::cubchoo:: P O K E M O N . P O U N D . . . Sabitha watched the trainer come in, slowly examining the Pokémon that she had available. She truly put all of her energy into these Pokémon of hers, but an abandoned pokemon's heart was really hard to heal. She wanted them to do well and to find a nice family, but it was hard when their personalities became so warped they were unapproachable. And with a booming mall next to her pound, trainers were rare.
This one walked past all of the Pokémon she had, examining every single one of them before ending on the cubchoo. This Pokémon had been put up for sale, and after no one wanted to buy him, he had been ruthlessly abandoned.
"You need a lot of heart and patience for that one," she said, handing the trainer the form, hoping the hardship would dissuade the trainer.

This time Astrid really had to move the pokémon into a more comfortable position, and after a brief struggle she managed to hold it against her chest, to alleviate tome of the weight. Not that it was heavy, but she really needed a hand to fill out the form.
"No worries, my Pokémon are my partners, come hell or high water." Astrid said as she was handed the contract. Though her eyes still glistened with moisture and her heart was still shaken with sadness, she knew this much to be true. It was a rule she had taken to heart as soon as she had hatched Xiphos. Pokémon weren't expendable she knew as much. Her line of work was a dangerous one, and she would not expect her pokémon to be there for her, if she was not there for them in return. With a confident expression once again gracing her mind, Astrid began filling out the form to the best of her Abilities.
Which Pokémon do you want? This Cubchoo that I am holding
Why do you want this particular Pokémon? I seek a partner to help me both in trouble and peace. This cub has a type that would be most beneficent for me and several tactical advantages... though in all honesty he seems to have caught my heart and I cannot bring myself to leave him. I desire to make him my partner, and give him a good life to the best of my abilities.
How many Pokémon do you currently have in your team? I have one other partner
Do you plan on training this Pokémon? I do.
Do you have the time and commitment to love this Pokémon? I have no pressing matters to attend, I am journeying with my pokémon and as such I have all the time in the world for this cub. As a Pokémon Paladin I am as committed to my partners as I am my word, this one shan't be overlooked.
Have you adopted recently? If so, when was your last visit? This is the first time I adopt.
Do you understand that the nicknames are permanent and cannot be changed? I shall make no effort to change his nickname.
After a long time of filling out the answers, some with more detail than others, Astrid finally looked back up, pleased with herself. She had answered as truthfully as she could, and surely that would be enough. She handed the form back to the elderly lady with a nod and then took to petting the cub once again.

Granny Sabitha sighed quietly to herself as Astrid filled out the form, tapping her pen quietly on her desk as she waited patiently for the trainer to finish. The clock ticked as it remained ominous on the wall, quietly chiming in to fill in the silence. The Cubchoo looked awfully fitting beside the brave looking girl, watching as he clung quietly to her cold armor. It seemed to bring comfort to him, especialy due to his particular fondness of the coolness of the metal.
"Ah, done?" Her expression brightened up when she held the form in her hands, stacking the two sheets of paper together and tapping it against the wooden surface of her desk. It looked much nicer when the two sheets were perfectly aligned, especially when she was about to review her application. Sitting down carefully on her chair, she read it silently to herself as the clock kept on ticking in the room. Everything looked good, and Sabitha had been particularly desperate to find that poor Cubchoo a home. It had been around for so long, completely alone.
Poor thing, even now. She could tell that it was bound to endure many more troubles in the future, especially due to its sensitive nature from its previous abandonment. Christopher was such a bitter creature, but she believed with some work he would eventually come around. "Accepted, so please take good care of him." She smiled kindly to the pair, offering the Cubchoo's Pokeball for the Paladin to claim. PD was taken, and things were finished.

((OOC I think you charged too little for the pokémon))
She had been accepted. The words filled Astrid with pride and joy. This person seemed to have judged her trustworthy enough, and somehow Astrid figured it meant alot coming from someone who would often see the worst of trainers. She was also joyuous as she had been permitted to adopt the little pokemon huddled up against her armour. She looked down at the Cubchoo and smiled. Right now she doubted it would beleive her, so she saved her words of encouragement, instead she simply whispered into it's fur as she left the shop: "I promise to do you good", it was a Paladins vow, and it wouldn't be broken.

