Blade was disgusted by the rash Poocheyena. Although he was upset, there were other options outside of violence. The Bagon was a lot more level headed than his past self. Nick watched this event happen and did not take any actions. Blade was already about to himself. <Stop!> Blade exclaimed as his hand was already covered in the powers of the dusk. He would try to pierce through to the other side using Shadow Claw.
To be honest there was little to work with. This foliage was a big problem, somewhere there had to be the HM to get through this. Catching on to the name, hidden machine - Nick himself decided to take some small action. He stepped back from the scene and began to survey the lands. Perhaps there was some sort of clue or something hanging out, somewhere.

*Caterpie saves Wooper by using String Shot on Poochyena * Poochyena (Speed -1, Attack +1)
Right as the Bite was about to strike the Wooper, a String Shot emerged from the other side of the vines, wrapping itself right around the Poochyena's hind paw. With a strong tug and a pained gasp, the Caterpie yanked the dark type in the opposite direction before the Bite could strike. Meanwhile, as Blaze was hacking away at the vines, visible damage appeared on them. One more Shadow Claw would've been enough to allow them to enter the battle.
<Hmth. Little worm. You'll pay for that.> The Poochyena snarled, suddenly lifting his head up in the air for a mighty Howl. He might've been slower now, but he felt stronger than ever. His angry eyes glanced at the terrified Wooper, deciding that he could always track her down later, if she chose to leave.
<Aha, my number 5 customer has arrived. When this is over, I might give you a discount on your next purchase!> She exclaimed, forcing a smile on her normally sly looking face. The Poochyena growled and turned his ominous head in her direction, one that was gelid to her in every way. She gulped and stepped back, not wanting to get in his way.

The vines were severely hacked away, but some foliage still was in their way. The trainer realized the heightening danger as he saw the angry Poocheyena lock its eyes on the Caterpie. Obviously, Blade was angered by this. It was obvious, Nick had to do what he had to do. A stunning light was released from the PokeBall as his Monferno leaped forth. Forming a claw, the monkey landed on the vines.
His toes would lock with the vines as he bent backward. With focused eyes he began to hack away at the vines. That was enough to create an opening. Power returned a thumbs up to his trainer as Blade rushed through using Focus Energy. The little dragon was on a mission as he rushed for the little dog. His head lowered as he went in for the strong charge!
Pow leaped from the vines and stood upon his trainer's shoulder. He eventually lowered and docked himself like a parrot to a pirate. This battle should be quick with the fired up Blade.

Poochyena ( Speed -1, Attack +1) Hit by Headbutt Uses Roar on Blade Mod Challenge: Life Story + Sudden Change in Emotions
Steps slowly approached the breaking vines, his snout pointed low to the ground as his tail swished back and forth, just barely touching the tall flowers growing around him. That Monferno might be able to get the vines apart, but that worm was his. He always had a bit of a taste for worms, as it was the only thing his mother would be able to get him for a long period in his life. After all, in the end, he was only a scavenger. His body could handle plenty of junk food, but after relying on worm meat for such a long time, he found himself craving it more and more.
His paw slipped through the vines, attempting to pull out the frightened Caterpie as he made a frightened protest, clinging to Nick's pants for dear life. Right then, the vines opened loose and a Gible was revealed, making the Poochyena jolt upright, completely startled. What was going on? So soon? He attempted to dodge the headbutt, but the remaining string shot got stuck on some vines, and he was right in the way of the attack.
<Oowwww!> He whimpered, rolling onto his back from the blow. He blinked a few times before realizing that he still had to fight. Suddenly, he felt very afraid. What was this thing, this thing that really, really hurt him? Taking a step back, wide eyes focused on the Gible, he realized that he had to scare it off. Scare or be scared: it was that kind of world, wasn't it? He loved being the bully, but suddenly there was a new bully in town. Gulping, he let out a sharp roar on the Gible, attempting to get rid of him.

