Zus frowned, the Remoraid wasn’t doing anything, well he didn’t think it was. Resa watched for a moment as Zus just stood there. “Ok Zus, try and Leer, then Thunder Wave again.” Zus really couldn’t do anything while the fish was in the water, he only could use Thunder Wave. Resa sighed and rested on her hip, she didn’t know what to do with the battle.

The Remoraid had been expecting another attack like this, for it was the only attack that was actually hurting the Water type. With lowered defense, it still felt bold enough to try something different to dodge this type of attack.
Not as nimble as before, it was still able to successfully leap out of the pond as the Thunder Wave struck, its eyes shining with a look of pride as it soared into the air, its long tail curling around to prepare it to dive back into the water. Making a big splash in the process, the Remoraid stuck its head above the water, already having a charged attack that was ready to be fired. This choice of attack? Another Psybeam. Sending a rainbow colored beam at the Electrike, or the specific spot on its side that it had been aiming for. No particular reason, it just wanted it to hit on the biggest spot possible.

Zus was about to attack the Remoraid as it jumped out of the water, then eh was hit with the attack. Zus sat there, unsure of what to do. He looked around, confused. He looked up at Resa, then back at the water. "Oh!!" Resa shook her head. Zus couldn't understand why Resa was so upset. Had he done something wrong? He didn't think he did a bad thing. +Did I do something wrong?+ He asked the Remoraid. +Did I say something mean?+ He frowned.

Thinking that the Electrike was suffering from a side effect of Psybeam, the Remoraid refused to reply. For who knows what kind of babbling it would be forced into, and even worse was not knowing when the other Pokémon would come to its senses.
Though if it had to guess, the girl was just upset that Zus had taken another hit. Which he should be trying to avoid as the Remoraid shot a swift blast of water at the Electrike type. Not taking the time to aim with acute precision as it let out its Water Gun.

Resa rolled her eyes, she almost gave up on Zus; untill he got shot by the Water Gun. Zus yelpt with alarm. He blinked for a second, then realized what had happened. "Zus, if you can understand me, try and Thuder Wave." She muttered. Zus looked up at Resa. +Why couldn't I understand you?+ He growled. Turning around, Zus focused back on the battle. +Whatever.+ He muttered, then sent his Thunder Wave attack at the Remoraid. +Can't understand you, I'm not stupid.+

The Thunder Wave struck into the water and almost instantly the Remoraid found itself in the near faint zone. Water had the ability to amplify the normally harmless Thunder Wave, and it had taken its toll. The long battle appeared to be coming to a close, but this was a gutsy little fish.
Its eyes glitsened as it eyed the Electrike from below the surface of the water. Though it felt like it was hidden, it certainly was not. Apparently, from the way things were going. Preparing for one final attack, the Remoraid began to use Lock On on Zus.

Zus growled and tried to think of something to do, all he really could do was another Thunder Wave. +Ok,+ He sent out a Leer then attacked with Thunder Wave. Resa just stood by and watched, she really wouldn't be able to command Zus, when he set his mind to something, he wouldn't listen to her advice right then. Resa just watched and waited for the battle to finish.

The lowered defense didn't help to strenghen the damage of the Thunder Wave attack, since it was more of a special attack than one of physical power. The fierce look of concentration that the Remoraid held gradually turned into a weary face.
Its facial expression lossened as its eye sight began to become blurry. Now there were two Electrike's, or were there three? It was hard to tell, as the Thunder Wave came to a close. The fainted Remoraid floating up to the surface, with swirls for eyes.
Zus gains a level, capture?

Resa threw out a pokeball, she really liked this fish type and wante dot keep it. "Great job Zus!" Resa then called him back and smiled. "That was a great battle." She tucked Zus's pokeball away and waited so she could capture the Remoraid. Maybe it would come in handy some day.

The Pokeball nearly missed its target, only the tip of the Remoraid's fin brushing against the smooth surface of the Pokemon container. The extremely sensitive Pokeball opened up upon contact, and sucked the Remoraid in within seconds.
Bobbing in the middle of the pond, many of the native Water types peered from their hiding places at the sudden silence. Only seeing a dreaded Pokeball on top of the surface to know that one of their own was about to be taken away. In a group, they silently bowed their heads as the red and white sphere finally stopped shaking.
You have captured~

Resa reached down and pulled out the pokemon, she noticed the other pokemon watching. "Oh," She then realized she might have taken one of their friends. She frowned for a moment, then tucked the Pokeball away. She'd take care of the pokemon. Resa stood up and walked long the pond for a moment, then turned and walked down the path. "Maybe I shouldn't have taken the Remoraid." She muttered, but it was a little late to let it go.

