<He looks tired…> The Lotad noticed out loud as the green orbs of light came back into his large lily pad leaf, giving him much more health because of all of the damage Nosepass received, but alas, it was barely even a quarter of that damage. So the boost wasn’t as great as it could be, but that edge was the only thing he needed to endure all of these powerful tackles the Nosepass gave him.
“You’re doing just fine…” Mary Jane complemented from a safe distance, she sensed that Lotad wasn’t used to battling against such harsh opponents. It was why he didn’t like to charge or lash out as the other Pokémon she once saw on television. She closed her eyes as Lotad got rammed into once more, it seemed with each defense boost, the Nosepass’s attack seemed to go up even more. Lotad was able to tell at least, getting into a pouncing position while his opponent was still nearby, just about to use an ‘Absorb’ with glowing lights surrounding him when MJ intervened.
“Use Astonish.” She said it as if she expected her Lotad to obey the very moment she uttered a command. She was getting a little used to bossing her Pokémon around, it made her feel good to be the leader.
“Lo?” The Lotad couldn’t help but complain to that one, since his timing was all off now. Guess that she was paying attention to him after all, he would’ve been happy about that if he wasn’t feeling so flustered. Letting out a sharp cry to scare the nose off of the Nosepass, which probably wouldn’t do much of anything by now, but the flinch possibility was still there.

The Nosepass flinched at the sudden sound, and now he hated being himself. For he wasnted to conver his ears but his arms were too stubby. He stomped around in an angry fit, <Darnnit darnnit darnnit!>
He used Harden again and could feel his defense go up as high as it could. Then he moved forward, using the only effective move he knew.

Lotad grimaced at the Nosepass’s sudden temper tantrum, taking a safe distance away while the giant rock took his time in making another offensive move. Flinching and hardening was enough time to get an early absorb ready, green lights buzzing around him like tiny fairy’s fluttering around his body.
’Here he comes…’ Lotad thought, getting nervous with each step the Nosepass made toward him, the earth vibrating from his harsh stomping. There really wasn’t anything he could do except wait until the attack hit him, because he needed the time to charge his absorb up before thinking of shooting it out.
“Lotad, you better move…I’m not kidding…Get out of there.” MJ fidgeted around in her spot, trying to think of what Lotad was trying to pull. He was getting to be quite stubborn, but she really didn’t want to see him get beat up because of her lack of battling skills.
The Tackle managed to crash into Lotad’s small body, shoving him roughly to the side as he shot out his parasitic glowing lights after the Nosepass before regaining his balance on the ground. All over the side of his body were scrapes and scratches from where the Nosepass tackled him, but he was hoping that some of the health boost would help that out.

The Nosepass was slightly confused as to why the Lotad wasn't moving, he was lumbering slowly towards him. An attack that could be easily dodged. The Nosepass felt a twinge of worry that the Lotad had something up it's sleeve, but he pushed the idea away. The Lotad was too dumb to acually do something clever anyways.
The small body of the lily pad Pokémon collided against his body. He barely felt a thing, but he knew it was a painful experience for the Lotad. Within seconds of impact, small green things decended upon him. It was a swarm of bugs, or that's what it seemed like. So much energy had been stored up, it was now unleashed upon the Nosepass like mad.
Blinded by the glowing orbs, he felt the world slide to the side as the swarm sucked him dry. Already low on energy, he finally collapsed with a grunt. As he toppled over to the ground, the world shook with a tremor. It was simlair to a tree falling. The Nosepass was fainted, his health ebbing away as the orbs now transferred the energy to the injured Lotad.
Congrats! Lotad gains a level! Capture or move on?