ooc - Blade is actually a Bagon.
The Bagon closed it's eyes as it felt the great sense of joy and victory as his head collided with the Poocheyena. He recalled his younger days, long before Nick came along. He was being nurtured by his mother and father - two Salamences. They watched over and protect him, even took him on trips upon their back. But, like any other small dragon, he had to learn to fend for himself. The winter was a harsh season and his parents left him out in the mountain.
His head was tendered compared to other Bagon. The mountain was steep, but only at the bottom was vegetation. So he had to travel down the snow filled mountain. It was quite a rush, but scary at the same time. One slip and it was all over. The Bagon slowly crept, but the piercing winds grabbed his body like a hand. The chills brought him to a staggering numbness. It was the moment his foot gave out - he fell.
His eyes shut, as the last act of strength in his body. His head cracked into a couple rocks. He laid on in the snow, his tender head now toughening up. Days later he put his first berry in his mouth. He looked up towards the mountain, which he conquered and felt his first taste of victory.
Before Blade knew it he was recalled to his PokeBall. A blue serpent replaced him as Nick looked shocking. He did not care for that little "Roar" maneuver, but he would handle this situation as well. The trainer drew his arm back and excitingly thrusted it forward. This was becoming tasteful to Nick. For a couple years he built this nonverbal form of communication which he practiced and tamed his Pokemon with. This training method was working quite well.
He remembered days where he did not think it would be successful or efficient. Guess he was wrong. The Dratini powered forward using Agility. He was darting straight for the little dog. Dew hoped to couple his speed from Agility, with the power of Slam.

The poochyena was still peeved at this entire situation. It was rather annoying, really, to not get stuff you wanted on time. He Howled, and before he knew it; he was hit by the trainer's new Pokémon. He yelped, it certainly hurt! He retaliated at once, using Bite to clamp down on the tail of the dratini. He would get his stupid berry from this stupid wooper and would defeat the stupid trainer! (-1 Spd +2 Atk) Mood: Angry Poochyena uses Howl and Bite!

Dew cried as his tail was bit by the hound. As a counter, his body quickly glowed in a blue light. The paralyzing aura was sent in the direction of the Poocheyena. He hoped to cause the status ailment of paralysis on the dog, with his Thunder Wave. This dog had a ton of spirit and thatg was sparking something in Nick himself. The silent trainer stepped forward, still behind the ripped vines.
"Blow him away..." His mouth quickly shut. He was surprised himself. He communicates in battle, non-verbally after honing his new training style in the mountains. The Dratini continued to screech, but channeled his vocal chords into summoning a Twister! The orb on Dew's forehead began to glow a bright blue as a torrential twister was released forth in the direction of the dog.
Nick smiled as he watched the growth of his Dratini.

Poochyena ( Speed -1, Attack +2) ParalyzedHit by Twister Uses Sand Attack + Bite
The Poochyena yelped when a sharp crackle of electricity shot through his body, instantly going for his nerves and rendering his body completely motionless for three seconds. The twister was what actually got him moving, only in a bad way since it ended up spinning him straight into a collection of vines. Weakened and tangled up, the Poochyena snarled as his feet kicked against the vines, slowly getting untangled and landing awkwardly on his bum.
Ow.
<You better not think you can win so easily.> He barked, eyes glaring at the Dratini as he ran ahead. He made it appear as if he was going to go head first with a Bite attack, but instantly turned around at the last second and tried to skid just enough so some sand would've gotten in the Dratini's vision.
That being said, he made a snicker as he ran even more around the Dratini, attempting to be evasive as his eyes focused in on the Dratini's tail. A good look at the Poochyena would've told any good trainer that much. Without much else of a warning, he made a pounce behind the Dratini, attempting to Bite the dragon's tail.

The Poocheyena had an abundance of heart as he dashed for the dragon's tail again. Dew let out a sharp cry as he was enveloped in a bright red light. This battle was getting drawn out and this Poocheyena was coming hard. Power leaped from Nick's shoulder and rolled through the vines. The beast was like an acrobat with his tumbles and maneuvers.
His hands began to glow and his claws lengthen. Nick was mimicking a claw himself and brought his hand down. The Monferno leaped high into the air and narrowed his eyes as he prepared to use Fury Swipes on the dark natured creature. Pow had watched the battle and was ready for this little hound to be out of their hairs. One way or another he would end this.

