Resa frowned. Se didn't know what to do. There was lots of water. "Well..." She scanned the bank. "I could look for holes and stuff that you could have come up from." Shrugging she stood up. "If you want, I'll be right back." Quickly she sized up the Dunsparce and walked over to the bank. There couldn't be that many holes the Dunsparce could come out from. She quickly searched around. "Ok, no holes smaller than it, even the same size would be very tight." She muttered while searching the holes.

As Resa was wandering around the edges of the watery areas, a Pokémon unexpectedly flew out of one of the nearby holes in the ground. A water type that was much slimmer than the Dunsparce, but that only meant that it could create the tiny holes around them, not the ones the Dunsparce could make. Like that mattered now, because it was a rather angry Barboach.
The water/ground mix jumped straight into the air, aiming to splash water in Resa's face before sliding to the ground. Letting out a grunt as it shot out a Mud Slap as it fell, kicking up mud at the girl's face.
The Dunsparce was much too far away to notice any of this, with its eyes closed it sat numbly next to the tree Resa was sleeping against. Giving a shudder as the warmth of the sun covered i ts body, perhaps the land above the dirt wasn't as bad as it thought it was. It was still bright though, much too bright.

Resa screamed and jumped away from the water and shook the mud off. She was shocked. "What the?" Seeing the Barboach she glared. "Fine," Resa dug in her pocket for a moment then pulled out a pokeball. Dropping the ball she sighed. Resa wasn't in teh mood for another battle, but whatever. A Taillow cawed as she was released and tilted her head when she saw the fish. Was it dinner time? The Taillow jumped into the air and flew around, circling the water. "Veav, Peck," resa called. The Bird pokemon tilted it's head to the other side and dove towards the fish. +Oh, good, dinner.+ She chirped and attacked with Peck.

The Barboach felt its body shudder at the turn of events that had taken over. There was a bird, and it looked like a worm. Now this would be a funny turn of events, wouldn't it? To make matters worse, it didn't know any good attacks that it could use to attack the flying bird.
Crap! Crap! Crap! It thought in a panic as the sharp beak stabbed it multiple times against its slimy body. Shrieking in respone, the water type slid deeper into the the water for shelter from the Taillow. From underneath the surface, it glared at the blue bird. Well, might as well try to hurt it! Its thin head poked out from the pond, blue whiskers floating on the blanket of water as it launched a harmless looking Water Sport at Veav.

Veav screeched at the Barboach. +Come here little worm, I just want to play for a little, you can be free after that.+ It's tone was full of faux kindness. He tilted her head again at the Water Sport. She wasn't going to roast it to death, just eat it raw. "Veav, Growl, then Focus Energy, get ready to Peck again." Veav Let out a long Growl to raise it's spirits then focused his energy on teh fish pokemon. He was hungry and was going to get dinner, very soon. Resa quickly looked over at the pokemon she had left. "I don't think there are any holes you can climb into t find home, they're all very small." She told it.

The Taillow's teasing nature was really beginning to tick the Barboach off. Instead of aiming for another one of its non damaging attacks, it aimed to use one that usually doesn't hit birds. Unless its close enough, however. With the thing getting ready to peck at it with Focus Energy, the Barboach slipped into one of the holes.
Despite the knowledge that ground wasn't good against birds, with the knowledge that its attack was lowered, with the knowledge that the next attack from Veav would hurt, it made its next move. Covering its tail with the moist mud in one of the holes, it leaped out of the water, shaking its mighty body to shake the mud off and onto the Taillow. It was an accuracy lowing Mud Slap, possibly the best offense and defense move it could do.
The Dunsparce winced at those words, and muttered something incoherent to anyone that was nearby. It was just a temporary loss, it wasn't like it had a family to go back to or anything. It would just have to make another hole, and start digging until It found something familiar.
<Maybe its farther up ahead?> It suggested, while trying to remember what was nearby when it came up. Nothing out of the ordinary, sadly.

Resa frowned and tried to look for the holes that the Dunsparce could go in. While Resa was busy Veav was at a loss. +Resa, help!+ he cried as the Mud Slap hit him, this just made him even more mad. "Oh, Peck!" She cried. Rolling his eyes, Veav launched himself at the fish as it came out fo the water, maybe it could swallow it whole. He dived in with his Peck, trying to break up the water types body so he could eat it. "Oh Veav, don't eat it!" Resa tried to tell him, but he wouldn't listen.