OOC: Hm, was that out of character for the Lotad? Ah, and Mesprit should gain a level as well. She did manage to put up a fight before switching out. -nodnod- BIC: Lotad was looking better than ever, but that was his second fight in a row and he was rather tired. The health boost returning to him made him let out a yawn as he returned to the side of his fainted friend. Nudging him gently to try and wake him up from his slumber. <Dude? Dude? Dude! You can’t sleep now, you’ll waste the entire day.> Lotad complained, trying to shake the Nosepass into awakening. Yet his tiny arms couldn’t quite handle that task, lifting all 213.8 lbs of him was more than enough to make him give up. He looked a little worried though, occasionally sending the Nosepass a glance before looking up at Mary Jane, who caught his attention. “He should be fine. The guidebook says that Pokémon that faint still have the energy to perform HM moves, such as Strength, Surf, Cut, Rock Smash…And everything else in here. So he isn’t as lifeless as you think. I think he’s just faking it ‘cause he’s embarrassed. “ She mumbled under her breath, thinking the situation over before realizing that Lotad still might be tired from after that last battle. “You did good Lotad, but don’t pull that kind of stunt ever again. I mean, what were you thinking? Getting yourself hurt on purpose like that…” She sent him a glare, making him shrivel up in place as she returned him back into the Pokeball. ’Great, now I’m all alone…Except for Mr. Nosepass right next to me. ‘ She sent an annoyed glare at the fainted Nosepass before sighing, what was she do to now? She didn’t want to catch him, and he was a big guy, he could handle himself. <Miss…Miss Human?> A strange feminine voice rang out to her, at first she was a little confused, but quickly pulled out the source of the sound. “Frenchi?” She questioned, holding the Pokeball out in front of her to see her minimized Ledyba right in front of her. Suddenly she had an idea, popping the Pokeball open for her Ledyba to come right out, stretching her wings out a bit as a yawn was let out. <I’m hungry…And I wanna return to my berry nest.> She explained, buzzing around her new trainer with apprehensive eyes. She couldn’t be sure to trust this human so soon, not after being attacked so roughly the last time. “Food? Uh, I have some! Where are you going? Wait up!” MJ cried, chasing after her food deprived Ledyba as fast as he could. All of the items in her pockets were shaking up a storm as she struggled to keep up with her Pokemon, through the trees and bushes, and they weren’t even on the path anymore. Oh ho ho, no! It was long gone. <It’s here somewhere…I know it is! I won’t let any of us starve! Including me!> The Ledyba cried out, buzzing frantically to find some fresh berries for her collection later on.

ooc// Okies. Mespirit gains a level as well. Right Pedobear? DO I GET YOUR SEAL OF APPROVAL? BIC// Sadly, the poor Ledyba's search would be in vain, for there were no berry bushes anywhere near where the two were going. All that could be seen was a vast forest, with debris littering the spaces between the trees. Sticks and stones and other miscellaneous items lay strewn across the forest ground. It was a wonder Mary Jane didn't trip. Pokémon cringed back as the trainer raced past them to involved in her frantic chase to notice the many eyes staring at them. A slow moving West Gastrodon and his Caterpie friend were heading across the forest in search of something of interest. Within moments a Ledyba buzzed over their heads, and the Gastrodon stared curiously stopping in his tracks to gaze at the panicking Pokémon. Another sound soon followed, stomping footsteps came their way and the two screamed as the trainer stormed towards them, feet threatening to crush the two. ::gastrodon::

OOC:
YES HUN, YOU GET IT ALL!
and omg, Gastrodon are only 2 feet tall. I thought they were actually big and stuff. -gulps-
BIC:
<Where are they? I can’t believe they aren’t here! I KNEW they were here! In this very spot! I live here you know!> The Ledyba cried out, over and over in a pained squeak. Her wings were beating furiously to keep her fast pace and her thick body high up into the air, mercilessly flying through tree branches and leaves, shoving them to the side until she rested on a spot on the ground. Whimpering in self pity as her body was sprawled out against the dirt path, nearly defenseless except that Mary Jane was not far from her.
Actually, she was sprawled out on the ground too. A couple of inches away from Frenchi’s face, her breathing was just as harsh as it was while she was running. Never in her life had she ran that fast. Not even Gym could compare to the physical activity she was put through in this single day. What in the world had happened…?
“What was that pink thing?” She groaned, placing a hand on her throbbing head, she had to get on her knees in order to get a good view of the situation. Her jacket felt heavy against her, the summer’s sun coating her body in sweat, the most she could do to fight it was take of the ski cap, stashing it in her pocket while glancing at the Pokémon she tripped on. She didn’t necessarily ‘step’ on it, just kicked it before falling face flat into a patch of wild flowers. The dirt road was long gone, and she really had no idea where she was at this point.
<The berries…The berries are gone.> Frenchi was still mourning for herself and her food supply. Which reminded her…
“Here. It was a gift from a TD guy.” She pulled out a plastic container, holding one of her Enigma berries inside of it. Pulling it out to show it to the Ledyba, her eyes quickly widened in surprise at the fancy designs swirling around its surface. She was a little hesitant in taking the new berry, not knowing what kind of flavors and texture existed inside, but munched on it in silence. It was like eating a bunch of rare candies, except it was much healthier, and it tasted amazing! Level 18 baby! And it felt like new things were now possible. MJ was told about the special properties inside of this berry, but had no idea just how drastic they were. She had a brief smile over to her Ledyba, patting her on the head before turning to the two Pokemon. Ugh. They looked terrified of them.
“Ehehehe…Did I do that?” She sweat dropped, praying to god that they weren’t angry at her.

