[ooc; You didn't have to post a reply yet, KC. I was going to reply but didn't get to it from being exhausted. XD ]
"That's not too good..." he mused, shaking his head. There was a forecast for hail and snow in the interment hours, was there not? Some trainers just didn't take into forecast the weather, apparently. It was apart of a trainer's job, not just blindly adventuring like all the TV shows and mangas liked to make it seem, especially with that one with the guy... Trash Ketchup, wasn't that his name? Use thundershock on the horn- that was why so many kids lost so many battles, crap like that.
She was pretty, though, and a gentleman just couldn't let her get pelted by hail, so he could offer her a place in his tent or see if Ari was willing to share her tent with the girl. But it was important to eat before the storm came, it'd be hard to cook after snow or hail or other moisture hit, and to do that he'd need to cook.
As his ears tuned in to the campfire side conversation and the cooking Pokefood and Noodles, he almost totally missed out on the mewing noises of the electric cat on the periphery of their camp. But he did hear it, that was for sure, and he nodded to the girl with an "Excuse me" said quickly, before nodding to Scrapheap, and reaching into his cargo pants pocket for a Pokemon Capturing Capsule [Ball] with very particular markings, one which shone green and black in the light of the fire, and one which he stepped away from the fire to use, throwing it towards the little Shinx in the darkness of the night. Hopefully it'd work, as if it didn't his cooking would be disrupted by a pokemon battle, but the cat looked interesting, and was an electric type if his schooling had been correct.
-1 Duskball, thrown to Catch the Shinx or attempt it.

Shinx in Action!
<Huh? What's that?> The Shinx's eyes widened as the dark green sphere clonked it on the head, ruffling up its fuzzy mane. Letting out a small yowl of pain, the sphere sucked it inside. It was confused, yet curious as it rolled around in the sphere. The powers of the darkness over-swept it by a strong force, and it couldn't help but be frightened.
Was this ok? Where was it, anyways? It pawed around at the edges of the Duskball, concerned that whenever it reached out, something would spark back and harm it. It was a futile fear, however, because it found that it had the ability to fight back.
But it didn't want to, as this ball was interesting enough of a place. It had no idea what it meant, but it could go along with the flow for a while.
You Get:
::shinx:: Level 7 Rivalry|| Intimidate Tackle. Leer
No levels due to Shinx not being weakened.

(I do now, probably didn't when you asked though.) "Well, I'm sure your tent is big enough for two." Grey said, batting her eyelashes at the young man, following that by laughing at him. Seriously though, we can cuddle if it gets hella cold, but I've been known to knock teeth out when wandering hands are involved."" Eva was joking of course. Generally, being in the constant presence of a ghost that resembled Death himself, made little boys too nervous to be romantic. This Warren kid seemed less unnerved by Duskull though. Which was alright. She quieted down when he gazed off into the brush. It was fast, him whirling the pokeball. The sound of a successful capture. She was a little amazed at the fluidity. "Nice work." She mumbled, eyes on the pokeball now.

The young man couldn't help but grin as he heard the beeping noise in his Pokedex from the pokemon being sent off to the Pokemon Storage System, the sound of his Pokedex registering the entry clear enough an example that he had caught it as anything else. The icy blue eyes of the young man turned towards the young woman with a nod towards his Magnemite to make sure the pokeball had teleported off to the Pokemon Storage Center, and shaking his head at the girl. His face was a bit flustered- he wasn't used to girls being so well, blunt about things like that, and he hadn't really considered making his hand wander for a copped feel.
"I'm sure you have." he replied, tilting his head, before looking directly at the Duskull. "How long has that ghost been tagging along with you? What's his name?"