Nora walked into the pound with Black Ice in tow. She almost never went into her ball considering the years the two spent with one another, but... it was important that she was out. If the two Pokemon couldn't get along with one another, it would not be wise to bring them to the team. Black Ice's clawed hands rested behind her head as she walked, nonchalantly looking over the fresh meat in the room.
"Hey, Lenny... you really think we're gonna find someone worth our salt around here?"
"I can raise Magikarp to Gyarados with time and effort. I know Pokemon psychology. It is whether or not the Pokemon desire to come with me, not whether or not I take them."
"Sheeeesh... you're like a stress ball! Soft and hard ta break!"
"I don't try to curb your sneaky tendencies, Ice. They are a part of you. It is keeping that part of you stimulated towards growth which is the part we work with. That is Pokemon psychology."
Seeing the two water Pokemon in the room, she knew she needed someone with a little special power rather than physical. The polywag in general caught her attention as she walked over to Granny Sabitha and bowed in respect.
"Madam, my name is Nora Usher. Pleased to meet you. I am here to see if any of the ones in the pound are compatible with my current team. Happiness with my other Pokemon are just as important as with their trainer, so I hope you don't mind me bringing Black Ice along. She... speaks. I am a teacher as well as a trainer and I refine my Pokemon's technique through simple tips and tricks and allow them to fight on their own. If you believe none of the Pokemon here would be a good match, I would like to be on a mailing list. I do believe every Pokemon has untapped potential in the right environment."

Granny Sabitha tiredly raised her head when the door chime jingled at a new guest. She had been working late hours tending to the same group of Pokemon, wishing that she could hire someone young to help care for the little ones. She was lucky that these Pokémon eventually learned to trust her after all of their time here, yet they had the hardest time bonding with others. It was often tiresome having to tend to all of these Pokemon, wishing that she could give them a nice trainer soon. They had so much potential, and honestly it was a shame to see them like this. "Hello." She said weakly, faking a smile as Nora bowed in greeting. It was rare to see such manners these days, but it was much appreciated.
She looked towards the Sneasel with a hesitant look, not sure what was going on at first. She wasn't here to abandon, was she? From her long winded introduction, it didn't seem as if she was doing such an action. "I see...you're interested in adopting then." Granny Sabitha nodded in understanding, knowing what she was supposed to do in this. "I'm glad to hear it. I'm Granny Sabitha, and I'm in charge of this Pokémon Pound." She dipped her head down in greeting, feeling a pain in her back while doing so.
"There is a form you need to fill out. I need to keep a record of these things, after all." She chuckled as she took out a dusty clipboard from her desk. There was a cheap looking pen tied to it to prevent theft, but no one would really want such a cheap old thing. She handed the form to Nora, then turned her gaze to the Pokémon residing in their cozy cages. They looked pretty bitter, despite how often they were let out. Perhaps their abandonment issues were much too great at this point in time.