<OH SHI-> The Gastrodon screeched to his friend as a foot smacked him in the face. It laid sprawled out on the ground in a dazed confusion. <Caterpie.... What the flying beevus was that?>[/color] What was a beevus? Who knew, remember this is a semi-unconscious Gastrodon here.
The Caterpie ducked into the grass as the human came to a stop, face first into the dirt. It turned to his friend with a gasp and pushed his buddy back to it... legs.... belly.. er... Stomach? <I do believe that it's a human.... Female to be exact.> Obviously it was the smarter of the two.
Both of them stared at MJ with terrified expressions. If she did any more of those kicks to the face they'd be squashed or disfigured. Disfigured Gastrodons and Caterpies didn't seem like a cute image since they aren't exactly the cutest to begin with.

MJ noticed the terrified expressions on the two Wild Pokemon and stared right back at them; she didn’t quite know what the right thing was at this point. From her pocket, her shiny Pokedex hung from the corner, silently begging her to be used to find out what these two things were. Whatever they were, they were pretty gross looking. They were small and feeble, probably not the strongest Pokemon around either. Nevertheless, she pulled out her Pokemon Encyclopedia to get a scan on the two Pokemon before her, a feminine voice popping out and startling Frenchi.
<Who’s that?> She questioned with another one of her fearful looks, all of her arms were huddled together to hug herself tightly. Anything to make her feel like she wasn’t in as much danger as originally thought.
“It’s the Pokedex.” She chuckled, flipping the machine to a close and snuck it back inside of her jacket pocket. She had a starter pack around there somewhere, but it was all scattered, a complete mess.
“Well, I don’t think they look like the battling kind. Do you?” She asked with a laugh at her Ledyba, who was inching closer to MJ’s legs for some type of protection. The large pink thing might make a good opponent, but she didn’t think that something like a Caterpie would help give her enough experience.
<I’m not the battling kind either, and somehow I got dragged in with you. You think I’m happy with just a couple of funny looking berries?> She complained while tugging against her trainer’s jeans. She didn’t like her, but she wasn’t afraid of the human either.

The Gastrodon, being the more cowardly of the duo, decided that now that the trainer was preoccupied, it was time to get away. Hoping caterpie would follow his lead, Gastrodon began inching backwards, still keeping his eyes on MK. Caterpie had a strange feeling this might make things worse, but didn't want to be left alone with this crazy trainer, and copied his pink friend, inching backwards, no visible legs to make noises that would give him away.