The Dunsparce snorted in its impatience because it was getting absolutely nowhere, and began slithering closer and closer to the girl to help her search for its home. Its drill like tail was feeling around the ground as it stood right next to her, sniffing along the edge of the pond to try and pick up on its own scent. Not like that would work, because it was so used to its own scent that it wouldn't be able to sense a thing.
The Barboach made an angry grunt as it landed back into the pond, staying close to the surface of the water as it swam into the deeper areas. Keeping a steady eye on the Taillow, though unable to hear a word of what he was saying. Stupid bird...
Then he was pecking at it again! Breaking through the surface of the water and right at its flimsy skin, actually picking its entire body up from the safety of the pond as it cried in worry. Helplessly, it let out a Mud Sport to try and make it stop. Maybe a mouth full of dirt would shut it up.

Veav dropped the fish pokemon and cawed as the mud hit him. +Dumb fish.+ He spat out the mud and zipped around. "Veav, Peck again, but Growl first." Resa commanded as she continued to look at the ground. "I can't find it." She muttered. Veav flew in a cirle, Growling a few times before he shot towards the water type again. +Veav!+ He cried a couple times. The Taillow peckd at the water a few times before jumping away and coming back. +Dinner is searved!!+ He shouted.

Being so high up in the air, the Barboach could feel its skin drying out as the harsh wind blew against it. Not comforting it in the least as it made a painful landing as it landed sideways into the pond. Wincing it its pain, the Barboach stuck its head out of the water to catch an angry Taillow circling it. Everything was going on so fast, that it couldn't keep up with the feathered avian.
In seconds, it was floating on the top of the pond in a fainted condition. Having suffered one too many pecks as it stared blankly at the bird. Just wishing that it wouldn't be serious about eating it.
Battle over. Veav gains a level, capture or move on?
The Dunspare let out a sigh at Resa's words. It supposed that there was no getting around it, it would have to get off its lazy butt and make a new burrow. This time, it would travel so far away that it would avoid the pond at all costs.
<Ugh...Just great.> It snapped, beginning to start its long journey away from the pond. Centimeter by centimeter. Just squirming its way away from the scene. Yeah...It was a sluggish Pokemon, and it obviously wasn't getting anywhere anytime soon. Too fat for its own good.

Veav wass about to dive in and eat the fish when Resa called him back. "Sorry, but no." She shook her head and stuffed the pokball away. She watched the Dunsparce for a moment. "Well, if I can't be of any good here, I need to get going." She told it. "I guess I could digg if you want me to, but I'm not very good at it." Her watery eyes were concered, but she did have to get going. There were many things she still needed to do.

<Just go...> It muttered, sighing as it finally reached the tree it sat under earlier. Just beginning the easiest part of digging the hole. Within seconds, its tail drilled a nice little area to sit in. Though it wasn't safe from predators yet, it would soon start working on the actual tunnels. It was actually working much faster than it did by walking. Digging was something that they were born knowing, and their survival depended on it. As long as the sky was clear of birds, it seemed alright to leave the Dunsparce. New Pokémon has appeared!Falling to the ground like a bomb, the strange looking Grass type made a triumphant grin as it saw Resa. How could've it been sleeping the entire time here, and not know that a human was nearby? Such fun this would be, because it had been eager to evolve from a plump little Seedot, to a ninja like Nuzleaf. <You, human girl! I challenge you to a duel!> It called, hopping left and right from the bustling energy that was inside it. Never stopping the constant jumping, he waited eagerly for an answer.

Resa was a little tunned by the Seedot's request. "Oh..." She frowned and nodded. "If that's what you want, alright." She was a little staggered by the challenge. She took a step back and pulled off her backpack. Never keeping her eyes off the little pokemon she dug around for a moment. "Ok," she glanced down then pulled out a pokeball. "Ready when you are." She told it. As the ball dropped from her fingers a Wolfeth flew out. It looked around for a moment then locked it's eyes on the Seedot. "Um... Vollu, Arial Ace." Resa commaned, a little confused still. The Wolfeth smiled and dove at the Seedot with an Arial Ace attack. The wid whipped thorugh her dark black feathers as she attacked the Grass type.