"Thank you, Madam. I will try not to take too long. I know it's late in the evening, but after all these battles, it made me realize how much I needed another Pokémon."
With that, she sat down, taking the cheap pen in her hand to fill out the form.
Which Pokmon do you want?
I had my eye on Amphitrite.
Why do you want this particular Pokmon?
On a technical level, I need a Pokémon who has access to special abilities and knows how to use them well. When she grows up, she will be a very balanced fighter. On a personal level, I, myself, know what it feels like to be abandoned because nobody believes your skills are worth much...
Nora briefly paused in her form-filling as a rare tear fell from her eyes, despite her face being as cold as stone.
"Lenny? You okay?"
"Yes... just a hard question."
... I have dedicated my life to bringing out the potential of even the weakest of Pokémon. While my own experience with love is something I am learning on my own, it is something that I realize that I do not need to learn on my own. While I do have Black Ice, I have had her all my life. She has always had respect and affection. If I am to grow as a person, I need to grow others as well as myself.
How many Pokmon do you currently have in your team?
Just Ice.
Do you plan on training this Pokmon?
I am a stern trainer, but a fair one. I do plan on training her for combat. Perhaps it would give her some aggression therapy.
Do you have the time and commitment to love this Pokmon?
I plan on only keeping six Pokémon period. It is not the team with power, but the team you spend time on and become intimate with. Even against weaker odds, strategy and experience always win. As on a personal level, I admit that I do not have good relations with my own family. Time and commitment, yes, I have both, but I admit that I, myself, haven't fully understood love. I came from a family where action equaled adoration. I do not intend on sharing that philosophy with her, but I am unsure whether or not I will be enough.
"Lenny? Are you sure you're alright? I ain't never seen you like dis!"
Nora paused from her writing, lost in her thoughts. Her head tilted up as Black Ice leaned over on the armrest of the chair staring at her trainer.
"Huh?"
"Whaddya cryin' for?"
Surprised, she noticed several tear drops had fallen on the form as she had wrote. Feeling her cheeks, her eyes watered even though her face was as cold as stone. Taking her fingers and wiping them away, she looked at them curiously.
"Oh dear. I... believe I'm alright. I might need a tissue, though."
"Hang on, Lenny, I gotcha!"
Hopping off the chair, her speed vaulted her to one of the tables in the area which had some tissue and swiftly jumped back to the side of her trainer. Though one of them was poked with her claws, she managed to get several tissues for Nora. After blowing her nose, she continued with the form.
Have you adopted recently? If so, when was your last visit?
This will be my first time adopting.
Do you understand that the nicknames are permanent and cannot be changed?
While I think that it might be sometimes healthy to change a name for the sake of moving on with their lives, I will respect the rules and keep her name intact.
Taking a deep breath, Nora finished the form and slowly rose from her chair. She returned the pen first and then the form.
"I... am sorry, I don't know what came over me. I suppose I suddenly felt... empathic."

Once Granny Sabitha took back the form, she gave it a look and read it carefully before she agreed that the two could be a match. She really wished that this trainer could somehow do wonders for the poor Poliwag. It had unfortunately gone around between multiple trainers and had been abandoned simply too many times. She felt bad for the pokemon and really wished that it could finally find a good home for once. "Be sure to use her. She had been abandoned so many times that she is probably has little to no confidence at all in her own ability. But she is a strong one. Just take good care of her, treat her well, and she will reward you." She said before she extended her hand up to grab Nora's. "AND MAKE SURE TO USE HER. DON'T PC HER LIKE THE LAST PERSON WHO TOOK HER! IF YOU DO YOU WILL BE BANNED HERE!" She said. She was dead serious, she did not want to deal with that again. Name: Amphitrite Level: 7 Gender: Female OT: Joseph Received At: Pokepound @ 7 Personality: Hates people with a passion. Depressed she would never find love or a suitable trainer. Taking her hand with the stern warning, her watered eyes met the old woman's.
"Madam... I have every intention of turning her into fierce warrior. I doubt I will have too much room, as if I gain extra Pokemon that I do not need, I would trade them to friends who would care for them before I dump them here again."
Taking the Poliwag into her arms she noticed the creatures sad eyes. A gaze of pity crossed her eyes as she cradled the creature for a little while.
"I can not promise to have all the answers... but the least I can do is take you with me and treat you as my own. You may not believe me now, but I have a lot to learn myself. Perhaps we can find the answers together."

Upon hearing the door chime, Granny Sabitha had great hopes for whoever was planning on entering her pound. With an eager smile on her wrinkled face, she gathered up the correct form and snatched a pen from one of the cups on her desk. Pens and pencils belonged in cups, obviously. Where else were they supposed to go? She looked weary and tired after managing many Pokemon in this understaffed establishment, but seeing someone interested in taking one home always brightened up her day. "Hello?" She called out in greeting, instantly spotting Kreiss after squinting through the duly lit room.
It looked as if there were some fire issues in here, and Sabitha couldn't help but stare at the Solrock. "You...aren't here to pound that trouble maker, are you?" She gulped, holding out the adoption form anyways to encourage something positive from this experience. Oh dear, why was he setting fire to all of her favorite plants?! She couldn't help but stare in shock, debating her options as the small fires stayed put for the moment. She really hoped that they wouldn't grow at this point, otherwise she really might have a problem.

