Sophia smiled at the successful hit on the Rattata, but frowned as the Rattata wagged her tail at Conduit. That would lower his defense. But Conduit was well rested, and attempted to dodge the Quick Attack by jumping aside. He was grazed, but managed to stay on his feet. Keep up the assault, Conduit. Use Tackle. Sophia was satisfied by how much the rat's defense had been lowered. Conduit obeyed, running towards Rattata in a head on Tackle attack. ::shinx:: Conduit used Tackle. [/B]

● Hit by Tackle ● Uses Tackle ● Rattata is weakening. Capture/Attack? - <Oh! Ow! Wow! You pack a punch of tough stuff, dontcha?> She squeaked as the Shinx barreled right into her. He was a bit bigger than her, and even though his Rivalry ability toned down the damage of his attacks, his Intimidate ability also weakened hers. Except twice as much. Her body was starting to get sore from the excessive physical activity, and she felt more and more like sitting down for a short breather.
- She had an eclectic assortment of attacks at her disposal, but having a sore body had her resort to some of her weaker moves in order to conserve energy. Maybe if she had another Oran Berry, that would do the trick. Instead, she had to make do with what she had.
- The wind rustled the bushes, creating an uneasy feeling in her stomach. What if she lost? Would all she know about herself be totally crushed? It was only a friendly battle, but she was so so so passionate about winning. Charging towards the Shinx with a battle squeak, she tried to Tackle into his side, ready to finish him off.

Conduit mewed in pain as the Tackle hit him head on. His legs quivered weakly, but he would not give up. One eye closed, signalling the pain this Rattata was dishing out, it wasn't so much her brunt force as her speed that was overwhelming him. "Stay on your feet, Conduit! Use Tackle!" Conduit quickly obeyed, determined to stay on his feet as he dashed towards Rattata, head lowered to deliver maximum damage to his opponent. ::shinx:: Conduit used Tackle.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,400] [th] Rattata was thrown backwards. Her engery was being lowered by the second, she was tiring out already! Well, the Leer did lower her defence and the Shinx did seem to have an eclectic set of moves. She thought that was smart. The Trainer had strong will, she could see that. She would be willing to go along if the Trainer wanted to capture her, after all, she wouldn't let any human catch her unless she saw something in them. <Alright, I have one last attack in me! I hope.> She started running towards the shinx once more with Tackle, though a little slower than last time due to her weakening.. | Female | | used Tackle |
Is weakening, capture/attack?

This time, Conduit dodged, and Sophia breathed a sigh of relief as he landed gracefully on his feet. "Nice work!" she exclaimed. "Now, just keep using Tackle and don't give it a chance to dodge by using Leer!"
Conduit nodded in affirmation and leaped towards the Rattata, who seemed to be tiring rapidly. Eyes narrowed in concentration, he imagined successfully overwhelming the persistent rat as he charged.

● Hit by Tackle ● Has fainted. Conduit gains a level. - Trying to snap at the Shinx as he Tackled into her, the Rattata felt the rest of her health deplete as her efforts to strike the electric type failed her. She was never willing to give up during the battle to begin with, and her health simply wasn't congruous with her, having a wanderlust feeling of its own that simply vanished from her.
- Not the most cordial feeling in the word at all, as her exhaustion made her cancel any attacks that she might have used on the Shinx. Her body met with the crunch of dead leaves, with an eclectic mix of reds, yellows, and oranges.
- Maybe if her body was more voluble, or adaptable, she would have put up more of a fight. It was all over now, as friendly a battle as it had been, she still couldn't help but feel bitter about it. Pokemon had their pride to think about, after all. With a final sigh, she laid there defeated on the ground.

Kneeling down beside the Rattata, she held out a Pokeball. "You know, you're strong. And fast. I could use someone like you on my team. If you would like to join me, just touch this Pokeball and we can start our journey."
She held out the Pokeball in plain sight, patting Conduit with one hand, making him purr as she smiled. It was a well fought battle on his part.

Rattata looked up. <Good battle.> She said. As she stared at the Pokeball she thought about the things that would happen if she said yes. She seemed nice enough, the Trainer was a good one for sure. Yet the thought of being a captive Pokemon was not exactly her thought she nodded and hit the center of the ball and let it take her within it's hold

Sophia smiled as she put the Pokeball to her belt. "Welcome to the team. I'm sure you'll love it here," she said with a smile.
With that, she finished packing up her tent and other overnight things, slinging them into her backpack before moving on. It was a new day, and she was almost there. Almost at Ile Eletrique.

● Challenges Sophia to a battle. ● Level 10. Can you beat her? - A Stantler stood proudly in the way of the path to the city, tall antlers showing it's true power as its eyes glittered in the sunshine. It had already battled several trainers on the way to the city, and only let few pass due to concern for their Pokemon's health. It wasn't as if she didn't have any cordial feelings for others, after all. She was simply testing each of the trainers, trying to find one that was worthy of being her partner.
- Why would a Pokemon have such a goal? She had seen the things they could do, oh yes. So noble and graceful with their powerful Pokemon, helping others in the toughest of times. Traveling the world. She heard the stories from the Wingull that liked to perch themselves on her antlers, and she would happily listen with a serious, understanding nod of her head.
- Sophia approached her next, and with a confident stance the Stantler took a bold step forward. It was obvious that she wasn't about to let the girl get past her without a fight. <If you lose, don't fear.> She replied with a snort, motioning over to a bush with an oran berry resting on it's branches. That was for after their battle, of course. Any attempt to grab it now wouldn't work.