Rufus Teally had been making his way down Route One for a few days now, not really interested in traveling fast as no destination had really struck him. His two new Pokémon were outside of their poke balls now though, wandering with him. The large chest of the female scyther he got at the Ranger Station was pressed against his back, letting Rufus carry her sort of. The thin membranes of the insect wings were wiggling letting most of the weight become minuet on the young man’s shoulders. The newest addition of his squad was walking in toe to his right side, a small Houndour. This site was probably odd for most people, but Rufus didn’t want to confine and store away his closest friends in little balls all day. The affection of the trio was likely to be tangible to onlookers, though their inexperience would likely be just as apparent.
Sometime after an hour or two after the initial walk, they spotted an orange blur in the not to far distance. It was odd, just the type of thing that interested Rufus, and his interest was his pokemon’s which was a great comfort even if he didn’t realize it. When he got closed her started to hear some voices, a girls and one he thought was somewhat familiar. He didn’t try to sneak up or anything, just strolled up to what he saw was a tent not but a few dozen yards away from the trail. When he got in view he saw his cousin Warren and some girl he’d never seen before. He heard her offer to cuddle, and threat if Warren was started to be hand-sy. Warren’s reply to shrug off the offer and move to his more comfortable topic of Pokémon was hilarious to him. Rufus’ laugh boomed out making his presence known if one of them didn’t see his small caravan approach. “Just like you Warren, not to know what to say to a pretty girl in these situations." The young man shouldered off his Scyther to try and give his cousin a hug. A gesture he didn’t know if Warren would like or not.

Grey looked over at the Duskull as Warren spoke. "Um..." Duskull had floated near the Magnemite known as Scrapheap, and looked almost as if was sniffing the creature. "Well, I've had him for a couple of years now... I just call him Duskull though." She offered the young man, by way of explanation. She figured she'd follow that up with a bit more on the slowish Duskull. "He's pretty good in a pinch, but not really much of a talker as you can see."
A snap and a rustle in the bushes alerted Eva to something else making it's way toward their campsite. She was a little shocked to see a boy carrying a Scyther on his back. He talked to Warren as if they were comrades, so she fell silent, content with watching the strange young man and his pokemon interact with the other boy.

Warren blinked, so this Duskull was just sort've floating around, as this girls companion? She hadn't given him a name or anything like that...? It wasn't something he had never heard of, but his family almost always gave a Pokémon a name when they started to feel a connection to it. But as she spoke further, the girl spoke of him being an useful tool in her journey, though not much a talker. Without hesitation, it made him blinkingly look over at his Magnemite, Scrapheap, who could fit most of those descriptors himself.
It could've been a nice, silent night- if it wasn't for certain words and the arrival of someone Warren didn't even expect to see here. His cousin Rufus? Really? What was Rufus doing here, did they send him to check up on Warren or something...? No, he was just out on a journey, Warren's gut instinct implied as his cousin's smack talk registered, and his cousin motioned to hug him after those words. Warren swooped to his feet from the sitting position upon the log, and moved to accept the hug, but launched a ninety degree knee into Rufus' stomach.
"Sup, Rufus?" it was offhanded, but didn't seem unwieldy or forced.

Rufus' smile persisted as he approached his cousin, not faltering when he saw the curious girl. Not even as he knew he was probably about to get a family 'treat' in just a second. He was genuinely happy to see his family member up and about looking healthy. This was the first time he had really seen him outside a hospital bed for years. Even when he heard he was setting out on his adventure, he hadn't gone to see him before he left.
As he drew into arms length Warren's face warned him that he was a little to anxious for this embrace, when they touched the blow to his abdomen dropped his balance on his cousin. Growing limp for a second he let his weight drop to catch his breath and whisper, "Not too bad..." a slight cough came from him. He was a bit winded but a second later he withdrew only breathing a bit hard.
A slight hand signal extended to call his now confused and somewhat angry Houndour off an attack path. "It's okay boy... this is my cousin I was talking about a couple days ago." He turned his back to see an indigent looking Scyther staring back at him, obviously a bit unnerved to be in the midst of strangers, but welcoming at the news that she was meeting Rufus' Nest-mate.
"Warren meet Sy and Houndour; Scyther, Houndour this is Warren." Now that the introductions were made, he spoke up to the unknown member of the camp, "And who might you be mate?"
Maybe his arrival would provoke the question of why he was there in the first place as he never wanted to leave home when they were kids.

