"Damn, cold world..." The trainer spoke as his eyes connected with the snake's. There he stood lonely, and frozen in his tracks. So many thoughts raced through his mind, too bad he could do nothing about them. How would his Pokemon battle without his signaling. Obviously the crooked snake picked up on his battle style and now the trio was forced to battle alone.
The blades of Katana would clash as the serious natured beast took action. He held his left limb high and intercepted the acid taking the burning pain. He crossed his blades as he began to use Focus Energy. The angered bug narrowed his eyes as he charged with a glorious beacon of light behind using Quick Attack. He planned to harass this little Ekans for what he had done - he will suffer!
On the other side, Dew used Agility to avoid the paralyzing glare. The snake like creature began to stockpile energy as the Acid came forth. The beast then released the Dragon Rage towards the purple acid to intercept.
Meanwhile, Rumby continued to roar in pain from the cold fangs. His mouth opened wide as he released another Screech. It was easy to notice this rash creature's rising anger. His bind grew tighter as he raised his tail high. "Onix!" He cried as he slammed his tail on the earth with the cuffed Arbok. The rash beast had no specific orders so now he would probably continue to use Rock Throw until he falters or Arbok does.

The Arbok was beginning to look a little tired, but it wasn't anything he couldn't handle. There were three intimidates in effect against the trio, handicapping their opponent's physical moves. The only issue was the Onix's boosted attack power, which was somewhat scary for the simple snake. He might've been poison, but this was a giant rock snake they were up against. At the most, he slithered out of the way of the Screech attack. The rock throw was too overwhelming to dodge, and he ended up getting hit pretty hard from it.
<Not so lucky here...I don't even know if my toxic body is ready.> He hissed, feeling a need to retreat as he stared at the much larger opponent. The Arbok could still hang in there, and his buddies were still sticking around. For now, he'd keep the party pumping.
The Dragon Rage instantly absorbed the acid and made it cancel out, harming neither Pokemon. However, the Ekans took the chance to lunge at the dragon snake to make a Bite attack on its tail. The final Ekans was struck by the Quick Attack, and it got him really hard. Even a critical hit! But shed skin kicked in, and his paralysis was lost. With a confident smirk, he sprayed a long distance Acid at the Scyther and Onix. How do they like him now?

Their solo efforts were getting them no where really. Without the coordination of their trainer the serpents were all falling apart. As Katana raised his blade he felt his body immediately stop. He was overwhelmed by the intimidating eyes of the snake. Damn, he was once again caught in the paralysis of the snake.
To make matters worse he had to stand an enduring the pains from the Acid spewed by the Ekans. Things were definitely not on a good note right now. Dew was affected too, but was definitely in better shape than his friend - Katana. The serpant looked towards his trainer and looked deep into the eyes of Nick. His eyes then reverted to Rumby, who cried in pain from the teeth of Arbok.
"Dra!" The little Dratini cried towards Rumby. The eyes of the dragon narrowed as he darted towards Katana and the Ekans in critical condition. "Draa!" The dragon was taking charge. Rumby bellowed and released a Screech towards the Ekans. He tightened his bind and lifted the purple cobra. An orb of energy formed as Dew fired a Dragon Rage straight for the injured Ekans. Rumby roared as he mustered his strength to lift his tail and use Rock Throw. He aimed to bring the Arbok in his clutches smashing into the Ekans, to kill two birds with one stone.
The team had to have the back of Katana who initially took up for Nick and this whole team. Team Nick - they had spirit!

Luckily for the Scyther, no attempts at knocking it out were made this turn. Instead, the threesome of serpents wanted to focus their energy on the opponents that could move and make attacks. The Dratini made quite the distraction with its fancy Agility, distracting the Ekans on the left especially. <Sssstop that.> He demanded, only to hear a loud rumbling sound right out of the Onix's mouth.
That single Ekans was instantly bombarded with attacks; the Rock Throw taking advantage of his lowered defenses, and the Dragon Rage which took him out without a problem. Now if they rinsed and repeated this tactic, they could probably win without too much of a fight.
<Get him first, you fool.> The Arbok ordered with a glare at the remaining Ekans. It shuddered in fear as it shot a weak, but potentially defense lowering acid at the Dratini and Onix. In double battles, it had a pretty good range. It just couldn't quite reach the Scyther though, a shame. With the Acid out of the Arbok's way, he charged at the Dratini with a Crunch prepared for its soft underbelly.