Seeing the large, proud Stantler, Sophia was stopped in her tracks. This was more than a little intimidated. And when she saw how it was in a position that suggested a desire to battle, she was only more unnerved. She wasn't quite sure who to send out. But Brine, with his ability to confuse, lower stats, and his Keen Eye ability, would be a viable choice against this much stronger Pokemon. As well as that, it seemed to be female, which would turn Conduit's Rivalry ability against him. Sending out Brine, she immediately sent out an order that would hopefully turn the tide in her favor. "Supersonic, now!" Opening his beak, a high pitched whine escaped his throat, hopefully dazing the large Stantler. ::wingull:: Brine used Supersonic.

The female Stantler stood proud before the human in front of her as she waited for her to choose her pokemon. Finally, a Wingull appeared from the trainer's pokeball and an immediate call for an attack.
Stantler didn't quite understand human talk but she knew well enough with her battles with trainers that when they called out something it usually meant an attack. Taking that call as her time to move, the large deer propelled her body to the size. However that didn't protect her from a sound wave, one she didn't expect. Her ears crashed against the top of her head as she tried to block the noise but the damage was done. Her vision became slightly blurred as a massive headache erupted in her head.
She smiled slightly at the tactic. She had come across this confusing attack strategy only once before. She had barely one because she could always swear that those darn trees were moving and her opponent.
Glancing to the side however she smiled bigger. The Wingull before her stuck out in the terrain around it. Granted it look like there was three of them but guess and check she assumed. Charging forward with massive legs, she attempted to tackle one of the white hazy images she could see. However, it wasn't the right one. Darn.

Good. Now that it was confused, Sophia had to lower its attack and even the playing field a little. "Brine, Growl and Water Gun."The good thing about Normal Types was that they only had one resistance: Ghost Types. Brine's water attacks would do normal damage. Swooping down, a Growl escaped from the young Wingull's throat, long and raspy. It was immediately followed by a powerful jet of ice cold water, designed to stun and overwhelm the more powerful Stantler. ::wingull:: Brine used Growl and Water Gun.

The Stantler shook her head, trying to shake off the confusion. Using Leer she missed again due to all the fuzziness she was seeing. Finally the water gun hit, knocking her back a bit. It knocked off the confusion, finally being able to shake it off she snorted. The growl got her and she snorted. Scratching the ground underneath her she started charging at the Wingull with Tackle again. She was sure she'd win, after all, how could a little bird like that beat her? She snorted in laughter as she charged, her ego was starting to get the best of her again. uses Leer and misses. Snapped out of confusion. Uses Tackle!

Brine grimaced as he was struck by the Tackle. He managed to stay in the air, but his flight became somewhat lopsided and uncontrolled. Sophia frowned, sharing Brine's discomfort, but this Stantler was stronger than any of her Pokemon. In a fair fight, she would almost certainly win. Sophia had to keep the playing field even. A previous Tackle and a Leer had missed, but Sophia didn't want to attempt reinflicting the confusion just yet. If she missed, things could go completely wrong. "Growl and Water Gun again, Brine!" yelled Sophia, and Brine shook himself awake, again growling at the intimidatingly large Stantler before sending a jet of water at her as powerfully as he could muster. ::wingull:: Brine used Growl and Water Gun.

● (Attack -2) Hit by Water Gun ● Uses Leer + Astonish - The water gun could have been a lot more painful to her in the Wingull had actually bothered to train himself more. Lowering her antlers and shaking them to deflect some of the blow, her devious eyes glistened with malice. As if her Intimidate ability wasn't enough, there was a water freezing Leer sent from her eyes. Not literally, but it was as cold as looks could get.
- With hooves kicking against the ground, creating some clouds of dust behind her, she started to charge through the Water Gun. It still stung against her head, but none of it got in the way of her vision. Her determination made her confident, and when she believed that she could do something, she was going to do it.
- Right as she reached the Wingull, she suddenly stopped and raised her hooves in the air, kicking them about randomly with her ghost fueled Astonish. It was a frightening move alright, especially against smaller opponents.

With his defense lowered, the Astonish did quite a bit of damage to Brine, the shock-waves and the terror of a Ghost Type move intimidating him, though he thankfully didn't flinch, allowing Sophia to shout out another order as he hovered in wait for Sophia's call. "Growl and Water Gun again."Wingull repeated the same motions again, growling at close range, before launching yet another jet of water at the Stantler. Sophia decided that next turn, she would try to confuse the mighty battler again. Brine used Growl and Water Gun. [/B] ::modcoin::

Stantler dug her hooves into the ground to keep herself from being hit backwards from the Water Gun. Shaking the water off herself she snorted. This Trainer was a great battler, she manged to get her a bit weakened after all. Stomping the ground with her hooves she used Leer at the Wingull before charging at it once more with Tackle. She hasn't had a good battle like this before, all the others ones got defeated easily and she had to let them through anyways. But she finally got a good battle, if only this Trainer could beat her she would be very surprise. used Leer and Tackle spirit edit: the Stantler is quite a few levels higher. it should not be weakening before the Wingull. ^^

Brine quivered as he was hi by the Leer and the Tackle. Defense lowered and hit by the Stantler's powerful bulk, he couldn't take another hit. Seeing this, Sophia was thoroughly convinced that now was the bet time to confuse the Stantler again, and so called ot to Brine. "Hurry, use Supersonic!" Obeying, Brine let loose a high pitched whine, the same as last time, while Sophia could do nothing but fervently hope confusion took hold. ::wingull:: Brine used Supersonic. [/B]

Stantler heard the Supersonic once more. Almost leaning into a tree she got herself back up. She tried to use Leer again...but she was facing the wrong way. She then turned a bit and use Tackle once more at the Wingull, though she almost missed but she thinks she hit her target...or a tree.