MJ chuckled at Frenchi’s quiet mumbling, getting down on one knee and giving her an affectionate pat on the head. It was interesting how the Pokemon actually felt, now that she thought about it, this was the first time she even touched the Ledyba. It was smooth cold, nice against her hands. If she had the time, she would probably stroke the Ledyba for hours until her hands pleaded for rest. Frenchi didn’t seem to mind the close contact, but kept an emotional distance from the trainer. Something that MJ could understand, since they had just met today, actually. Getting back up, she looked back to see what the Gastrodon and Caterpie were doing.
“Don’t mind us; we aren’t that desperate for a battle. If you’re going to leave, then leave.” She snorted at the two Pokemon with a stern face. Hopefully that would give them some sort of relief, and she could privately train with her team to see what they could really do. But if they weren’t that interested in leaving, then she would simply have to continue going the opposite way, in some sort of attempt to find out where the dirt road was.
“Frenchi.” She called without even looking at the Ledyba, her pace continuing through the light wave of bushes and trees. Certainly the foliage wasn’t as deep as she would’ve thought thank goodness that there weren’t any hills to climb. It was all pretty straightforward if you asked her. Frenchi perked up at the command, and fluttered along MJ’s side, her thick wings constantly buzzing as she trailed behind her.
“Maybe here is a good spot…Are you a good flyer, Frenchi?” MJ asked while leaning against one of the many trees around them. They had walked quite a while, with no knowledge of their position in the route. A drink would’ve been lovely then and there, but there was work to be done.
<I sure hope so. > The Ledyba commented with wide eyes, taking a rest on the ground to take a look up at her trainer, wondering what kind of meaning laid in those charcoal stones that were labeled ‘eyes’. Without wasting a moment, she released Esprit once more, the Mesprit did appear a little tired, having been in the middle of a nap, but she seemed happy to be out and about.
<Oh! Hiya! Who’re you? We’ve never properly introduced ourselves. MJ calls me Esprit, but I have no reason why. Is she really that lazy to say the ‘M’?> She giggled, flipping around in mid-air with her long tails flowing behind her. The Ledyba appeared surprised at her playful antics, and was rather shaken at the sight of a legendary being.
<I-Uh…She calls me Frenchi. I don’t mind if you call me that too. Good to meet you.> She replied with a hint of shyness in her voice, she really wasn’t in the mood to meet other Pokemon, but there was no getting out of this. Once the introductions were done, MJ instructed the two of them to practice flying around the woodland area. To get used to it, and try to avoid crashing into trees. With a nod, they got to work, though some were not as interested as the others.

The two retreating Pokémon froze as the trainer looked up at them, irrationally believing that she would now probably kick them. Again. Gastrodon was about to bow down and beg for forgivness when the trainer spoke up, a hint of annoyance in her voice: "Don’t mind us; we aren’t that desperate for a battle. If you’re going to leave, then leave.”
At this, Gastrodon whimpered in delight, and set off at a serious speed back down the track, leaving Caterpie to struggle along in her wake. "Wait!" Shouted the bug type. "What about Shell!?" At this, the big pink creature stopped and turned around, an unhappy look upon his face. "Ah." He grumbled. "Yes." The Gastrodon seemed to be torn between running away, and braving the Trainer to get to the one he loved, his darling Shell, the blue Shellos. Caterpie felt the need to say no more, and both began to crawl back towards the Trainer. Caterpie was hardly fazed when they passed, and was all for walking straight past, but suddenly he heard a rather strangled noise. And it was coming from Gastrodon. "Stand down, human!" He yelled, charging towards MJ. "I must pass!"
For some reason, the big pink Pokémon always had to make a big deal out of things, whether it be being desperately afraid or dashingly bold, the Caterpies freind surely was an odd character. The type of Pokémon that you don't want to kick in the face, purely for the fact that you'll attract it's annoying attention. Caterpie rolled it's eyes, wanting out of the battle that was about to kick off.
With a final raging roar, Gastrodon concentrated for a split second, before releasing a massive gush of water towards MJ and her Pokémon. But the water was not ordinary, oh no. Within were concealed ultrasonic waves, with a slight chance of confusing the foe. A water pulse attack.

