Jay picked until his head broke the surface of the water. He sighed and started to swim back to the shore and a relieved Skye. But he was interrupted when the Shark pokemon got him with a sharp Bite attack. He growled and glared at the Carvahna, "Jay! Oh, Oh... Spark!" Her eyes were full of tears, she was really worried that Jay had become a meal. Giving a glance at the shore and the three standing on it, Jay sighed and let out his Spark attack. This would hurt him too, because he was in the water and very wet, for some strange reason water and electricity didn't go very well together.
"He's alright," Skye let out a long sigh and knelt down by the Corphish, picking it up and hugging it tightly. "Oh, he's not dead!" She cried. Her tough girl layer was broken through as one of her pokemon almost became a meal. "Stupid shark, try and eat my friend." Skye sighed and let go of Corphish.

"He's alright," Skye let out a long sigh and knelt down by the Corphish, picking it up and hugging it tightly. "Oh, he's not dead!" She cried. Her tough girl layer was broken through as one of her Pokémon almost became a meal. "Stupid shark, try and eat my friend." Skye sighed and let go of Corphish.
The Carvahna was more than electrocuted by the attack, his grip on the small Shinx loosened as the tiny sparks rammed right into him. The feeling was almost indescribable, floating back down under water with a dazed expression in his eyes. It was a wonder in itself that he didn’t just go up and attack right away, but from underwater, away from the naked eye sparks remained on his body. One of the biggest signs of paralysis, and it was keeping him pinned under water. Giving Jay the biggest chance he needed to use any attack he wished, or to simply get to safety.
<Agh! Help! I’m being suffocated by strange things!> The young Corphish cried, caught completely off guard by Skye’s sudden burst of emotion. Struggling against her grip until she decided to let it go, just enough time to give it a breather.
<What strange things? You mean her-> The Lotad began, before being smacked in the head by the Corphish, who clearly felt embarrassed about the whole situation. Not that he was old enough to actually understand things beyond its age limit, but it could’ve appeared like that.

I had fun coming up with that last part.

Skye Stood up, unaware of the other two pokemon, and waited for Jay to swim back. "Come on Jay," She called, but Jay didn't want to. +Oh!! Just one more attack.+ He pleaded, looking at the shark in the water. "Ok, fine, Bite." It was an attack he could do and get over with in no time. Jay smiled and ducked underwater to attack the Carvahna with a sharp Bite.
At that point Skye turned to the Corphish and sighed. "I'm sorry, I was so worried for him," She muttered, shaking her head and closing her eyes. Skye cared so much for her pokemon, and Jay was her first so she wanted ot keep him as long as she could.

The Carvanha had no choice but to get struck by the ineffective bite attack, but those fangs of the Shinx were really beginning to bother him. Rough Skin was becoming even worse now, with all of the Physical contact between the two someone was bound to get hurt. His eyes suddenly turning a deep golden hue, a Leer attack was used as part of his plan as a last ditch effort to take the win.
As soon as those teeth were off of him, he was turned into the savage shark that he once was. His Rage was taking over, completely outraged that the Shinx had come down after him when he wanted to do a surprise attack of his own. Now that that plan was ruined, he would just dish it all out for the Shinx for as long as he could, because that Paralysis was going to kick in sometime.
<Ehehe…Its okay, we understand. > The Corphish added, suddenly seeming much brighter than before. Even though they were searching for a bigger and safer pond for him, he was becoming quite comfortable travelling around with his new friends. Say, if it wasn’t for her, then he never would’ve met this Lotad!
<Yes, we know what you mean.> The Lotad agreed, grinning up at Skye despite the harsh battling going on underwater. If she needed any rescue help, the two would be under there in a heartbeat to bring Jay back up to safety.

Skye waited for Jay to come back up, but he never did. Her eyes searched the watr, hoping she would see her Shinx sometime soon. But Jay was very busy, he couldn't hold his breath much longer and turned around to kick back ot the surface. he quickly countered the Carvahna's Leer with a Leer of his own as he swam to the top. When he broke the water and took a breath, Jay swam to the land and cowered behind Skye, the Rage really got to him this time, scaring him so much, that he didn't want to attack back. "Jay, Spark." Skye commanded, but Jay just shook his head. +No,+ "Jay Spark." She looked at her pokemon. "What's wrong?"