Boooooooooooooooom! As the fiery monkey Pokemon swung itself forward to attack the little dark canid and the grey and black thing tried to get back to the ground after skidding into it. The trainer pulling the back that serpent with his Pokeball was a dirty trick, and the Poochyena knew dirty tricks. It wasn't the only one by this guy, though, as the little Pooch was soon assailed by the plunging missile like swings of the Monferno. It was sent spiraling backwards, kicking up dirt as it did. “That's...” it coughed up a bit of blood as it staggered up. “No fair...” and it was flashed back to to its younger days and be pummeled by a pack of Mankeys who were always taking it's berries. It remembered the days and days that it had been in a ditch, and it felt a chill down it's spine. These guys were even more powerful than those mankeys, and he knew it... that thing that had sent him spiraling was a mankey, wasn't it? A pit of fear filled the petite dog Pokemon's stomach, and it was almost sent into a shiver. It... was extremely afraid of monkeys, extremely afraid of them. And so it did the only thing it could do in the game of fight or flight, relying on it's species natural ability to run away to flee at top speeds deeper into the forest. ::Poochyena:: Used Run Away to Run away. Blade, Dew, and Power each gain .5 EXP. Blade's friendly Caterpie friend was struck fear by the Monferno as well, though, hiding against a tree at the sight of the fire upon it's tail. It was a ferocious beast, but hadn't said a word to her yet. The green bug watched Nick intently, hoping that Blade was released. The Wooper leaned against the tree as well, though for different reasons, as it look at it's stinging and slightly bleeding leg. The little blew newt like Pokemon tilted it's head towards the trainer, and then to the Caterpie who was it's number 5 customer. <Any trainer who's a friend of my Number 5 customer is a friend of mine! Do you have any berries or potions on you? I've got stuff to trade!> of course the little Wooper was just fibbing, it didn't really have anything to trade, but it stung so bad, and a merchant of its caliber wouldn't do well with a limp!

Nick returned his entire team after the dog fled. He was slightly upset that the beast ran away, but it just showed that his team was to be feared. They were a growing threat. His eyes lowered as he approached the Wooper. He sifted through his bag with his right hand as he removed a Super Potion. He sprayed the little Wooper hoping to heal it and maybe get some information out of the creature.
He lowered himself to eye level with the creature. He doubted any funny business, seeing the water-type witnessed first hand the strength of his Pokemon. But he made sure to keep the little Caterpie close too; it helped with his appearance as an ally. "What do you have to trade? I am looking for something to help me rip through this forest and any rarities you have." The trainer was interested in this merchant, perhaps there were somethings that would catch his eye. He was ready to get moving though, he did not want to get caught in the thicket of the darkness.

A McWooper and a Side of Caterpie { Wooper } Super Potion Used Saved
{ Caterpie } Can Now Go Home
<Oh, Wooper! You have no idea how worried we were! And...and...and! You're my only way home!> The Caterpie made a mad dash to her injured friend while Nick sprayed her with the Super Potion. Despite the stinging pain, she endured it with thankful eyes, apparently aware of the effects of human medicine. Of course she had to know, though, or else what kind of merchant was she?
<That was...really kind of you.> The Wooper felt bad that her selection at this time was rather low, but she did pick up one interesting item along the way. <He wants something to cut...but I'm afraid I can't get my hands on that item. The Pokemon near it are just...awful. They use the move recklessly.> The Wooper frowned, shuddering at her last experience dealing with those brutes. Next time, she was going to hire two bodyguards instead of one.
<And as for you! Did you get lost again? Hopeless, you're hopeless! Your house is right here, idiot.> She huffed, dragging the Caterpie to the same tree where she stored her merchandise.
<Oh, so it is.> The Caterpie blinked, watching curiously as the Wooper pulled out two items from a hole she kept in the ground, both were tiny, but one was pretty interesting.
<Like it? I got this baby from a Roselia. But I have a catch. I don't give things away, I trade. I'll take anything off your hands. Anything! I'm that grateful!> She exclaimed, hopping back and forth with the hopes of him understanding her meaning. It was a shame he returned his team, but maybe she'd let it pass if he just grabbed one item and ran.