The two Pokémon managed to get in practically no training in when the Gastrodon ended up following them to the secluded area. Both of them hovered curiously near each other, watching him and wondering why he had come after them. Frenchi had more of an idea about the situation than Esprit did, but a quick telepathic mind read explained everything to her, and also wondered the same thing. It would’ve been rude to read a complete stranger’s mind, so she wasn’t going to do that to the Gastrodon. But now she was wishing she had, because MJ just got soaked with a Water Pulse while they ended up dodging to safety. MJ did have a few moments warning, covering her head just in time before she was frozen with fear and shock. It wasn’t exactly summer anymore, and she was freezing to death already. She struggled to through her sopping wet jacket off of her, and was pretty pissed about the whole thing. There were objects in there that were important, and she didn’t want them damaged by that stupid attack. And then there was some kind of ringing in her ears? It was only giving her a headache, which she did not need. “You…Stupid little…” She was seething from her spot, sending glares at the Gastrodon while standing in her spot. Tugging her hat off as well, even more water splattered on top of her as she threw it on the ground, not caring if it got dirty or not. “I swear to god, one of you better do something.” Mj muttered out from under her breath, the only warning that those two up in the air were going to get before flying down into action. Esprit was right next to MJ with a frightened expression, sensing the dangerous of the cold and water combined as she used a constant Hidden Power in hopes of drying off her trainer. The glowing lights were bright and brilliant, and defiantly more than enough to put her back on the road to good health. Frenchi sighed at the sight, she didn’t want to be stuck with the battling, but it appeared that there was no way out of this. She gave in anyway, and dived onto the Gastrodon’s back with a Comet Punch ready to strike his squishy backside.

The Caterpie winced as the huge water pulse attack felled upon the trainer, her whole being getting completely drenched. The bug Pokémon paused, stammering slightly. <Uh... wait. We-> he corrected himself <I don't want to fight.> he muttered, just barely audiable over the rushing water and screaming trainer.
The Gastrodon sweatdropped slightly, as Mary Jane spat insults at the pink Pokémon. <You were the one that didn't move!> he retorted, paying no mind to the Caterpie. The foul human must let him pass, he had to save his wonderful Shell after all. He was on a mission!
So involved within his brilliant plan of rescuing the eastern gastrodon, he didn't even notice the Ledyba flying towards him. The punch connected, her fist sinking into his backside. Letting out a cry of complaint, he tore away and quickly lashed back out with a Mud Bomb. Hard pellets of mud exploded out of him, hopefully striking and exploding with a blast of filth.
The Caterpie sighed, his friend was all brawn and no brain. Not even much brawn. This was not going to go well.

<Oh, like that matters.> Esprit snorted from the back at the Gastrodon, continuing the source of fire and heat so her trainer could continue to dry off. It was bad enough that she had to stick around in sopping wet clothing, she could get sick! And then where would they be? They would have to be stuck in this route, possibly forever! The thought struck a chord in the Mesprit, and the Hidden Power grew brighter as a heat wave seemed to settle over the group. It was indeed, noticeably hotter around here.
“Do something! Get out of the way!” MJ continued to cry out and rant at the Ledyba, who was struggling to follow her trainer’s orders for the first time. She hadn’t much time to react to the nasty Mud Bombs, and one could only be thankful that her humming wings kept back most of the attack, giving her some sort of resistance to the blow. She was covered in the heavy substance, and while on the ground, began to surround herself in a cage of purple light. MJ had no idea what move she was using, but the Reflect was sure to provide some help for future hits.
“Comet Punch it! Come on! You can do it.” She grunted from her spot, wincing from the blast of the Hidden Power but continued to stay focused on the here and now. Frenchi was still stuck on the ground with mud trapped around in her wings, but with a shake of her wings it was off and she was in the air. With a determined whimper, she scrambled to make multiple hits against the Gastrodon’s head, thinking that if she struck there, he would have trouble preparing another attack so she could back away.

Not another one.
The Gastrodon groaned as the Ledyba freed herself and was aiming another attack at him. How hard headed this human was, all he wanted was to be with his beloved. He was getting pretty worn out himself. This time, instead of trying to take the attack or going against it, the slug pokemon used Harden.
He tightened his muscle so that his usual soft slimy body became rock hard. Certainly the Ledyba's punches made contact, but they were less effective than before. He had a bit of brain in him after all.
The Caterpie kept his distance, though not exactly retreating yet. He wanted to see this through, at least try and drag the remains of his friend, if there were any left after this. He could see that the human was stubborn and so were the pokemon with her, though they seemed much more aware of the damage that Gastrodon could do to them.
He was torn between himself. Should he get involved? Should he try and help his friend?