The sight of the flying wolf made the Seedot even more eager to stand its ground. In fact, it wanted to do its best to try and intimidate the dark type by using Growth. Now a little taller and fatter, its special attack was raised, but that didn't stop the impact from the unavoidable Aerial Ace. Knocked back wards into the tree, it slid down in a daze to only catch a glimpse of the flying Wolfeth.
<Lucky shot! Just wait until you see this!> He cried, gathering up the energy of the earth around it. Forming a giant Nature Power, that randomly turned into Seed Bomb from the tall grass around them. Giant seeds were launched like missiles, trying its best to hit Vollu.

Resa screamed and ducked narrowly missing a seed that flew towards her. She looked up to see Vollu land on the ground just in time to get hit by a couple seeds. The wolf pokemon barked in alarm, trying to right herself again she growled softly. "Oh, Vollu Roar!" Resa cried as she stood up. Giving a grunt the Wolfeth pushed herself up, a large welt growing on her right shoulder. Two dark eyes burned with anger towards the little Seedot. The dark type found her footing and stood her ground while she let out a long Roar.

Letting out a startled cry of alarm, before its eyes it saw the calm and battle eager Vollu change into a terrifying beast. Savage and dangerous, she was just the type that would eat up a tiny Seedot like it. Making a run for its life, it dashed behind the tree it fell from. The large bark was more then enough to cover its entire body, pressing its acorn like body against the rough bark, it peered from behind to see Vollu halting her attack.
With that over with, it could only shudder to itself. Was it brave enough to go out and face the dark type? After that Roar, it didn't have the need to fight anymore. Evil Wolfeth...Must hide... it whimpered to itself as it was left flinching from fear.

Resa watched the Seedot as it got scared. Her eyes softened and she sighed. Vollu on the other hand was having fun. She growled and her fur stood on end. Vollu stalked towards the small pokemon under the bark. +Come, out, come out.+ She snarled, waiting for her next command. "Seedot, do you want to stop the battle?" Resa asked. "Vollu won't move untill I tell her to." She told it. "If you want, we can call it off now and you'll be safe." The promise was true, Resa would call her pokemon off. Vollu wasn't happy with this but she understood, still standing still and growling.

The Seedot sniffled a couple of times from the spot it was hiding in. It hadn't expected such a terrifying roar, but after getting some time to get itself together, ti felt like it was ship-shape for continuing the fight.
<I should be alright. I really want to win, and I'm no quiter.> It muttered as it ran out from the shelter of the tree trunk. Preparing itself by shaking its body rapidly, sucking out the life force of the area around it.
Forming it and molding it to its preference, it used another Nature Power on the Wolfeth. Once more, it turned into a Seed Bomb, sending thick seeds in various directions. Hopefully it would be able to hit Vollu, and none would hit the girl.

Vollu's eyes sparkled as the seedot said it wanted to fight. +Oh good!+ With a single beat of her wings she darted into the air and waited for Resa to command her. +I hate when a pokemon gives up. But you won't win.+ Vollu promised.
Resa nodded to the Seedot. "Alright Vollu, ready? Good, Tackle!" She called out. And the dark type foled her wings and dove at the Seedot with her Tackle. She kept her eyes on the small pokemon, taking a couple of seed bullets as she went. One of them hit her welted shoulder and Vollu let out a cry of pain.

The Seedot snorted at Vollu's little comment, but didn't reply. It was simply concentrating so hard on its seed bombs, that it didn't have the time to spit out something other than a seed. Then there was the Tackle attack, that sent it spiraling into the ground. Skidding as a pile of dirt grew larger and larger as its body was pushed back, until it slowly came to a halt.
It appeared battered and worn out, but there was a mysterious grin on its face. Perhaps it had a plan to win the entire fight? Walking right on top of the dirt pile behind it, it gave a playful wink at Vollu.
<Do you really think I'll let you win that easy? But, because I'm so good, you can hit me nice and easy.> It said in a tiny singsong voice. Not even realizing that it was rhyming, but as soon as it did it cheered in its mind. 'I'm a poet and I don't even know it.' Giving a chuckle at all of the childish amusements, it started a Bide. At first, it only looked like it was standing up there shivering, but it was really concentrating on the pain that it was about to receive. Getting ready to build up on all that was supposed to happen, because if it didn't use this move now, it wouldn't survive another chance.