The Carvahna gave a toothy grin from underwater, giving himself a brief break after using all of those rage attacks. Instead, he just swam lightly through the water. Staying just close enough to the bottom floor so that they wouldn’t see him through the murky water, all of that attacking had certainly taken a lot out of him.
’Ah…I wish things would be a little easier. I think I won this though, because they aren’t attacking back. ‘ The Carvahna thought about this for a couple of seconds, this coming from the Shinx that attacked him even after he was stuck paralyzed underwater? His curiosity was what made him appear to the surface of the water, simply watching with a spark of amusement in his eyes. Jay was practically trembling behind Skye’s legs, with a Lotad and Corphish around him for comfort. It was so sweet it was sickening.
Heh. Perhaps he could give that Lotad one last scare before he left for good. His eyes gleaming with excitement, he fully arose from the water, a false bloodlust in his eyes as he snarled at the group with his Scary Face.
One look at that and both the Lotad and the Corphish were near the breaking point. Exchaning glances to make sure that they were seeing the same thing; they began to scream in fear! Clinging to Skye’s legs like life rafts, hoping that she could somehow save them from the awful fate that the Carvahna could bring them.

Jay calmed himself and gave a warning Growl to the two pokemon by him. He shook his fur and looked up at Skye. "Are you ready?" She whispered. He growled and looked the Carvahna in the eyes, not even flinching at the Scary Face. "Ok, Spark." She knelt down and started to comfort the Lotad and the Corphish. She put a hand on the Lotad and the Corphish, whispering softly how it was going to be alright.
Jay took a step forwards and launched himself at the Shark pokemon, his body sparking with electricity. Though he was still a little scared about the Rage attack, he went full force. He attacked right when the Carvahna was above water to launch himself.

The two Pokémon flinched at Jay’s warning growl, not expecting to be on his bad side and quickly ducked their heads. Skye’s comforting touch helpful, but they wouldn’t rest until that Carvahna was out of the picture, so they would know for sure that they were safe. It was Lotad who had the biggest fear of the two, which was only making Corphish even more nervous about such a vicious Pokémon. Not a good duo at this point, but at least they didn’t have to actually fight the thing.
<Hit it, hit it, hit it, hit it…> The Corphish mumbled under his breath, peeking out from the shelter of its claws to take a look at Jay attacking the Carvahna. The Spark attack successfully hitting him and knocking him into a faint condition. Left without any energy to battle, swirls replaced his typical eyes in hopes of some kind of mercy from the group.
All participating Pokémon gain a level. Capture or move on?

Skye smiled at Jay. "Great job," She reached out and touched his nose. She was going ot keep him out, just in case something else attacked them. She concidered capturing the Carvahna for a second. "Maybe he would come in handy." She nodded and pulled out a pokeball, tossing it into the water and waiting for it to latch.
Knowing the two pokemon may be a little frightened still, she looked back at them. "It's alright, he won't hurt you now." She muttered quietly. "Don't worry." She'd train him and make him a little nicer, hopefully.

The Pokeball knocked the Carvanha right on its dorsal fin as it sucked him inside, resting on the waters surface like a bobber as it shook. During one of its shakes, it looked like it was going to go completely underwater until it stopped. The ponds ripples had stopped for now, letting out a 'ping' as clear as day as it rested in the middle of the pond. Now the only chore was going back out there to get it.

Species: Carvanha National Dex: #318 Ability:
Rough Skin: Damage to opponent when making physical contact
Type: Water/Dark Gender: Male Level: 12 Attacks: Bite, Leer, Rage, Focus Energy, Scary Face
<Lets get out of here...Just in case more come out.> The Lotad whimpered, wondering how long it would take before they reached a nice, safe, pond for them to stay in. At least that was what he assumed the goal was, that was what Corphish wanted at least. Skye seemed to simply want to get out of this Route, and he couldn't blame her. It was pretty rough out here.

Skye tried to Grab the Pokeball, but found it to far away, so Jay jumped into the water and took hold of it. "Thanks Jay." Skye muttered, pulling the pokeball and her pokemon out of the pond. "Ok, let's get going." She put it into her backpack and let the Corphish climb onto it if it wanted to.
She stood up and started to walk away quickly. She really wanted to finish this route, what a pain it was growing to be. Her eyes darted around for any pokemon that might attack them. Jay trotted along behind her, keeping his teeth barred and a growl in his throat to make sure any pokemon that tried to attack would know he was mean... though he really wasn't.

Several Pokemon cries reached over the ears of the group just as Corphish hopped on for a free ride. The Wild Lotad was more than happy to go wherever his buddy Corphish went, and walked on the opposite side of Skye so he wouldn't get on Jay's bad side. Keeping the happy smile all the way, he stopped in confusion as strange voices came over from the opposite side of the hill.
<What's going on?> Corphish questioned, trying to peer out from behind Skye's head to get a better view, squinting his eyes until he saw a single Pokemon in the distance, running closer and closer to them. Right behind that one gray blob of fur, several more Pokemon were running close behind it, suddenly taking the form of a Pack of Poochyena heading straight for the group.
<Head for the hills! Run for your life! Just don't go that way!> The Poochyena in front of the other three cried, not stopping despite Jay's evil glares and growls of warning. The other Poochyena were swift in following her, going around the group as fast as they could in search of shelter and safety.
Investigate what's going on?