He turned to the pokemon, lifting his arm up which held its pokeball. "Thats enough from you," he said, returning the Solrock to its pokeball so it couldn't cause any more trouble. He turned to the woman again. "Ha no, my life would be boring without him, he makes things fun. I'm sorry about the trouble," he told the woman with a pleasant smile. "I would like to adopt the Lunatone you have held here though, I think they'd be good friends," he added, approaching the counter. She handed him the adoption form and he took a pen and began to fill it out.
Which Pokémon do you want?
Lunatone
Why do you want this particular Pokémon?
I have a Solrock and I think they'd be a good match. They're natural partners afterall.
How many Pokémon do you currently have in your team?
4
Do you plan on training this Pokémon?
Yes.
Do you have the time and commitment to love this Pokémon?
I have no plans and a lot of free time. The Lunatone will be my friend as much as a pokemon.
Have you adopted recently? If so, when was your last visit?
This is my first adoption.
Do you understand that the nicknames are permanent and cannot be changed?
The nickname is perfect, I wouldn't change it even if I could.
He finished scribbling, then placed the pen down atop the paper and pushed the form towards the woman, passing a pleasant smile as he did so. "Is there anything else you need?" he inquired pleasantly.

::lunatone:: P O K E M O N . P O U N D . . . Granny Sabitha kept an eye on the solrock as the trainer filled in the small form. Nocturne was quite a handful, the pokemon quite volatile at times, a bit bitter to have been abandoned here. She read through the form, glancing back periodically at the solrock. Maybe reuniting these two species would do Nocturne some good. "Why don't I let Nocturne out for a bit to see how he socializes with your pokemon?" said the pound owner. If the two of them didn't destroy one another, she supposed this trainer would be suitable. Taking the moon pokemon's pokeball into her hand, asserting her ownership, she opened the small pen. Nocturne floated out.

It was so sad, watching these pokemon watch her as they pace in their pens. Although her memory has nearly been wiped clean, the girl knows those "sad puppy dog eyes" when they pull her heart strings. Giving out a sigh, she caved in and walked through the door. As she entered, a small bell rang to signal her arrival. The saddest of them all was that meowth, looking at her as if she could not find a trainer gullible enough to adopt her. Little did the girl know, not all poke'mon were innocent. Oh well, it was too late, and the girl found herself drumming her nails on the counter as she waited for someone to help her.

P O K E M O N . P O U N D . . . Not every pokemon in their pens had these 'sad puppy dog eyes'. Some looked more bitter, more annoyed, more aggressive, as if unwilling to let anyone close to them again. Still, Granny Sabitha tried to do her best in order to find these pokemon nice homes. "Hello, are you here to adopt a pokemon?" said the woman, smiling at the girl that had come in. She still kept an eye on the male with the solrock, just to see how the lunatone would do with its partner pokemon.

Allow for Nocturne and his Solrock to socialise. She'd seen the way in which Solrock behaved already, and she had the file on Nocturne right there. They were both troublemakers, did she honestly want to risk something like that inside her pound? "I'm not sure thats such a good idea, but if you say so." He passed a shrug, letting a short laugh escape him, it was her funeral after all. Taking the pokeball into his hand once more, he pressed the button, allowing his Solrock free once more. Initially, it took the Pokémon a little time to understand what was going on, he wondered why he had been released so soon after being returned to his pokeball, but it wasn't hard to see after looking around. His eyes looked over at his partner, the Lunatone.
Nocturne floated out, silent and almost lifeless as he analysed the room outside of his pen, looking at what was going on, who was here, and more importantly, just how he could cause trouble and make things fun for himself. "What are you all looking at, stupid people. You think you're good enough to take me? Which one of you is it huh, is it you at the desk, stupid little girl. What makes you think you're good enough to be my master?" The Lunatone raged, in his own Pokémon language for only him and the other Pokémon to understand. He was too busy raging at the girl at the desk, that he didn't even stop to consider that it might have been the brutish looking boy stood off to the side who wanted to adopt him. No, instead Nocturne floated forward, and being spinning around the customer at the desk aggressively, sending out minor confusion rays from within him. Not enough to do any damage, but enough to make everyones heads a little bit fuzzy.
Solrock floated forward, his eyes fixating on the actions of the Lunatone. "Hey that looks fun!" the Pokémon expressed, floating forward it joined into the Lunatones stellar orbit, circling around the girl with his partner until it looked like they were performing a dance of sorts, and whilst the Lunatone's confusion rays emanated from inside its body, Solrock allowed small bursts of solar flames to explode out of him, setting light to various objects within the room.
Kreiss took a step back, shrugging and laughing to himself nervously. He looked at the old lady behind the counter, lifting his hands up as he shrugged. "Don't say I didn't warn you," he said with a smile, a little smug, but pleasant all the same. "Well, I'd be happy to take him off your hands, if you're fed up of his trouble." He told the old lady, almost kindly.

