"EEK!" Roran screamed one final scream as he rolled over onto his stomach. He peeked his head up to see the thing rushing at his precious pokemon. He got up onto his hands and knees and shouted, "GET HIM!" Wow, that was specific. In his fearful state, he really wouldn't be of much help besides some whiny cheering.
<Mmkay, my love!> Kenji shouted back. He had tried to mimick Roran's feminine voice but it hadn't worked out so well. Instead Kenji merely had to try and dodge. Yet again, not working out. He felt stinging all over his body in a fury of pain. He fell down into the slushy ground, leaving muddy snow all over him. Just great. He let out another ember knowing this was his only move that could cause major damage to this jerk face.

The spurts of ember went all over the bug types face, and it began flying in a frenzy to get the burn marks off. Though probing yourself with a needle wasn't the best cure for any kind of injury, so it had to rely on the shiny and smooth part to at least stop the flames from spreading around its body.
Taking a safer position in the air, assuming that Kenji couldn't bite it at least, it began using one of the attacks it knew as a Weedle. Dark purple stingers were flung at the fire type , some missing and going into the snow around them, tainting the snow with a purple tint.
<Like my Poison Sting? I've got more where that came from!> It taunted, raising its front needle in the air.

"Oh no..." Kenji whined in a soft voice as he found himself lowered to the ground in a cowering position. He didn't like this at all. He really did not wish to undergo poisoning all over again. It had felt awful and this time wouldn't be any different. As he saw some fall around him, an idea flashed into his head. He would merely have to deflect them with something. And his ember was all he had. He let loose an ember to try and burn the remaining stingers that were headed in his direction.
Unfortunately for him, the ember wasn't powerful enough. The purple stingers bursted through, catching him as a surprise. The only good news was that they only hit him in his front legs at the bottom. He ran over to Roran, wincing from the pain and whimpered loudly. <SUCK IT OUT!> Pichu shouted as he ran over, the pokedex still in his hands. Pichu used a free hand to pull the little needles out and then motioned for Kenji to begin extracting the poison. While Kenji was working at that, Roran let loose a different pokemon.
<First battle, baby!> the vulpix shouted out. Kuro wasn't very experienced but he'd have to work while Kenji was sucking out the poison before it spread anywhere. He stood in an agressive stance as he waited for an attack. Kuro was far more nimble than Kenji so perhaps this battle would be quick.

Upon seeing its new opponent, the Beedrill sneered to itself at the sight of the tiny Vulpix. Sure, it had no idea that it knew that blasted Ember attack yet, but merely because it was so girly looking. Perhaps it would lend a needle, and make the thing look more manly.
Flying closer to the ground in a much bolder move than before, it used another of its pre-evolution attacks. A sticky thread was being created in its mouth and it was shot out like a squirt gun. The sticky substant, called String Shot, was really meant to annoy the Vulpix. It wasn't taking this battle seriously anymore, now it was just showing off its new wings.

<Fwee!> Kuro cheered as he dodged it with ease. He even showed off a little by doing a flip in mid-air. <You really are going to have to do better than that...> Kuro was actually right for once. Even if Kuro was far more nimble and flexible that the average pokemon, surely this beedrill could find a way around it. It had a brain afterall didn't it. Kuro didn't really feel like attacking just yet. He'd get to the actual battle later. For now he wanted to toy around with the bug. He shook his tails cutely in a Tail Whip and then sat down on his rump.
He closed his eyes and put a paw to his mouth, giving out a great big yawn. He opened his eyes just a peek to see the Beedrill's reaction.

Being ticked off was an understatement, was this Vulpix really trying to toy with it? Now that was a shocker, usually people cowered at the sight of the big bad bug. Thinking that something was clearly wrong, it flew over near Roran to make sure that it didn't lose its magical scaring touch. Swiftly it flew away, the beating of its wings making a constant humming sound as it anxiously waited for some kind of screaming to fill the air.
To kill the time, it started blowing more String Shot around the Vulpix. Attempting to get it stuck in that 'beautiful' fur he owned. Maybe the fire type wouldn't be so confident when it realized that it couldn't run. Or balance, whatever the purpose of tails were.

Roran wasn't much paying attention again only to find the Beedrill suddenly swoop towards him. He assumed it was going to attack and fell over quickly, throwing his arms over his head. He was a great example for his team, wasn't he? Cower at a little bug.
Kuro was having a bit of a difficult time dodging these ones since there were simply too many. There wasn't much of a gap between them for him to jump through. He managed well enough on only got a little on his leg and on the tuft of fur on his head. He put a paw to his head and felt the stick goo for a moment. <Aw...my tuft...> he moaned. He was a bit of a prissy boy. He liked to look good at all times, making him more of a contest pokemon than anything. He was angry enough to the point in which he decided to start attacking back. He let out a small ember. Nothing compared to Kenji's but it was still good enough to hurt if it hit. He just wasn't experienced enough to let out a decent attack yet.

