King cursed the synthesis attack and wished that they were in the shade of the nearby trees. Then he got an idea that would cure the synthesis problem and leave Pip a sitting psyduck. "Use bite to trap it in your teeth as it comes at you growly. Then hurl it into the branches of a tree. Hopefully it will get caught in the branches.

Grunting in frustration at how slick the Growlithe was when it came to attacking, the Hoppip found its tail stuck in the fire type's fangs. It had tried to turn away at the last second, but it was simply not enough.
"Hurry, Tackle it when you can!" Roxie shouted, and Pip squeaked in agreement. Whirling around to tackle its body into the Growlithe, if it could reach it, before finding that the Growlithe was trying to throw it farther away. Instead, he slammed her into a nearby tree trunk. Wincing a bit as she slid down the tree, and safely onto the ground below.

King grinned. "Ok. Use ember while it's on the ground. It can't use synthesis while it's under that tree so we have to try and beat it quickly"

Roxie smiled at the other trainer's train of thought, how naive a person could get. Oh well, that would only make the part where he gets shocked more amusing. Watching as Pip got covered in another ember attack, she felt that her health was dangerously low by now. To the point of exhaustion, she looked at her trainer for aid. For she didn't believe that she could do anything on her own by now.
"Synthesis." Roxie said, calmly. Expecting her Hoppip to be fully healed while under the shade of the tree, glowing a dimmer light than before, the Hoppip regained some of her lost health, but it felt like a failed attempt. Weakly, she stood up to face the Growlithe as a knight with a dragon. Except this was a weak knight, against a ferocious beast of fire and fang.
"Now, Tackle!" Roxie ordered, her voice not showing much sympathy for the condition her Grass type was in. Waiting for results with improvement, as the Hoppip ran towards the fire type, perhaps for the last time.

"Use ember as many times in a row as you can" cried King. Since hoppip was coming right at growly, it might do even more damage. He had to admit that he was getting bored.

ooc: You know, your Growlithe has to get attacked sometime. =p
BIC:
The Hoppip felt the pains of fire for the last time. Collapsing to the ground with a light ember still burning at the tip of her tail, and her leaves occasionally twitching. Otherwise, she looked pretty much fainted and out of the battle.
Roxie sighed in response, that had lasted a good while, but not it could've been better. With a swift movement of her hands, Pip was returned safely into her Pokeball, and Ski the Surskit was sent back out.
"Give it a scare with Quick Attack!" She ordered, relying on the Surskit's speed now, in case the Growlithe wanted to attack it during the time it was attacking. With agile speed, and grace that he was simply born with, the Surskit glided through the grass and mud. His tiyn legs making every step come much faster as he attempted to strike at the fire type.

OOC: I'm not saying it doesn't get hit. I'm just saying that King tries to do some damage. It doesn't necessarily have to work.
The quick attack hit growlithe hard. King smiled and recalled growlithe. It had been a good battle but now the odds were against him. He sent out seedot and ordered him to use bide. He grinned, wondering what would happen now.

' A Seedot? What does that boy have planned...The only attack is knows is 'sit around and wait til' I faint'. ' Roxie thought, a smirk placed firmly on her face as she watched Ski mimic the same smile.
If that was how their opponent was going to act, then they would respond accordingly. But, that was a Bide attack, wasn't it? That would be pretty hard to counter, because they couldn't just stand still and out bide them.
"Use Bubble, as many as you can Ski!" Thats what she would do, take out small amounts of Health at a time to avoid the bide attacks major damage, then use their strongest attacks to knock out the Seedot.

King laughed and used his backup plan. "Seedot, I know this will sound crazy, but I want you to bang your head against a tree as hard as you can." Seedot looked at him questionally but, ignoring the bubbles, he walked over to the nearest tree and started hitting his head against a tree (which is also his body when you think about it).

Roxie grumbled to herself when she saw what King was doing, they were trying to inflict as much damage on the Seedot as possible, but it needed to gather the energy while standing still. That was the whole point of the attack, right? So maybe it wasn't as bad as she originally thought.
"Stand still, and get ready to dodge the next attack." She warned Ski, who nodded an affirmitive nod. He wasn't quite sure what these two were up to, but if his trainer said it was bad, then it was bad. Getting in a crouching position, the Surskit was eager to run away at the command.

King grinned and said "Show them that you can throw a mighty punch seedot." cried King. Seedot took this as the signal to release the energy and obeyed his interpretation of the orders.