Nick gave the Wooper a long blank stare. Yup, this was becoming his trademark. Unfortunately...he only understood his Pokemon - he could only piece together wild Pokemon's speech. It was like understand French, when you only know Spanish. You can figure it out a little, but comprehension is not at its peak. A tiny dragon was before him, his Bagon.
The Bagon quickly caught on and instead of waiting on Nick he jumped into his trainer's bag and withdrew a rare candy. Nick was curious to what Blade was doing as he watched the Dragon offer the damn candy! With speed equivalent to lightning he smacked and snatched up the little Dragon so quick!
Blade was kinda thrown off, as his trainer just hit him in front of the Caterpie. He felt so weak. The young dragon leaped back onto Nick's sack and began grabbing for the little candies. He ended up spilling them on the forest grounds. The alerted trainer sought to pick them up, but before he could he saw Blade with them gathered. The dragon winked at the Caterpie, trying to recover his cool points.
He narrowed his eyes at his trainer and then swallowed eight rare candies! The jaw of Nick dropped as he watched his hard earned candies ride down the little dragon's throat. He sighed for they were gone now. His eyes lowered until the shut to the darkness. A glowing light then emerged in the forest. Nick was shocked because his eyes...were closed. As he opened them he saw his Bagon glowing and evolving!
Bagon evolved into Shelgon! Blade learned Protect!
Nick was glad to see his Blade had finally evolved. The serious nature beast probably looked real cool to the little bug now. The trainer sighed and rubbed the shelled dragon as he threw the Wooper a Full Heal. Perhaps that would suffice for the Poisoned Dagger.

Trainer Gabrielle: Challenge?
{ Sunny } Level 22
{ Sprite } Level 21
The Wooper nodded in acceptance of the Full Heal, taking it into her selection of items while the Caterpie laughed at the Bagon's playful manner. So many sweet smelling candies, and then he gobbled them all up, evolving into some kind of dragon cocoon. Seeing that it was kind of dark in this place, the pair decided to rest up in the tree until it was a safer time.
----------
Two Ribbons! How marvelous! As the young trainer was walking through the foliage, dodging some of the roots that would've tripped her in her attempt to maneuver through the route. It wasn't the prettiest place to travel through, but it supposedly had the right kind of Pokemon for her contest battles. An adorable Pikachu would've been perfect for her team!
<Hey, hey, hey. You aren't thinking about replacing me, are ya? I'll have you know that I'm too amazing to replace.> A Roselia chided her trainer as she clumsily tripped over one of the vines, kicking at it while a Sunflora giggled in the background.
"We're getting more Pokemon on our team, Pokemon that can fight. Not like those weaker ones in the first two Routes." The trainer winked down at her two grass types, the Sunflora happily smiling at the arrival of new friends, while the Roselia huffed in annoyance. They didn't need new 'friends', they were fine the way they were. The grass loving trio! Why be greedy and ask for more?
"You know what? Maybe if we practice some of our contest moves, a darling Pikachu will be so amazed and run right over." Gabrielle giggled, even if it was a bit of a long shot.
<Yeah, yeah, yeah. A Pikachu! Hey Pikachus! Come on over! We want to be best friends!> Sunny the Sunflora cried out, slowly inching up a tree as her eyes scanned the area. She did see a trainer and his newly evolved Shelgon, which could've been interesting.
<Aw, shut up. We ain't gonna find a Pikachu that way.> The Roselia growled, crossing her arms stubbornly while Gabrielle giggled, amused at how helpful her starter was.

The giggles of a trainer was heard as Nick and Blade quickly averted their attention. Locally, there seemed to be another trainer. His nose began to act on his own as he caught a beautiful aroma. There were two Pokemon before her and they were obviously searching for something. The temperature was dropping, it was becoming a little chilly - looks like the winter was coming through the region.
"Contest moves?" The man questioned as he began to walk over towards the girl. He was quite interested in helping her; and yes all because she was the opposite sex. He had forgotten about his Shelgon and the Wooper and the Caterpie! "My name is Nick, how can I assist you?" The man was showing his chivalrous side, he was ready to do anything.

Gabrielle stood up at the sound of the male voice, alarmed at the sudden presence while Sprite took several cocky steps closer to the boy, not exactly happy with him being here. It was true that she might not be much taller than his shoe, but she was like a fire cracker; small enough to look innocent, but hot enough to make you burn.
<Nick? Nick? What the hell kind of a name is that?> She huffed, resting her red rose on her hip while the other was left to freely dangle at her side. Sunny slipped down from the tree, actually finding the human quite dashing.
<I think he's quite lovely, a fine catch indeed! And look! A Shelgon! Hello there, draggi waggi!> The cheerful Sunflora laughed, playfully wrapping a leaf around the Roselia while the other waved in an overly friendly manner.
"Gabrielle." The girl smiled, playing with her brown hair as it blew back from the winter chill. Her Pokemon didn't sense a threat, or at least, weren't being crazy protective. Besides, he did have a nice look to him. "I was trying to find a Pikachu, and I was kind of hoping they'd be attracted over here if I practiced some contest moves." The idea seemed silly now, especially when she was talking to someone so...attractive.
"You'd help me?" She asked, eyes glittering with hope. If the male was as kind as he looked, surely he would help her out.
<I think he's an ass. But ok.> The Roselia sighed, sensing a bit of romance in the air. Ugh. It was ok when she did it, but seeing others play the love game was sickening.