"Hello, are you here to adopt a Pokémon?"
The old woman's voice reverberated in the girls ears, but Cora nodded instantly. What was the use of catching wild pokemon when there were pokemon here who needed homes? "I would adopt every one of them if I could," She laughed nervously. She turned and her eyes fell on the meowth, who was still watching her. "This one. She looks so sad." Whether or not the meowth was actually sad, or manipulating the girl, she still felt bad about this whole pound atmosphere.

::lunatone:: ::meowth:: P O K E M O N . P O U N D . . . Granny Sabitha's attention quickly turned back to the lunatone and solrock, watching the two pokemon frolick and wreck havoc, becoming a fire hazard and sighed, a small smile on her face. "I suppose it would be good for him to have a companion," she told Kreiss. "600PD, and he's all yours." It was had, watching a pokemon she had consoled and taken care of get adopted, but it was also a happy event. These pokemon deserved a better place.
With that out of the way, Granny Sabitha turned back to the girl that had come in. She was interested in the Meowth, who already had a plan hatching in her little feline mind. Marley did not like spending all of her time in this pound and wanted to be free. This would be the first stage. The cat looked up at the female trainer, doing her best to look absolutely adorable and lost, a slight pout and large eyes hoping to ensnare the trainer into her grasp. Ha! She was getting adopted for sure, today!
Sabitha handed a form to the trainer, glancing back at the meowth periodically. Marley was a very smart pokemon, she had discovered, and not to be underestimated. Still, maybe a nice home outside of these cages will help change her temperament a bit. "I wouldn't trust this one too much," she said. "She's a smart one and knows how to get her way. But if you want to adopt, just fill in this form here."

Cora nodded, and was handed the paperwork. She reached over to the pen and laid the paper on the counter, and began to fill out the form:
Which Pokémon do you want? Marley, the Meowth.
Why do you want this particular Pokémon? She is just so forlorn and sad looking, I would feel bad just walking by without so much as helping the little thing. I only have a few pokemon on my team, but I know they would accept Marley will open arms.
How many Pokémon do you currently have in your team? Two.
Do you plan on training this Pokémon? Yes, of course.
Do you have the time and commitment to love this Pokémon? I promise.
Have you adopted recently? If so, when was your last visit? No, this is my first time at the pound.
Do you understand that the nicknames are permanent and cannot be changed? I understand.
Cora smiled and handed the form back to the old woman, then looked back at the meowth, "Don't worry, sweetheart. I'll get you out of here." Little did Cora know that this was exactly what the cunning feline wanted. She turned to the old woman and smiled, "I'm sure she will be a precious little thing." Oh, how Cora was so naive when it came to Pokemon. Once she had gotten Marley, she would pay the old woman and be on her way.

She had stated her price, and that meant that the Lunatone was as good as his, perfect. He approached the desk, lifting his pokeball up to threaten the misbehaving Solrock. "Stop that right now or you'll be going back inside," he said sternly, swiftly causing the Solrock to simmer down, if only a little. Turning back to the desk with a pleasant grin towards the lady, he fished into his pocket and pulled out the necessary amount of money, placing it on the desk. He'd wait to receive the pokeball from the woman, then once everything was in order, pass her a reassuring nod. "I'll take care of him, don't worry," he told her, then made for the exit.