The mysterious water pokemon keen eyes continued to pierce at the trainer as she tucked the pokeball away. Soon a mysterious mist appeared around the pond of water. As the mist disappeared a Mantyke revealed itself.

Resa didn't notice the pokemon untill the mist started. She gasped and looked around. She really couldn't see anything, and that wasn't the best thing when you're near a pond. So, she just stood still and waited. When the mist rose she saw the pokemon. "Oh!" Her eyes widened. "Hello," She whispered, unsure if this pokemon was mean or kind.

Mantykes were usually friendly Pokemon by nature, and this one didn't seem to stray far from that statement. It had, however, created that Haze earlier as a way of protection. Its eyes seemed to glow as the water type gave a friendly smile at Resa, bowing its head shyly.
The two antennae seemed to twitch as it hesitantly swam close to the girl, but kept a fine distance between the two so no direct contact would be made. It seemed to want to say something, but it couldn't quite say the words.
"Tyke..." It cooed, a dissapointed look in its eyes as it looked down to the ground in a submissive pose.

Resa couldn't help but smile at it. "Hi there," She knelt down, seeing the Mantyke wanted to keep distance, so she scooted back a little. Her bright blue eyes sparkled as the water reflecting sun. Resa loved water types, they were so cute!!!! "Who are you?" She softly asked, trying her best not to frighten the pokemon.

Still a little frightened by the girl, the Mantyke seemed to relax a bit when Resa went down to its eye level. The girls appearance seemed to change dramatically when she smiled, whoch seemed to calm the water type down.
<I-I'm the Remoraids friend.> It spoke softly, afraid that it might somehow offend the girl. After all, they seemed to have gotten into the battle willingly. It was just so fast though, it hadn't expected its pal to dissapear so quickly into that Pokeball.

Resa continued to smile untill she heard the Remoraid was the Mantyek's friend. "Oh!" Her smile vanished and a sad frown came int oher eyes. "I'm so sorry!" She pulled out the pokeball. She really liked the Remoraid, but friendship was more important. "I think I can release it," She whispered, her eyes pained. She held the pokeball in her hands softly, but she couldn't seem to let it go. She didn't want to. Resa had grown so attatched to the little water type, she loved it's spunk, and it was hard to even think about releasing it.

<N-No! > The Mantyke cried in a burst of emotion, swimming a right next to Resa to try and habd back the Pokeball to the girl. Up until then, it had realized just how close it was to Resa and immediatly squeaked in surprise, creating some distance between the two.
<Fair's fair...I saw the whole thing...And she didn't seem to mind being captured. I think she had fun, fighting you. I-I just was so surprised to see Remoraid dissapear.> It mummured, blushing from the sudden burst of emotion. It was actually beginning to feel a little awkward talking to the human, why did it even come here in the first place? All it knew that it was pure instinct to try and meet up with her.
<Is she alright in there? Can she breathe?> It suddenly asked, squinting its eyes at the tiny Pokeball in Resa's hands. Surely she had to be safe, or else trainers wouldn't put them in there. Yet it felt compelled to worry about the Remoraid.

Resa was shocked bythe Mantyke's reaction. "Oh," She set the pokeball in the water so the Mantyke could see it better. "Oh yeah, She has all the room in the world, and lots of air." She nodded. Her eyes watched the Mantyke. "Was she a good friend of yours?" Resa asked, she really hated tearing friends apart. Resa dipped her fingers into the water, touching the edge of the pokeball. "She's really safe in there, and very comfortable."

The Mantyke felt strange seeing the Pokeball simply float on the water's surface, and make a strange cooing sounds to show it. Not knowing what else to do, the Mantyke gave a thoughtful look over to the Pokeball until pressing the button on the Pokeball.
That was how it opened up, right? It had to be sure once and for all that the Remoraid was alright. It needed to hear it with its own ears to know, because one couldn't rely on the words of a stranger for everything.
<R-remoraid?> It questioned, waiting patiently for the Pokemon to come outside.