The eyes of Nick watched as the unsuspecting Dratini was focused on it's prior prey. With Nick's orders he would be aware of the charging Arbok, unfortunately the dragon was completely oblivious. The man trembled as his mouth opened. "Dew!" Nick exclaimed. Although he was breaking the paralysis, it was too late. The serpent was caught in the jaws of the Arbok and the damage was critical.
Rumby was obviously moved by this, as Dew was the first to take lead and get the trio a win. The rash snake looked towards Katana and then towards his critical teammate. "Oni!" The beast bellowed as his body began to glow. He was using Swords Dance - he was about to pin the tail of this Arbok's ass. This was the coming end. His body slammed the earth and a fury of rocks and mixed earth exploded from the grounds in a mass. They were aimed at the Arbok. The Shadow Onix used Rock Tomb - he was ready to bury this Arbok to rest. Dew saw this as a chance to escape and would use Twister!
The whole field would be engulfed in the draconian winds. The little beast would slither away, but his body would be stopped. Dew's eyes lowered as he realized he was poisoned - thanks to the Acid by Ekans. Nick began to move his hand and pointed at Katana. His stern index finger would hopefully inspire the bug. "Oni Oni!" Rumby said trying to get through to Katana as well.
This was one of the only efforts where the team had to use verbal communication. However, the Ekans better be prepared as the Scyther narrowed his eyes and raised his blade slowly.

<NOOOO! MY HISSSSTORY IS RUINED.> The Arbok hissed as the boosted Rock Tomb and the Twister combined into a storm of wind and rocks. It banged against his body until he was left hopeless in the grass, alongside another bewildered Ekans that was taken out due to the force of the twister.
It was true that they were taken out, and the serpent's plan was ruined, but their opponents looked fairly bad. Paralysis would need some kind of item to heal, and their health was low. Critical, even. Perhaps staying here the night would be in their best interest?
The air was calm as Spring weather settled around them. Nothing seemed to bring about apparent danger in the safety of the vine houses.

Nick slowly began to feel his body in motion. His fingers twitched and his arms began to quiver. The man pushed as he reached into his pocket for his three Great Balls. The young man would push his body to softly release these orbs towards the three fainted Pokémon. Would his actions be a success.
*Mod's Decision if Nick breaks paralysis and successfully captures*
The rock snake would softly wrap Katana in his tail as he brought the bug over towards Nick. Using his last, Dew would slowly drag himself towards his trainer. They were all battered in some way by the grueling snake trio, however they battled and came on top. The spring breeze was delightful to the proud trainer. He looked around and no doubt he would tell his real friends from the fake ones.
A mental image of Team Death arose. Truly, he could not decipher if those guys were true of false. Hot or cold. He did know he was a member, and whatever direction they went he would go too. Hopefully, he would find the purpose for such - one day.
For now with the predicament he was in, his only option was to rest and recoup. Half of his team needed to recover and he himself need to regroup before they finished up this route.
ooc - yes i did claim the spring promo.

Pokeman Easter!
"Wonderful show!" A female voice spoke in plain english, but as the figure revealed her slender figure, it turned out to be a very bright pink Lopunny. She winked at the trainer as movement sunk into his body, granting him access to choosing one of the gifts in her basket. "Poor dears, so tired out from all of that battling. The candies I have here should be able to heal them a bit, but they have...side effects." She giggled a little as the rising moon illuminated her hazel eyes.
"Torchic!" A small, fiery bird chirped from within the basket, bringing attention to the gifts within it. The Lopunny raised a paw to her mouth, as if she just realized something, then extended the gifts out to Nick. "You can only pick one gift, sir. Do choose wisely." She nodded, thinking that that was all that needed to be said.
<And happy easter!> The Torchic added, a but oblivious to the state of Nick's Pokemon team. Oh well. He was always kind of off in his own little world.

Well damn, what a great time to come around. The trainer barely had his mobility back, but he would take the time to decipher this. Maybe there was something good in it for him. The candy was tempting, he was big on raising his Pokemon to get stronger fast.
He looked at his team and replayed the battle in his head. Although they were battered they all performed excellently. Levels could wait. Surely the elders of the team would love someone new to raise and have underneath their wing. "I'll take the egg." Nick said breathing intensely. He smiled at the Torchic who wished them all a Happy Easter.
The trainer smiled as he hoped good fortune would soon come his way - as he would rest up and begin his embark on the rest of this Route. He had weathered the storm, so without a doubt he was going to search every nook and cranny.