"The best way to reveal and attract is through the passionate arts of battle." Blade nodded at the Sunflora who seemed delighted by his evolved presence. This was shocking to the trainer as the girl was about to let Nick go first. Obviously she did not understand the strength of his team. But, he was doing this to help her show off some moves. "Show me what you got." He stated as he began to utilize his gestures. His battle style was all compiled of non-verbal communication, so this might be a little shocking to her.
The Shelgon narrowed his eyes locking them onto the little Roselia. Nick's arms began to twirl as if he was rolling some dough. The little Gible snickered as small grains of sand began to whirl around his body. Soon the forested area was covered in the twirling sand bits. The sandstorm would obscure the vision of his opponents, but also the trainers outside. Nick smiled because he knew the outcome of this battle now.
"The deepest beauty can pierce the darkest shrouds." The man spoke as he watching the sandstorm. He said this line because her moves would shine like gold, if they were actually worthwhile in this storm. If not, she still had some work to do actually. Blade was ready to attack, but would instead use Protect this round. He too would give this woman a chance to impress before showcasing his own strength.

Trainer Gabrielle: Contest Battle GO!
{ Sunny } Level 22 Hit by Sandstorm Grasswhistle + Razor Leaf on Kyo (and Blade w/ protect)
{ Sprite } Level 21 Sandstorm Captivate + Magical Leaf on Kyo
"U-Ugh." Gabrielle grunted as the Sandstorm whipped around her, making her hair loose and wild, as if it was attempting to do one of those hot 80s hair flips when big hair was the hot thing. Except she felt dirty, as in unclean, and her long skirt was whipping against her legs like crazy. Eyes trying to focus on the task at hand, despite the Sandstorm being so pestery, she thought she could still work in these conditions.
<Oh my oh my oh my! This sand cannot be good for my complexion!> The Sunflora squealed as the Sandstorm whipped at her body, while Sprite only grunted from the blow. She was focused, at least. Even if Sunny didn't want to act like a professional battler, she'd have to step it up soon.
"Protect, I take it?" Gabrielle noticed the familiar shimmer of the special defense technique through all of the sand. Attacking the Shelgon seemed pointless, so going all out in a stunning performance would've been suiting. The Gible wouldn't be happy about it, that much she could bet. "Sunny, set the mood with your song. Sprite, captivate our audience-- the Gible, if you please." She ordered with a light tone of voice, trying to remain positive despite her bad hair day.
<When I think about the sun, I have so much fun. So when the night comes to play, my dear, can you be my sun and stay?> The Sunflora began to sing her romantic melody, attempting to lure the Gible to sleep as golden musical notes escaped from her mouth. They danced around her, and as her leaves started to swirl around, weaving the musical notes into a straight line, she sent them towards the dragon with a content expression.
<Heya, big guy. Wanna dance?> The Roselia put extra emphasis on 'dance' as a rose rested on her hips, giving the Gible a suggestive wink. A sweet pink aroma seemed to waver in the air as pink hearts slipped out of her eyes, gently going with the flow of the musical notes as the hues began to shine to a variety of sparkling colors.
"Now, spotlight! Double leaf!" She exclaimed, pointing right at the pair. The Sunflora let out a gleeful cry as she stopped her song, dancing around in a circle as a swarm of leaves were shot out at both the Gible and the Shelgon, showing off its good range in double battles. The Roselia let out a musical trill as she raised her red and blue roses into the sky, absorbing some sunlight as they started to change into a mysterious rainbow color. Right then, she pointed it straight at the Gible, shooting off unavoidable leaves at her opponent. The contrast between the normal green leaves and its bright colors was an interesting sight, truly showing off the diversity between the grass types.
