A blue hat seemed to be floating along, coming up a small hill, as the hat got to the top of the hill, you could see that the hat was on top of a blond haired girl. Resa had her hands in the pockets of her jeans and she walked along the path. There was a small pond nearby and Resa walked over to it, walking along side it as she trudged down the path. She had eyes the same color as the water, deep crystal blue eyes. If you looked at them too long you would seem to fall in and drown. Sighing, Resa started to slowly skip along.

One of the Pokémon that resided in the pond caught sight of Resa. Something about her made the water type curious, and slowly made its way through the blue waters. Whether it was the slow walk she made around its home, or the look of her eyes it couldn't be sure of. Making it to the shallowest part of the water it could stand to be in, it swam along the girl casually. Giving her occasional glances, but a bit too shy to really say anything to her. The fact that she was a human made it wary, which was also keeping it away from getting too close to Resa.

Resa glanced down at the pond, seeing the pokemon, she really didn't bother it at that time. Continuing to skip, Resa became more and more aware that the fish pokemon was following her. She stopped skipping and knelt down by the water. "Hello," She sang in her most kind and gentle voice, trying not to scare the pokemon. Her eyes were soft, she was in a very good modd at the time. She made sure she wasn't too close to the edge of the water, not wanting to frighten the pokemon, showing that if they pokemon wanted to stay away from her, it could.

Though a little stunned that Resa had seen it through the pond's waters, the Remoraid quickly regained its composure. Little by little that is, and slowly swam to face the girl with its curious eyes.
<H-hello.> It stammered out, the girls kindness and friendliness making its speech a little more awkward than usual. Scolding itself mentally, it tried that again.
<Hi, what brings you around my humble home? Or, ours I guess. Since I share it with a bunch of fish.> It motioned to her, a little deeper in the pool. Indeed there you could see a giant school of Remoraid swimming about , their silver sheen barely noticeable from the suns reflection in the waters.

Resa smiled at the fish. "Hi, I'm Resa." She nodded to the Remoraid. "Oh, I was just passing along." She shrugged. "I'm a trainer, and was looking for pokemon." She told it. "Are there many of you?" She asked the fish pokemon. "Oh!" She watched the silver fish swim about. "Are they your family?" She peered at the school, then back at the fish she was talking to.

<A trainer? No wonder that your looking for Pokémon. I guess its part of the job.> It chuckled a bit until it noticed Resa's interest in the other Remoraid. It had never saw them as anything special, seeing that it lived with them its entire life.
<Family and friends, it gets a little crowded sometimes though. At least the ponds are connected to each other, or else we wouldn't have room at all. To live, I mean. > It was actually referring to a chain of underwater tunnels, that seemed to connect all of the ponds and lakes in the Route. At least to the Remoraids knowledge.
<So by looking for Pokemon, you mean looking for battles, right? > It asked with a hint of curiosity in its voice. Perhaps it would be able to help her out, since it was pretty tough for a Remoraid.

Resa smiled. "Yep." She listened to the Remoraid as it told her of all the Remoraids in the pond. "Battle, yeah, that's what I'm looking for." She shrugged. "But, I don't think I'll find any pokemon tough enough to fight me." She sat back and looked down at the Remoraid. She was teasing the pokemon, maybe she could get a battle out of it.

Getting a little insulted at Resa's small teasing, the Remoraid's face turned a bright shade of red while it looked the other direction. Oh, it was sure that she wasn't saying that it was weak. It was certainly not weak, but it couldn't go out in a random outburst. It would be out of character.
<Funny, I was thinking the same thing. > It spoke slyly, deciding to change the direciton of where the insults were supposed to go. Anywhere, really. As long as it wasn't the one being teased.
<Of course, I don't think there were ever any good Humans around here either.> Now it was just faking, but it kept a sincere voice. In its head it was laughing out loud, just waiting to see what Resa's reaction would be.

Hearing the tease in the Remoraid's voice, Resa smiled. "Well." She shurgged. "You've just found a good human." She tilted her head. "I'd love to battle if I could find a pokemon who could beat me." She drew circles in the sand as she waited to see what the fish pokemon would say. Ajusting her hat, Resa looked at teh ground for a moment, then turned her gaze to the Remoraid.

Seeing that Resa wasn't going to be the one to ask for a battle, the Remoraid took it upon itself to be the challenger. Seeing that it could only swim up so close to the girl, it gave a toothy grin.
<I think you've just met one.> It quickly, turned farther away into the Pond so that it would have enogh room to swim around. It would be pretty bad to start off a battle if you were stranded like a Wailmer.