Frenchi was getting more reluctant with her punches when she realized that the Gastrodon wasn't reacting to them as much as before. Especially her front two arms, which was getting sore from straining them so much, so she gave in and fluttered a safe distance back into the sky. Watching the Gastrodon carefully so she could rethink some of her earlier movements.
MJ was plain impatient at this point, and hadn't noticed any reason for Frenchi to stop her attacks. She wasn't in the mood to think, the strange mix of cold and heat were storming around her, and she was in a bitchy mood to begin with. She glared once more at the Gastrodon, not even noticing the Caterpie, who was so small in comparison and ordered another attack.
"Tackle it!" She ordered, not thinking strategically at this point. Of course, she was still a newbie. Honest to god, what in the world did she actually know about Pokemon battles? She never studied or anything. Frenchi looked down at the Gastrodon and stiffly nodded, it was a dirty job, but she didn't have much of a choice. She sky rocketed down, almost a bit overwhelmed with the swift level boost from that berry from earlier as she made her attack. Esprit noticed that MJ and her clothing was looking much better by now, and called off the heat powering move. She wasn't quite sure what to do at this point, all of the feelings around her were so grim, and negative. She felt so out of place, huddling her tails around her body to try and hide from it all, but there wasn't much she could do.

The Gastrodon quickly frowned as he felt the impact of the Tackle come into contact with his body. <I really don't wanna fight back, but you leave me with no choice!> He yelled, twitching his body a little bit, as if he was about to go crazy. He soon attacked with a few ultrasonic water waves, which traveled mighty swiftly. Gastrodon is using Water Pulse!
<Oh no, now you've pissed him off!> The Caterpie cooed, running around in circles, for what reason? No one knows why. Maybe he was started to worry about the foes, or maybe he was just excited about the battle that seem to have started heating up now.

<You know what? I really don’t want to fight back either. But I’ve got a job to do, kapeesh?!> The Ledyba screeched from where she was, because really, he had no right to go out and attack his trainer. And it was a little late for any kind of apologies, this battle was on! The bright blast of water had started to make her nervous, and temporarily her anger was lost from her fear of pain, and set up a quick Safeguard to help her out. So sure, she didn’t know which shields helped her do what yet, and the damage hadn’t been reduced at all, knocking her down onto the ground once more. Except this time she got herself, and landed on all six of her legs, looking wet, cold, and nervous.
<What now…?> She moaned, placing a paw to her head, wondering what in the world she could do right now. She felt like things were going to end soon, and most of her anger was lost from that blast of water, she was still shivering from it after all.
<Um. Um. Um. Go Frenchi your our girl! So come on now and give a twirl! Gooooooo Frenchi!> Esprit started giggling, spinning around in mid-air unannounced. Something had told her that her new pal needed moral support, and she had a job of friendship to accomplish. <Eh, we did? Oh come on. He doesn’t look that mad.> The Mesprit laughed, carelessly floating over the Caterpie in his crazed panic. Or whatever he was doing.
“Not bad, but we can do better. Get ready for another Comet Punch.” MJ barked from the sidelines, her more pushy side showing as she got used to the power before her. But she seemed to be cooling off as well, starting to show a little bit of sympathy for the Ledyba for trying so hard for her.

The ugly fat thing roared at the Ledyba he was battling as the Caterpie did nothing even though he was techincally there and could be helping, the ugly fat thing planned on using Water pulse on the Ladyba, he hated bugs and the fact that they existed.
He saw the Safeguard pop up out of no where and was angered, she knew what he was thinking, Bugs were know psychics as well?! How terrible, he roared <FAT BUGS NEED TO DIE.> He certaintly didn't have a good past with bug types.
The comet punch hit the poor ugly fat thing as it sighed, he was so close in fainting and just wanted this entire battle to be over, the ugly fat thing launched a Water Pulse at the ledyba.
The caterpie yawned and watched the whole fight, <GO UGLY FAT THING!>
ooc|I'm so confused. and I have no idea what the ugly fat things name is and ily, sorry for a crap post.
