye jiggled for him to get off, and proceeded to ask him to move. He loosened his grip slightly, but refused to let go of her leg completely. However, once she threatened to have him forcefully removed he slid off ungracefully lying limply on the ground.
On closer examination you could see it was a Hyper Potion lying there in the puddle! THat girl must've been pretty well off to be caring those around.

Skye sighed and picked up the Potion. "Oh..." She gave a confused look but tucked it away in her backpack. Skye stood up and nodded to the Lotad. "Ok, if you want to hold on again, go ahead and climb back on." She rooled her eyes and waited half a second before starting to walk again, Skye needed to finish, but she wasn't even to the bridge yet! She let out a frustrated sigh as she drew closer to teh bridge, it was in sight now, not far way, but still far enough away to bother her.
Skye looked back at Corphish, then at the bridge. She stepped onto it and looked over the edge into the blue water. "So close," She looked down at the Corphish. "So close." She smiled and peered farther over the edge.

The Lotad let out a whining squeak, as the water began to ripple. The Lilly pad Pokémon unattached himself from Skye's leg and instead began tugging it frantically away from the water, being so small though. It accomplished nothing, except maybe attracting the trainer's attention. She shook her head worriedly, before becoming moss and clinging to he shoe. The water was rippling, each one getting larger by the second. It was a clear sign of danger as a dark shape in the water was coming towards the surface, faster every moment. Finally with a snapping of fangs and a fierce look a scaly creature lept out of the water. It used Scary Face to frighten the trainer and her Pokémon. It worked. The Lotad got so scared it actually fainted. It would recover quickly though.

Skye watched the Lotad for a moment before realizing what was happening. "Oh!" A hand flew to her mouth and she tried ot grab ahold of the Lotad, who somehow got into the water without her seeing. She pulled the Lotad out just in time to see a large scary fish pokemon jump in the water. She let out a small scream, but she soon stopped as she realized what was really going on. The pokemon was attacking with Scary Face, and sure enough, it worked and scared the Lotad. "Oh brother, get up." She muttered to the Lotad. Skye glared back at the pokemon, ot caring that if it really wanted, it could hurt her.

The Carvanha flinched at the glare, slinking back into the waters with a more submissive nature than before. But from the depths of the pond, it kept taking longing glances at the Lotad. The precious meat that was around it looked simply divine, a meal fit for both vegetarians and carnivorous Pokémon. Something inside of the Carvanha clicked as it turned around to see an older Carvanha swimming towards it, and a small blush appeared on its face. With the female watching in the distance, he was bolder than ever, and definitely more eager to show off his rage and power.
<Watch out! Here I come!> The Carvanha cried out with a jump out of the water, right over the group as his tail flung itself around like a whip. Coming even closer to attacking the human girl in order to get his precious meat, but was stopped by a sudden Bubble attack in the face. Though it wasn’t painful, it slowed him down long enough to cause him another retreat back into the water. He wasn’t done yet, but he was a little surprised by the sudden attack. Turning to glance at his attacker, he was more than surprised to see a Corphish standing proudly right next to Skye and the stunned Lotad.
<BOO-YAH!> The Corphish grinned, starting to shake his rear end in the Carvanha’s direction in a teasing manner. It already knew that they were in trouble anyway, but at least it gave Skye enough time to send out a Pokémon of her own.

Skye really didn't want to battle right now, but whatever. She muttered something about attacking for no reason and started ot dig for a pokeball. Though she was a little surprised to see Corphish attacking the Carvanha. Skye pulled out a pokeball and dropped it, when faced with a battle, hit it head on! it was difficult to attack in the water, but not impossible.
"Ok, Jay." She told a Shinx. "Do your stuff, Leer and Charge, get ready for the next attack." Skye muttered quietly. The little blue lion smiled and shot the fish pokemon a dark glare. He quickly charged his energy for his next move, already knowing what it was going to be, Spark. That was the only thing he could follow up with. While Jay was Charging, Skye looked down at Corphish. "i thought you didn't attack." She raised an eyebrow.