Roxie watched with intent eyes as the bided energy came out, it had turned the Seedot into a ticking time bomb, and they were about to experience some results. Around them were some bushes, and an occasional tree, but one thing that caught her eyes was a dead log lying nearby.
"Use Quick Attack to escape, behind that log!" She cried, pointing right at the log so Skii wouldn't have to look around first. Using the speed he had been gathering up from the past turn, he sprinted off, farther away from the blast as he hid behind the log. After the energy settled down a bit, it peeked out from the tip of the log, only to see a smokescreen of dust and dirt. Great, now he couldn't see Roxie, and she couldn't see him.

King thought about his plan. "OK seedot. Use harden and then slam into that tree. Hopefully a branch will fall onto that surskit." Seedot glared at him, unsure whether this recklesness with his healt was because King thought he was strong or because he thought he wasn't strong enough to be of use in a battle. He decided that it was the latter and wanted to prove otherwise. "Watch this!" he said in Pokespeak. He slammed into the log at full strength. He willed it to roll onto the surskit. He had taken King's plan and given it higher hopes.

Out of the cloud of dust, the Sursket saw a small shilloette come straight at it. Only one Pokemon came into his mind, and it wasn't one Ski was excited to see. Thinking that it was trying to tackle it, it ducked under the cover of the log. Of course, that was part of the Seedot's plan. Unfortunetly for the Sursket, he soon found himself stuck and trapped under the gigantic log. His thin and long legs sticking out, but remained motionless. Roxie gasped at the sight of her precious water type, and withheld tears. Knowing full well that it was out for the count, and returned him at once. "Hmth, rude..." She sniffed, holding back a tear as she ran off into the distance. All participating Pokemon gain one level. Blending in with a patch of flowers, decorating the grass with their lively colors, was a tiny Grass type. The leaves upon its head resembling a weed, but in reality it just wanted to look at the gorgeous red and white flowers. Not hurt them, as a weed would do for survival. <Oh, I think there's a pink one.> She jumped in excitment, weaving her way through the wild flower garden to sniff the pink one. Instantly she became excited, and on pure impulse let out a Sweet Scent. Pink air was released into the air, and began flowing through the forest. Its scent was irresistable to Wild Pokemon, and tamed Pokemon alike.

King released growlithe and called seedot over to him. He hugged them both deeply when suddenly they started going crazy. They struggled against him and eventually growlithe bit him. King gasped in pain and dropped them both. He managed to recall seedot but growlithe was too fast. He ran away and by the time King caught up with him he was nuzzling the oddish friendlily.

The sweet scent began to fade away into the air, becomming as clear as it once was. The scent was only faint by now, and that was because it was still radiating off of the Oddish. Confused by this sudden reaction in the fire type, she couldn't help but blush as Growlithe nuzzled against her long leaves.
<Hello there, um...I'm not a flower ya know. Not that pretty.> She spoke in a hushed voice, but paused when she looked up at King and gasped. He was so tall, and looked like he could step on her if he really wanted to.
<Is he a friend of yours?> She asked the Growlithe, backing away quietly with uncertain eyes. If it was true, then they were probably going to try and attack her.

"Oh yes he is. Don't worry. He's not as dangerous as he looks and he won't attack you if we're friends." said growlithe happily. He then proceeded to tell oddish about the other Pokemon, and how most of them were very happy with him. "Seedot's never happy and makuhita's got attitude problems but other than that we're all happy"

<Your friends with a Makuhita?> She asked, a little bewildered at the fact. She was friends with one once, and they proved to be the most loyal of friends. Much nicer than the other Grass types around here, anyways.
<It must be nice to live on the road. I've thought about it, being with a trainer, lots of times. But then I think that I would get homesick, so I stay a wild Pokemon. > She commented, her leaves tilting lower to the ground as she thought about it. Though she enjoyed hearing about the Growlithe's adventures on her home route.

Growlithe's smile faltered a little. "Yeah. I miss home sometimes too. It's not to bad though. Staying with King is like having a second home." he told the oddish. "And there's lot's of friends to play with." he added.

The Grass type felt herself perk up at the explanation, now that the Growlithe pointed that out, it certainly didn't sound as bad. A second-home, wouldn't it be like being reborn? She heard of the expression, and giggled out of the blue because she always wanted to use that expression. In her head, or not.
<I bet, sounds like the life. > She sighed softly, her voice sounding like it was being carried away by a dream. Thinking it over a little bit even more, she recalled that King was a trainer. It was possible for her to join their crew and live the life she wanted.
<How about I go with you? I think it sounds like a lot of fun, so maybe I can help out.> The leaves on her head reflected her mood, cheerful and excited. Jumping up and down near the Growlithe with pleading eyes.