Again? The Beedrill paniced when it realized what kind of attacks that this Vulpix knew, and tried to turn away at the last second. Earning its abdomen, coughcoughbutt, coughcough, a nasty looking burn mark. Hissing from the pain, the bug type quickly became serious.
Choosing wisely to stay in the air in order to dodge any incomming fire attacks, while preparing itself to use the attack that sent Kenji out of the battle. Maybe it would scare off this one? Poison Sting once again, shooting the air-type missles at the ground, some of them accidently cutting the String Shot it left out. Only separate sticky spots remained on the ground as the flying bug tryed to make an accurate hit.

Kuro began to dry and dodge again. This dodging was a bit more of a dodge than before. He didn't try to flip this time and simply ran away from the spray of stingers. As he ran, something awful for him happened. His foot landed right in the stick spots left from the string shot. His other paws kept moving even with one stuck, causing him to fall over awkwardly. The poison sting hit him then and he winced in pain. He looked to his body and gave a sigh of relief. He wasn't poisoned thankfully.
<You criminal!> Kuro shouted as if he were batman. <I shall make you pay for your injustices...> With that said, he quickly let out another ember. Once again it was nothing compared to Kenji's but it would slowly get better if they practiced.

The beedrill was ready this time. It buzzed to the side, hissing with pain as the ember scorched a side of its transparent wing. It darted higher into the air, then hid in the cover of a tree. However, it soon burst out with another Poison Stick. This time it was hidden, and quickly darted to another side of the tree. It was trying a new strategy. The Vulpix would now have to play Hide and Seek.
<Take that!> The beedrill yelled, releasing sting after sting. The burn in its stomach still hurt, and slowly it was health- very slowly. Hopefully the Poison Sting would hit and poison the small fox pokemon. If not, the beedrill was out of cards. It was all played out.
((I'm almost all modded out. xD))

Kuro tried to endure the poison sting as much as he could. He let it hit him as he shot embers up into the trees. He wasn't really aiming for the beedrill but instead all of the trees in general. The beedrill wouldn't be able to hide in the trees if they were burning! But during the poison sting, Kuro began to feel strange. A strange pain shot throughout his suddenly, taking away energy but then it disappeared. Kuro lost his balance a little, and began to stumble. Well dodging was now out of the picture and that pain would be back, He was poisoned.

Slowly the trees around them began to catch on fire, smoke was turning black as they spread from leaf to leaf. It only caught on a couple of the trees, because some of the embers simply died out because they had nothing nearby to burn. The ones that did, was really ruining the Beedrill's new attack plan.
The smoke was getting unbearable for the bug type, and was forced to fly out into the open. Parts of its body were slightly charred, meaning that some part of the tree had seriously hurt the Beedrill. Coughing out some of the smoke, the beedrill sent out a Poison Sting, though it wasn't aimed very well this time due to coughing every couple of seconds.

Perhaps because it wasn't aimed well was what made it the hardest to dodge. Normal attacks would be predictably aimed right at the pokemon. This one was far too iradic to be predictable. The vulpix tried to dodge to the best of his ability, but his ability wasn't very good right now. He stumbled to the left and right, trying to see if he could even attempt to escape the onflow of stingers. When it seemed like it was all over, Kuro quickly shot another ember at the newly visible beedrill. The ember had the strangest tint of purple to it. The poison was probably spreading even into his attacks.

Letting out a screech of pain from the different and perhaps more dangerous ember attack, the Beedrill just had to call it quits. At least keep some of its dignity, fly away if it could. Those were nice thoughts, humorous to any mind readers that saw the Beedrill staggering to a faint. How its ideas were becomming more and more impossible, eventually it became so tired from all of the super effective fire moves that it fell to the ground.
It looked pretty dangerous while it was fainted on the ground. Disturbing even when it was unconsious, mostly because of not having eye lids. One couldn't even tell if it was faking or not.
Nevertheless, all participating Pokemon gain one level. Catch or move on?
((Meh, I know for sure that a Beedrill in any Pokemon game would be dead by now...So...))

"Hmm..." Roran mumbled as he pulled out a spare pokeball. He was considering not catching this thing because he was nearly positive that he'd never really use it in a battle. He picked up Kuro and carried him over to where Kenji was. "Kenji, show him how to get rid of the poison." Even that small action was good enough time for him to think catching the beedrill over. He walked right over to the beedrill and kneeled down next to it. With the spare pokeball in hand, he bopped the thing right on the head with it. "Could've had a V8" he giggled to himself.