Ms. Easter Bunny ! The easter bunny nodded and performed a polite curtsy to the trainer, smiling pleasantly. "Excellent decision, dear sir." She said politely, reaching into her basket and gently placing a round, orange egg in front of her. Then, almost comically, her ear twitched and she took a step to the side to listen to something. "It seems my work is unfinished." She said, smiling. "Enjoy your gift, sir."
With that, the shiny Lopunny turned and stooped to ready herself. The Torchic riding in her basket waved to Nick before the bunny took off on a running start, then hopped high into the air and Bounced off the ground to the next waiting trainer.
Obtained.

Morning!
Nick rubbed his eyes as he felt the rays of the sun pierce through the forest. He had been in this forest for days now. He looked around and noticed Rumby, his Onix, was still awake. Nick smiled and rubbed the huge rock snake before returning his safely to his orb. He stood tall recognizing he had full motion in every body part once again. It was a sigh of relief.
The trainer tugged his belongings as he prepared to explore this route. He assumed his stay here was long for a reason, so why not simply accept it for what it was. The vines were no longer a concern, with Arbok present there was bound to be more Pokémon of the Dragon Egg Group. So, a little exploration would not hurt.
The exploration begins...part two!

<Uh...um...> A small whimper appeared from behind the bushes, and an orange puppy peered out from the safety of the area. Nick and his team looked pretty happy out here to her, and she normally wouldn't disturb them. However, there was a slight issue with the place they decided to stay the night.
Her bone was buried around here, and she really wanted to get it. The problem was that the human couldn't understand her, most likely, and she was terrible at dealing with them anyways. It was very possible that she'd run away at the hint of a battle, not liking to deal with violent situations when she was guilty of doing something.
<M-My bone is...is around here. C-Can I get it?> She asked, lowering her ears and tail with a submissive look. Would he please let her by, to just do her own business?

Pokemon sure did like to talk to Nick. He turned to see the short little Croagunk holding something shiny in its palms. He could not decipher what it was, probably the angle and sunlight making the object too bright. Cautiously he approached to see what was in the hands of the beast. "Hm?" He decided to give an auditorial response, so the Pokemon would sense he was more so curious than dangerous.

The sickening feeling that knowing your attacker had some kind of internal enrapture as the blood fest began. The strife as the Croagunk would fall in his dream, leaving him completely. helpless.
By then? He never got past that. That was when he woke up and vowed to not sleep. Eventually he had to sleep, but he wasn't the same since. The item that he had in his hands? It was an odd pair of broken glasses. Careful not to cut yourself on the broken lenses.

<Hmth. Say I'm useless. Say I can't do anything.> A low voice grumbled to himself as he hacked away at the vines with his Fury Cutter. It was easy to get to certain parts of the route with the move, but he could never leave by going through the area with the thickest of vines. He made his cuts with accuracy and precision, knowing exactly how he wanted to make each cut.
<They'll learn. Oh ho ho. Just watch and learn from the master, boys.> He almost seemed insane as he made another cut through the plant life. The Kricketune didn't have that much for plants, it seemed, because he was so destructive as he moved along. Someday he'd learn that Cut move, and with the help of a tip, he happened to know the person that could teach him.
The problem was that it meant talking to strangers. Why was that a problem? He wasn't used to it. It freaked him out at times. He even felt as if the stranger was uncomfortable with him around.

"He's cutting through!" Nick said as he saw the Pokémon cutting through some fairly weak vines. All his prior encounters were lackluster, but this one here maybe worth while. He withdrew a Pokeball and launched it forward.
The happy ape looked towards Nick who was pointing at the Kricketune. "Ral, find out if he can get out through this forest." Nick instructed. The golden ape was quite hyper in his movement as he ran towards the bug. He would relinquish his flame, appearing more non-threatening. Of course, he could not simply go over. Oh no, Ral had to put on an act.
He would leap towards some vines grabbing them with his tail. His hands would then grab hold of the parellel lines as he grapple high. Above the Kricketune he would let go and his feet would make contact with the trunk of a tree as he slid down. Finally he would kick off onto a vine, and with excellent balance slide towards the cutting animal. Yes, Ral was quite extra right now.
"Hey do you know a way to get through the forest? My trainer and I are trying to get to some strong Pokémon!"
Looks like Nick might be in a whirl of trouble thanks to Ral's mouth. The hyper creature probably wanted to have some fun and adventure - battle some strong monsters. Getting to the town could wait for him.