She smiled and stood up. "That's just what I wanted." She backed away and pulled of her backpack. She knelt down and dug in it for a few moments. She pulled out a pokeball and frowned. She'd never fought a water type that was in the water. She dropped the pokeball and a Electrike stood there. "Come on Zus, this a going to be a very different battle." The electrike looked at the Remoraid and smiled.

The Electrike seemed rather friendly despite its ferocious looks. Mainly the teeth that caught the Remoraids eyes, but it basically had no idea that the Pokemon was an Electric type. Which would prove to be a dangerous situation for it, and any Pokemon that was living in the pond.
Deciding to start out the battle by sizing up its opponent, it began to focus very hard on the figure that rested on land. Using a Lock-On to place an invisible tracer on the Electric type. To ensure that its next attack would always hit.

Resa frowned. How was she going to battle like this? She sighed and called, “Zus, Thunder Wave.” She tried. Zus frowned and walked to the endge of the pond. He blinked for a second, and then tried to use his Thunder Wave and attack the Remoraid. He was afraid that he’d hurt more than just the Remoraid. Resa bit her lip and stepped away from the pond, she didn’t’ want to be anywhere near the water when the attack hit it. Zus let out his wave of Thunder and growled.

The Thunder Wave seemed to be successful, quickly reaching the water and instantly hitting the Remoraid. It cried out in pain from the Super Effective attack, it was actually doing damage because the Pond was amplifying the attack. The other fish in the water looked about in a frenzy, disturbed and pained by the burst of electricity. They weakly saw the Electrike from below the surface, and knew that they had to escape. There were underwater tunnels that they would be able to find temporary shelter, and quickly went over to hide in them.
The original Remoraid looked injured, but dedicated to making at least one attack hit. Gathering up a burst of Psychic energy, it shot out a Psybeam at the Electrike. Only it had to halt at the middle of the blast, because of the effects of Paralysis.

Resa covered her mouth when she saw all the other pokemon quickly flee. "Oh dear!" She bit her lip but looked back to the battle. Zus stood there as the beam hit him, kind of. He seemed a little confused and looked at Resa with confused eyes. "Oh, Zus, Try and...." She didn't finish. Zus turned back to the Remoraid and jumped at it with a tackle attack, in the water? Resa lept to grab him, but missed, landing by the water and shaking her head in frustration.

Hopefully Zus didn't realize that the Remoraid in the water was a couple of inches away from where it really was. Though it didn't seem the case, because the Water type became alerted to his presence by the gigantic splash in the water. It was a trick of nature, involving light and water. Refraction, it was supposed to be called. Not that the Remoraid knew, it always remained in the water.
The Thunder Wave's effects still lingered in the fish, but it could find the ability to swim a little farther off, just enough so it wouldn't get harmed by a physical attack. Then it sucked in some of the pond water around it, expanding its body so it was a quarter larger than usual, and shot out a Water Gun at the Electrike.

Resa started to laugh as Zus hit the water. he hated water, once he figured where he was, Zus was panic. Sure enough, shortly after hitting the water Zus yelpt out. He tried to swim back to shore, but not after he was hit by the Water Gun. +Hey!+ Zus laughed. He swam to the shore and shook himself off. Resa stepped back, trying not to get hit by the water. Zus turned around and shot out another Thunder Wave attack at the water, hopefuly all the animals were hiding.

The Remoraid's eyes quickly danced upon Zus once it noticed the electric Pokémon take a risk at diving into the pond, but swiftly laughed once he noticed Zus had leaped back out of the water. <You really need to watch that Thunder Wave!,> The Remoraid stated with his shaky, but yet sly voice. The Remoraid was once against struck by Thunder Wave Attack, now leaving the Remoraid paralyzed and it's body a little more damaged.

Woah, major confusion over here. -eyes turn into swirls-

The Remoraid nodded at the Electrike, seeing that it would be rather polite to let the Pokémon get onto the shore before trying to let out another attack. It was a little insulted, the annoyance shown in its eyes, that he had laughed at getting hit by a Water Gun. It thought that it used one of its best attacks, though to be fair it lacked attacks so any of them seemed good.
Thankfully, this Thunder Wave didn't hurt any of the other native Pokémon. They had been expecting another Electric attack, and simply watched from the edges of the pool for the battle to end. Some of the wild Remoraid were even cheering on for their friend, who received more damage with every attack.
Wincing from the pain, the Remoraid tried to make use of at least one attack. For the paralysis's effects were kicking in again. It was the purpose of the attack, after all. Weakly, it began to take aim at the Electrike with Lock-On.
