Unable to stop from its head on attack, the Makuhita found itself struggling to walk around with the worst headache its experienced in years. Clutching his head like a Psyduck would, it walked around with no purpose. Only to try and regain the balance it had when it was in full health, instead of this weak state it had fallen into.
To regain its lost focus, it stood still. Only its legs were trembling in the freezing snow around him. When did it get so cold? Why was the weather hurting him now, of all times? Gathering all of his energy together as a Focus Energy, he ran forward again. Certain of himself in attacking the Seedot with another Arm Thrust.

The armthrust hit makuhita hard and sent him back a few steps. "Ok seedot" cried King. "Jump on to it's head and dodge whenever it tries to attack." This would hopefully make makuhita hit himself. For most pokemon this would only work the first few times before the enemy caught on to this strategy. This would only work if makuhita was still too angry to stop attacking. It also had small arms which would make it easier to dodge.

<Grrr...> the makuhita growled lowly. As he noticed the thing atop its head. There wasn't much thought in his head except for to get the thing off. He considered throwing his arms up and just trying to hit the little seedot, but that thought was quickly tossed aside. Instead he came up with a new idea. He thrusted himself forwards and did a sumersault on the ground. There was no way the seedot could have stayed on through that. The makuhita backed itself up against a tree and focused his energy once more in a Focus Energy. Hopefully he could use this horrible headache to his advantage. Just simply turn pain into anger. And anger? Well anger in most cases made you far more agressive and stronger.

King finally decided that he would have to recall seedot. He sucked the small acorn in to it's pokeball and ordered tailow to go out and fight. "Tailow, use focus energy and follow it up with peck." That way tailow might be able to equal makuhita's power. Tailow's only advantage was his speed.

As the Makuhita sized up its next opponent, it smiled as it thought about its next victory. Though it wasn't really thinking much because it was still angry. Angry? Right, that meant no more smiling. Growling and raising its arms up in the air to frighten off the Tailow, it made a 'bring it on' motion with its hands as the Peck attack hit him.
The strike was super effective, but he wasn't done with that bird Pokemon. So it would fly away, he punched down at the bird with his Arm Thrust attack. Expecting to pummel the Tailow into the ground with his mighty rage.

King grinned. This was where tailow's speed was useful. "Tailow, fly around makuhita's arm and use peck again at it's unprotected face." King thought that this really was a powerful Pokemon. He couldn't let makuhita know this however. "Wow. You must be sooo proud about beating a little acorn. You're soooo strong" said King, hoping to anger the makuhita to the point of clumsiness. Seedot burst free of his pokeball and slammed into King after he said this. King dropped to the ground, winded, and seedot stood looking triumphant.

There the bird was right infront of him and he was about to throw another fist towards it. But then it seemed to disappear. Little did he know that it had merely flown around its arm. This makuhita really didn't have the best of vision. The peck got him right in the face, causing him to nearly fall over. He didn't over course because then he would have looked like an idiot. He felt this strange pain shoot throughout him. Was he really nearly out of energy? He wouldn't show it like a normal pokemon. A normal pokemon would have been all bruised and panting. He wanted to, but he was too determined to not show his weakness. The only bad news was that he could only deck out a few more attacks. His energy was running too lowly. He found himself in a strange disorientation and began to stumble slightly, a small side-effect of loss of energy and strain. Not knowing what to do, his arms began to flail around in the air in multiple Arm Thrusts. He couldn't see the bird so perhaps just random attacks wherever might hit it.

OK! Now it's personal. "Tailow. Fly straight up into the sky and then come down spinning. This will gain speed for a peck attack." If this worked then he would have to risk throwing a pokeball.

((Please tell us when the attacks hit or not. ^^' I'm assuming it did, but it still helps to mention it clearly. ))
The Makuhita held one of his hands up to block the sunlight, blast that Tailow. It was flying right into the sunlight where he couldn't see him, only a dark shillolette that dissapeared whenever he blinked.
Now not only was he stubborn and angry, he wasn't thinking clearly either. Where was this bird going to strike next? He knew he heard King saying some very specific directions earlier, but he was having trouble remembering them. Something about gaining speed for a 'something' attack. It was too much for the fighter, for that headache from earlier was only getting worse as the Tailow made its mark right on his head.
The shockwave from the attack spread around like wildfire, super effective to the bone. His mouth was left wide open as he felt the wind knocked out of him and was left to stand there for seconds that seemed like hours. Only a small gasp of air could be heard before the Makuhita fell to the ground in a faint, all energy was exhausted on the flying and grass types.
All Participating Pokemon gain one level. Catch the Makuhita?