OOC: AHHHHHHHHH my computer logged me out and I had a really good post!!! *cries*

Skye frowned and paused as the screams started. "I don't know," She muttered. Jay froze as the three puppy pokemon started to run towards them. +Head for the hills! Run for your life! Just don't go that way!+ Jay tilted his head to the side and started back up at a faster pace. Skye too started to walk, gaining speed as she got closer to the hill. Jay looked up at Skye who nodded. "let's go check it out." She broke into a run, Jay right on her heels. They wanted to find out who was causing all the trouble, who or what.

Skye stopped as she saw what was going on, Jay crashed into her leg and looked around. No way she was messing with that! She backed down the hill, motioning for Jay and the Lotad to follow behind her. What could she do to help? Two flocks fighting, she couldn't just tell them to be friends and have a great time.
This would slow down her path, but taking the long way around would be better than the battle going on at the hill. Sighing, she turned around and walked down the hill. "Come on guys, we'll go around the hill, not over." Skye smiled down at Jay and the Lotad.

<Um...Okay.> The Lotad chirped, ducking his head with the annoying thought that a Staravia's whirlwind would accidently hit him and send him rolling down the hill. He was part grass after all, giving him a reason to be afraid of the birds so high up into the air. Corphish wasn't all that phased by the loud noises, just looking around in any direction possible until something caught his eyes.
<What in the world...?>it commented, hopping off of her backpack before scuttling after the strange sight. Lotad was taken aback by this, after giving Skye and Jay a confused look, ran after the water type to see what was going on in that thick head. The bright side was that they were somewhat on the other side of the hill, still on the right path to the next town when the two stopped in front of possibly the biggest pond around. Several rivers connected to it, and it looked very clean. Nature's best.
But the most surprising thing was the two Pokémon on a small island in the center of it. It wasn’t actually an island, but the rocks were smooth enough to walk and rest on. On top of it, an Azurill stood wide-eyed at the spectacle before it. Her sister was evolving right in front of her eyes, and they hadn’t even battled or anything! The Azurill next to her, in moments, was a Marill, looking bright eyed and happy as can be.
“Marill! Marill mar!” She cheered, swinging her smaller tail around in the air in order to celebrate the occasion.
<But…How…?> The older sister was actually the Azurill, watching with disbelief as her little sister danced around her.

Skye watched Corphish jump off her backpack. She walked after him, her eyes widened as she saw the Azurill and the Marill. There were two Azurill and then there was an Azurill and a Marill. She blinked. "Wow," Skye had never seen a pokemon evolve, one of the many wonders of nature. "That was amazing." She looked down at the Lotad and Corphish.
"Did you see that?" She whispered to the two pokemon with her. "That was..." She shook her head and blinked a couple times. "Cool," She pulled at the straps of her backpack and sighed. This was a better sight, much better than the fighting birds, and much better than being attacked by any other pokemon.

<Yeah...I wonder why she evolved though...> The Corphish asked out loud thoughtfully, tilting its head to the side to ponder the situation. Though the only thing it could think about was the day it evolved, and it had no idea what it would become. It sensed that it would be something cool, and tough looking though, thinking it over with a chuckle.
But what if it ended up being something as fat and bubbly looking as that Marill? Taking another look at the two, it thought more and more how much better it would be to be an Azurill. After all, one of them had a built in chair, and she had the bigger tail. So maybe evolution wasn't as good as it thought it was?
<Sissy...You look sobig.> The Azurill finally spoke, unable to find the right words to say as she hopped around her sister for a closer look.
<Are you calling me fat? Because I'm not fat, your just little.> The youngest sister giggled, giving the Azurill a teasing poke on the head. Ah, it certainly felt good to make fun of the 'older' and more 'mature' one for a change.

Skye was really confused, not only did the pokemon evolve without battling, but she was younger. "I don't understand." She muttered to Corphish. How could that have happened? She shook her head and sighed. This was crazy. "Ok then, well..." She didn't really know if she could do anything, so she started to walk away. "Come on you three." She told the Lotad and the Corphish, Jay just followed behind Skye, always watching for other pokemon. She wanted to finish the route, but wanted her pokemon to be prepared for the gym battle, maybe she would find a pokemon to battle against.

<Like, oh, my, Arceus! I cannot believe you just did that.> A valley girl accent shouted out from behind the bushes. Having mastered it to perfection all on her own, without even hearing of the term ‘valley girl’ in her life, she had considered it her own unique way of talking.
<Like, I so did that. Believe it!> The other voice cried out, surprisingly a male one, matching her’s word for word as if he was a girl as well. In reality, he was just gay interested in it because he thought it was cool.
<No way!> She argued a little more defensively, trying to hold in the ecstatic screaming that was practically begging at her knees to be released into the open air.
<Way!> He replied, giggling as he hopped around in circles. Not stopping his happy little dance as Skye and friends walked closer and closer to them.