<Well I wasn't attacking, I was defending.> The Corphish said with a silly grin on its face, a little surprised that it actually knew an attacking move in the first place. It was all instinctive, it supposed. Besides, after seeing Skye and all of her Pokémon fight against various wild Pokémon for so long made it feel somehow useless. Perking up at the sights of movement in the corner of its eyes, the Corphish turned around to grin at the Wild Lotad waking up.
<What happened….?> He drawled, struggling to get back onto his feet and chirped a grateful ‘thank you’ at Corphish as it helped him up. The two turned to look at the battling Shinx and Carvahna as a short and simple explanation from earlier.
<Oh geez! That was a Carvahna! You better watch out, because those things are really, really mean!> The Lotad called in a worried panic, taking a couple of steps back in case the shark decided to attack him next.
The Carvahna’s defense was lowered, but nothing else seemed to phase the small fish. Grinning at the glowing stare to counter with a Leer of his own. Nothing would make this shark back down, and he proved this with another vicious splash into the air before diving back down. With his rage peaking to new heights, he was more than ready to attack the Shinx with his Rage attack before Jay could finish that Charge attack.

Jay growled, showing his sharp teeth. His defense was lowered, but that didn't bother him all that much. He backed away from the water a little as the Rage attack was preformed. The Charge wasn't fully finished, but he still went ahead with his Spark attack.
Jay waited till the Carvahna was diving back into the water before jumping with his Spark attack, teach this shark not to attack with no reason. Skye wasn't worried about Jay. "Don't worry, he isn't afraid." She told the two pokemon without moving her eyes from teh battle. "Jay'll take care of himself." Skye looked down at the Lotad and the Corphish, then back at the battle.

Both of the Pokémon watched in wonder at Jay’s display of power, not even backing down despite the fearsome Rage attack. Lotad couldn’t help but be impressed, while Corphish was switching its gaze to Lotad and Skye’s faces before looking at the battle. It just felt like it had to know every detail about what was going on, there wasn’t anything it wanted to forget about this Carvahna.
’I’m not sure which one looks scarier.’ The Corphish thought with a sweat drop, but its hopes were with Jay and Skye, all the way. Leaning against the Lotad’s leaf as a support, the water type couldn’t keep its eyes off of them.
The Carvahna turned around in surprise to see a powerful Spark ramming into its rough scales, forcefully pricking against the Shinx as the two made contact. Though that was the least of the Carvahna’s worries, because he could feel himself grow even more unstable with his power hungry Rage technique.
With water as the perfect conductor of electricity, it had hurt him quite a deal. But he was going to put up a fight by ending this as soon as possible. Attempting to drag the Shinx into the depths of the water, he continued to use his forceful Rage attack, getting stronger and stronger with every attack dealt against him.

Jay knew he was in water, and that made him a little uncomfortable. He started to kicked against the water and swim to the edge of the wter when the Carvahna started to pull him under. He let out a cry of surprise. Skye too was surprised. Her eyes widened. "Jay!" She screamed as he got dragged down under the water. it was difficult to see what was happening, so she really couldn't call out any attacks. She paced across teh ground, her eyes never leaving the water. Skye stopped breathing for a moment as she watched for Jay. "Come on, come on." She whispered, her eyes never blinking incase she missed something.
Jay got really angry when he was under water, it made him nervous, he wasn't ment to be in water, it just wasn't his type. The only thing Jay could do was struggle. Wait! Jay turned towards the shark pokemon and snapped at him with a Bite attack, maybe if he took a chunk out of the pokemon it would let go.

The Carvahna gave a smug look over at the Shinx as soon as he managed to bring him underwater, his rage had settled down quite a bit to allow him to glance over in the direction of the female Carvahna. To his surprise, she had completely ditched the scene! Was he battling that pathetically?
He was stunned long enough to give Jay an opening to bite right into his skin, tiny spike like needles brushing against the Shinx’s mouth until he let Jay free. It was quite the wound to the side, but it really wasn’t all that effective after thinking it over.
’Just wait until I show you a real bite attacl!’ The Carvahna was getting anxious to beat the Shinx to the surface, but by then it would’ve been too late. He wasn’t cruel enough to want the thing to drown, but it would’ve been an easy meal. His tail lashed viciously into empty space to propel him further up, reaching up at Jay for a sharp Bite attack on his rear end, a parting gift of sorts.