Eva watched as the two young men treated each other harshly in a ritual of greeting. It reminded her of how certain pokemon will fight to ensure dominance. Very strange. "I'm Grey... but don't hit me or anything." She said, remaining seated.
This Rufus' pokemon looked far more aggressive than Warren's. Large blades on the Scyther's hands, made it appear dangerous even though it rode on his back Houndour's eyes hinted at a fiery temper hidden just beneath the surface. Grey was suddenly very sure that she didn't want to fight with either of these boys.
"Who are you anyway kid?"

Warren simply could not figure it out. Rufus, with Pokemon? Rufus, who had been offered pokemon multiple times by Grandpa Teally and by Warren's mother and father, and each time turned them down? It just seemed like a load of Tauros dung to the young man- and not just a little load of Tauros dung, the sort've stuff that would take a whole herd to make. Unless something really drastic had changed with Rufus' personality while Warren had been in a coma, there'd be no real reason to explain why Warren's cousin was here. The Teally boys hadn't been that close as children, so it made Warren skeptical at best of his cousin just happening on him and being here in Cheyenne.
The dark haired young man tilted his head at his cousin, speaking simply. "Why the hell are you here, Rufus? Did Gramps or Mom send you here to spy?" His nostrils flared in the way that Grey wouldn't notice, but Rufus would know he was a bit irritated, before the young man turned back to the cooking of the Pokefood and the three instant noodle dinners. Let Rufus and this girl talk to each other, Warren had to focus on cooking this food for his Pokemon- and he supposed, the new arrivals Pokemon and Rufus'. Did Gramps give him the Scyther and Houndour to make sure he could follow Warren and give him back up on his quest? That was so infuriating- absolutely positively stupid, but the young man wouldn't let it get to him quite yet.
He simply stirred the Pokefood, and watched the instant noodles cook.

If Rufus could have read Warrens mind he would have laughed for a few minutes solid, if he had his way he would have still been back at home laying under his favorite tree… doing absolutely nothing. That was the way Rufus had always liked things before, devoid of what normal people craved, adventure. Now that Rufus had been pretty much pushed out the door by his grandfather because of a childhood promise to leave when Warren did, it just made sense to him to go to the same place Warren did; even if he didn’t expect to see him.
When asked why he was there like he knew was bound to show up, he went into one of his airy moods again, looking off into the sky and falling onto the ground, not because he wind was still gone, but just because he felt like it. He pondered for a few seconds on what to say, and waited another minute or two after that to respond. “I’m here because of that promise I made when we were kids, that I’d get a life when you found yours…” He laughed for a short moment and then barked out “It’s not like Gramps would ever let me break a promise.” Scrunching up his face with his hands he made what he thought would be a good imitation of his grandfathers wrinkled face and said in a rough singsong voice, “This family doesn’t break promises Rufus, so you won’t either...” he laughed a little bit more before trailing off
Inverting his head to look back at his pokemon he saw that his houndour had plopped down beside his head nuzzling it in what Rufus didn’t know was an act of affection or a cry of boredom. Still a moment later Rufus crawled backwards a space and used the pokemon as a makeshift pillow, in which the young pup didn’t protest. His scyther however being distant to the group at large had plopped herself on the trunk of a nearby tree.
Turning his attention on the girl that was with him he noticed her companion to be a pokemon he didn’t recognize. Slipping back his hand into the side pouch of his backpack he pulled out his pokedex to record the encounter and find out a bit about it.
‘Duskull - This Ghost pokemon is known as the Requiem Pokemon. Making itself invisible, it silently sneaks up to prey. It has the ability to slip through thick walls. It doggedly pursues its prey wherever it goes. However, the chase is abandoned at sunrise. ‘
The Pokedex had answered the question Rufus wanted to know and spouted off more information then he really cared for. He really only wanted to know what to call it if he was asked, though he might just cloak his ignorance with the lie of wanted to record the sighting. After this he was content to just hum to himself while he waited for someone else to talk, well talk to him.
