Parallel noticed the smaller shack beside the Sol Ranch and decided to go inside to have a look around, curiosity getting the better of him. His feline eyes lingered on each pokemon in their small pens, their names scrawled on card beside them. They looked so lonely. His tail twitched with unease and he flattened his ears back. This felt like a place of sadness, not of hope. Padding quietly over to one cage in particular, the persian pokemorph knelt down to peer in at a tiny cleffa. He smiled sadly at the normal type. The little thing was so young, too young to be trapped and alone like this.
Looking around he spotted the counter and an old woman behind it. Whispering positive words to the cleffa, he stood up and made his way up to the woman. "Excuse me, may I have a closer look at that young cleffa you have? He appears to need a good home and I can give him the comfort that he needs." He was sure of this. He only had two pokemon already, so he could easily help the baby pokemon feel comfortable around the others quickly without getting overwhelmed. His natural instinct was to protect this little creature and he did not want to leave without him.

GRANNY TABITHA ! The kind old woman smiled warmly at the guest as he interacted with the lonely Cleffa. The poor dear had never really related to the other Pokémon in her facility, so he tended to feel excluded, but if a trainer took and cared for him then he would surely feel loved and cared for. She was pleased when the Persian morph asked her if he could take a closer look. "Why, of course, dear." She replied in a gentle voice, retrieving the key for Cleffa's cage and walking carefully over to unlock it. The pink fluffball of a Pokémon stepped out towards the human, scrutinizing him with a large amount of curiosity.
<You have a weird aura,> whispered the Cleffa with wonder. <It's like, warm green, but with some turquoise... and just a little red.> His pupils were enlargened as he considered whether or not he could really trust the trainer. Trainers usually weren't very honest, but he could feel genuine kindness flowing from this one. He approached cautiously, caring little that Parallel looked vaguely similar to one of his species' predators. <Can I trust you?> He inquired.
Granny Tabitha leaned on her cane, watching the scene unfold.

Parallel padded after the woman he knew to be known as Granny Tabitha after he thanked her. He watched as she unlocked the cleffa's small cage and knelt down as the fluffy pink pokemon came tumbling out. His ears flicked towards the baby pokemon, his full attention focused now. The cleffa's eyes were upon him and in them he saw a wave of strong curiosity.
"I do" he agreed. He was a pokemorph, he was bound to seem different to normal people, that and he considered himself different in other ways too. So his aura was warm green? Like a forest perhaps, he thought, or the sea. He smiled gently at the cleffa and said, "Do you know a lot about auras little one?" he asked, his own curiosity piqued now. "Unfortunately I do not, but I would be eager to learn, if you would teach me?"
When the cleffa asked whether or not he could trust Parallel, the persian morph leaned down a little closer to the normal type. "Your name is Seth isn't it? I read it on your label over there. My name is Parallel. Trust is hard to gain, it's true, but I can promise you that I will be honest with you about everything and that I will treat you with the love and respect you deserve. You are free to decide for yourself whether you think though I am trustworthy enough. Feel my aura little Seth and tell me what you decide."

::cleffa:: P O K E M O N . P O U N D . . .
Seth quietly stared up at Parallel as the Persian morph knelt down to him, maintaining a comforting distance away from the youngster. He didn't know what to make of the guy based on first impressions, but he was intrigued from the mystic qualities hidden in the minds of Pokemorphs. It was as if they had realized the hardships in life much sooner than others, which to the Cleffa, was translated as experience and wisdom. Both were valuable traits when looking for a caretaker or a Pokemon Trainer, so he had to dip his tiny pink head to that. <I've read about them.> He quietly responded, acknowledging his ability to read several human scriptures. At the opportunity to teach another what he learned, the Cleffa immediately blushed at the concept. It had been a while since someone took him seriously before, and even the other Pokemon gave them skeptical looks from their bitter cages. <What a fool.> A haughty Goldeen huffed from her fish tank, giving a dismissive flick of her tail as she turned around.
The Cleffa nervously looked down, suddenly self conscious of himself as Parallel stared down at him. Teaching another would be quite difficult, since most of it came from his natural ability. <I-I could try. It would take time, but I'll tell you how I learned.> The Cleffa smiled weakly, hoping the trainer wouldn't be mad at him if he couldn't succeed. He smiled as he heard his own name, making a mental note of Parallel's as well. He kind of liked this guy, and this was the first trainer to show any interest in him at all. At the first chance, the Cleffa took in a deep breath and covered his eyes with his hands. Ever so slowly, he stroked his eyelids as if his hands were molasses. The slow, sliding motion was enough to put the Cleffa in a trance as he stared at Parallel's aura. He could definitely see it, even if it was for a few seconds. <Red, yellow, and hints of green. I sense luck and passion from you. I don't think you're lying to me.> Seth reported, hoping that his analysis of the colors wouldn't disappoint him.
The interaction was enough for Granny Sabitha, convinced that the Cleffa had found a new partner that could take good care of him. Slipping the proper form out from under her desk, she hesitated. This guy looked new anyways, and the rules were clearly marked on the front door. He probably was being honest, so why not? "The adoption fee is 2k, and it helps support the other Pokemon here in the pound." If he was up for it, the Cleffa was his.

Parallel listened quietly to the small pink pokemon, a warm smile spreading across his features. Seth was a very talented Pokémon indeed, he just needed some encouragement. Parallel would be there for him. He wouldn't let other Pokémon like that goldeen bully him. He was startled when he heard Granny Tabitha's voice, he'd almost forgotten she was there! He was surprised to hear her offering the price for Seth, he hadn't expected her to allow him custody so soon. He blinked slowly at smiled at her. "Thank you very much dear woman, here is the money and I hope many more Pokémon find homes to go to." Handing over the correct amount he looked down at Seth, "And thank you little one, for trusting me. If you are ready, then you can leave this place and come with me."