King grinned and spun a pokeball on his finger. Something told him that makuhita could be a major power house. It was too good to ignore. King threw the pokeball and watched as it glinted in the sun.

The unconsious Makuhita was sucked into the Pokeball without the energy to get away from it. Heck, if it fainted how could you? Putting up practically no fight it was captured the moment it entered the Pokeball. There it lay, sleeping in the snow for King to take.
Species: Makuhita Name: Type: Fighting Ability: Thick Fat Level: 8 Attacks: Tackle, Focus Energy, Sand Attack, Arm Thrust Gender: Male Personality: Takes training seriously, and if faced with a weak opponent it will refuse to battle. Prideful and quick to anger, it might be hard to control when insulted.

King let all of his Pokemon out to see how they reacted to each other. Makuhita sneered at seedot and growlithe before smiling at tailow. He then went and started practicing his arm thrust against a tree. Growlithe lost no time in making friends with seedot and tailow. Although the latter two were not particularly friendly with each other, they didn't dislike each other either. King saw what makuhita was doing and seemed to like the idea. "OK everyone. Training time. Tailow, fly between those trees to raise your agility. Growlithe, use ember to try to make that flat stone as hot as possible. That should make it more powerful. Seedot, erm... use harden and then try to bash that log to pieces. You'll have to get pretty hard to do that. Makuhita,... err, you keep doing what you're doing now." King watched as the Pokemon did what they were told.

Nearby a different pokemon was training intensely. The dark winged pokemon was flying in and out of trees very similar to the taillow. It was perfecting its speed and sensory. Sense zubats had no eyes, they were often found slamming into trees if uncareful. This zubat did not wish to be like those other zubats and trainer its ultrasonic waves often. It sent them out continuously to get a good picture of where the trees were. But it wasn't really expecting other pokemon to be here.
When it was too late, it sensed the taillow. But too late was too late. It slammed right into the bird pokemon as it dodged through the trees. It began to fall towards the ground before catching its stance once again. If this thing had eyes, they'd be narrow and staring right at the taillow.

King heard a thud and looked up to see tailow facing an angry zubat. King recalled it, which he knew would earn him tailow's cold shoulder for a while. He sent out seedot instead, knowing that it needed training. All of seedot's strategies were counter-strategies so he couldn't do anything yet.

When the Tailow dissapeared into the Pokeball, the Zubat was left scanning thin air. Wondering just when the bird had dissapeared, and why it hadn't been paying attention in the first place to when it left. Instead, its sensitive ears detected another Pokemon coming out into the open. Approaching it, but not attacking. It wasn't like the Zubat could see that it wanted to battle, so it ended up just flying in mid-air while keeping its sonar locked on the grass type.
<Hey, you better watch it. > The Zubat warned, before realizing that this Pokemon might be the perfect battling companion. To get a hang of flying through tree's without crashing, or dodge attacks for that matter. So without warning it swooped down to attack the grass type with a (hopefully) super effective Leech life.

King knew that zubat come close to use leech life so his quick mind thought up a strategy. "OK seedot. Use harden and jump in to that thing's mouth. That should break a few teeth".

If the energy wasn't constantly being sucked out of the Seedot, then the Harden might've hurt. It would take more than a single harden to really hurt this Zubat, it thought as it clamped down on the Seedot.
Hungerly it began to try and suck the life force out of the Seedot withLeech Life, hoping to take more of that juicy life force out of the grass type. How its stomach wanted this yummy substance.

King smiled and ordered seedot to use harden again, and then to use bide. He wondered what would happen next.

Feeling like it was at full enough health to do whatever it wanted, the Zubat let go of the Seedot without the hunger it had earlier. Though it planned on eating later, when the Seedot planned on attacking it.
Now it was time to test out its other attacks, flying up into the air for several moments before swooping down in front of the Grass type with a startling battle cry. Even going far enough to try and ram into the Pokemon with its Astonish.

King realised that seedot couldn't fight zubat and recalled him. He then looked at growlithe by his side and asked if he wanted a go. Gr owlithe ran forward eagerly and used ember before King could give any orders.
