The Bellsprout, encouraged by the success of its plan, grinned as only a plant with a bell for a head could. Its red lips curved upwards in a smile, continuing to wrap its leaves and stems around the Kadabra's extremities. It was holding on for dear life, and had no intention of letting go.
The Rattata, frightened out of its wits, leaped completely over the Absorb bubbles, fueled by adrenaline. Scared and high-strung, the purple rat started running at a breakneck speed for the Lotad, in a wild and uncontrolled Tackle attack.

Roy kept struggling against the weaker Bellsprout's grip, but that wrap attack was like super glue. All of the grass type's energy and weight had been put into this attack, which is what made it so tricky for the Psychic type to escape from. He tried to use another Psychic attack, but the Wrap attack had prevented it. Until this madness ended, then he was going to be stuck fighting for his freedom for a while.
"You can take it. Get your defense up and go." MJ barked at the frightened Lotad, who squeaked in response to the Rattata's wild teeth. They looked like they cold hurt if that ever clamped down on him. Ducking his head so his lillypad like body could defend him, he braced for the attack, whimpering as the attack struck him. The rubbery plant like surface wiggled on contact, absorbing the blow a lot better than his actual body could.
<...huh?> He sniffled with an uncertain air about him, watery eyes that looked like they were about to release waterfalls had started drying up. That had been really scary...
"Use your newest attack. Make a Mist around yourself." MJ had read about this one a while back. It was supposed to protect the Lotad from stat lowering attacks. The Mist attack made a thick watery cloud across the field. It was troubling to look through, and one had to wonder if attacks could be made through it at all. Lotad had felt safer inside of his Mist attack. He could actually feel confidence growing, even if he didn't like this side of MJ. "Absorb." She spoke, her emotions still far away from her body and soul. The Lotad nodded, grunting as the green orbs of energy were flung at the Rattata.

The Bellsprout could feel the Kadabra's tension through the vines, she was growing worried. She was fairly strong, but the Kadabra was stronger and his resistance was getting higher. It was getting harder and harder to hold the attack together.
The yellow sprout clenched her eyes together and sucked her mouth inwards, as she gave a final squeeze. It was painfully tight, if it was around the neck he could've been strangled. Soon afterwards though, the Wrap attack stopped after a measly two turns. The Kadabra had too much fight in him.
The root pokemon leapt back, guarded worry in her eyes. She had no idea what this guy was going to do next. For all she knew he could try to eat her next, it was for this reason the pokemon stepped back nervously trying to keep her distance away from the pokemon.
Meanwhile the Rattata got a mouthful of nasty. With a disgusted groan, the purple mouse flew away from the Lotad and quickly spat out whatever remained of the lilypad on the ground. The Rattata may have been frightened, but it was also grossed out.
<When was the last time you took a bath?> he snapped, before stepping back, as the billowing mist flowed towards him. The light spray of water was refreshing, but he knew whatever this was, was certainly not good. Distracted by the cloudy haze the green orbs quickly attached to his body and he let out a cry of shock.
He ripped the orbs off, but it most of them were already full with his health. It was a large bonus this turn. As the returned to the Lotad the Rattata chased after them, following them to their owner before attacking with a Tackle.

<I don’t remember.> The Lotad stared at the Rattata’s face with a blank expression. Why would the rat even ask such a question? It had seemed so out of the blue. Should he answer back with a question of his own? Should he keep on fighting? His daze had made him lose focus of everything around him once again, and the Tackle had sent him flying onto his backside. He was as trapped as a turtle stuck on its backside. He panicked.
<Wahhh! Help! I’m stuck! Help! Help!> He cried in his immense feeling of fright. He had no way of getting back up on his side unless someone helped him out of it. With a backside that was pretty much flat, there was no chance of rolling side to side in order to escape. Hell. He was even more hopeless than a Squirtle in this situation.
”Lotad, you’re fine.” MJ rolled her eyes, refusing to help the stranded Lotad. Esprit had been nervously floating around MJ’s head, watching the battle with the most confused look she had ever had. What was wrong with her trainer? MJ had been waiting for the Rattata to strike once more. One Tackle could flip the Lotad back up. ”Use Growl to make yourself useful.” She added as an afterthought, showing no emotion when the Lotad let out a feeble, weak Growl from his throat.
Roy couldn’t help but smile sadistically once the Bellsprout released him from her dirty Wrap attack. He rubbed his wrists affectionately, making sure they hadn’t been damaged too badly before focusing his rage on the Poison type. He would’ve loved to eat her right now, oh yes; you couldn’t put it past him. He was a vegetarian after all. The lack of sharp teeth meant he couldn’t eat meat. But he could eat plants like her with ease.
<Die!> He shouted with a sudden burst of power to his left hand, the other holding the Twistedspoon had started to glow. His Psychic attack was growing in power, and he had let the blue aura go from his hands, it’s energy had tried to wrap itself around the Bellsprout to harm it.