The Pokeball absorbed the Beedrill as soon as the button was pressed. Getting itself into that cramped up body brought some sort of peace to the bug type, it was just like being a Kakuna again. Safe and warm, and of course it didn't have the energy to fight against the capsule. You have captured~

"Heh..." Roran muttered to himself. One more member for his ever-growing team. "It won't be long until we have a huge family." He put the pokeball away and quickly let out the rest of his team. Once everyone was out, he crossed his arms. With a completely serious yet strangely funny look on his face, he began, "Look you guys. We have a gym battle comming up. Our first statement in this league. If we impress this gym leader than our names might end up going around the entire region. Soon enough everyone will know us as the champs!" His serious expression was quickly broken with one of excitement. "So from here on, we are going to do some super-intense training." He began to walk infront of each pokemon thinking intensely. He stopped infront of Kenji first.
"Kenji, you've got some extreme power in you. But you can't dodge very well." He moved on and then stopped infront of Kuro. A brilliant plan was begining to form in his head. "Kuro, you are the exact opposite of Kenji. You are the most nimble pokemon I've ever seen, but you can't sustain a decent flame for very long. I want the two of you to work together. Train eachother." He nodded to the two of them as they ran off to train. He moved on to the next pokemon, Pichu.
"Pichu. I really want you to train with Patch. I want you to keep using electric type attacks on him, we'll see if he can absorb it and turn it into energy for his own attacks. To power up your attacks, absorb static from the air. If you two can learn to absorb static and electricity, your attacks will become super-powerful." That whole idea had been something he'd been working on for awhile. He was sure that electric pokemon could do that, but what sort of training would they have to undergo to master it? He finally stopped at Shinx and Fleur.
"Shinx, Fleur is only a child. I want you to play some games with her. Training games of course. You, yourself, are already a really good pokemon. We just need to raise your level," Roran handed Shinx a stick to use for a game and nodded them off. He stuck his head up proudly. Surely today's training would go well.
<Okay. I want you to run through this thicket. I've painted some parts of it. Come back with no paint on and you pass,> Kuro said as he motioned to a large cluster of tightly packed...bamboo? Kenji walked a bit closer and sniffed it. It didn't smell like bamboo. A giant thicket of bamboo like trees, how strange. How the heck was he suposed to get through this without any paint? He gave himself a growl of confidence as he ran straight through. He appeared moment later covered in pink paint.
<You didn't say there were buckets that would be pouring down.> Kenji snarled angrily.
<Attacks come from everywhere! What you've got to do is be unpredictable. You ran straight through just as I PREDICTED you would. Run around, use your senses, and be unpredictable.> Kuro said with a nod.
<While I do this again, I want you to work on your ember. Do it like this:> Kenji paused and looked towards a nearby tree. He took a large inhale in. He waited a while until he felt a burning sensation at the back of his throat. He let it build and build until he finally released it at the tree. <Experiment with it a bit. You can change the size, where it goes, and how fast it goes. Someday we'll be able to mold it's shape and make it far more powerful.> Kenji ran back into the thicket, trying to be as unpredictable as possible while Kuro stayed and tried to work on his flame. The problem was that he always let it go before it built up, making it a very small flame. Even with the small flames, he tried to practice his aim by hitting certain branches of the trees.
While they were working on that Pichu and Patch were in the middle of a battle. Patch was on the ground, struggling to get up. Pichu stopped his Thundershock to see if Patch would get up. Patch twitched on the ground and slowly made his way up. Absorbing the electricity was a lot harder than it seemed. <It's alright Patch. It's probably because you don't know any electric moves yet.>
<Probably...> Patch groaned. His tail and ears were drooped from being tired and sad. A small spark shot throughout his body and he suddenly got that joyous smile back on his face. <We're going to try it again and again until I do get it right!> His tail wrapped around him as he prepared himself for another attack.
<Okay, go find it!> Shinx said as he returned to Fleur. He had hidden the stick somewhere nearby and she'd have to find some way to get to it. She walked around for only a moment before finding the stick in a tree. It stood out since it had been painted pink with Kuro's paint. Fleur looked up into the tree and pointed to it. <No, you have to get it yourself,> Shinx said with a laugh. He sat down and watched Fleur struggle to get up the side of the tree.
"Good job everybody. Keep it up. Only a few more weeks...or months...or years of this before we go to the gym and try it out for real!" -Begin Writer Sarcasm- Yeah, he really knew how to get them motivated. YEARS of this route?

ooc: I don't think that these trainers get enough action. =p BIC: "Hey! Get back here, you crazy bug!" A young boy's voice echoed throughout the route, making several Pokemon hiding in the bushes run away in fear as they heard approaching footsteps coming their way. The first living thing to come out from the darkness of tree's was a Butterfree, holding a giant butterfly net in its hands. Having the most mischevious look in her eyes as she anxiously turned around to see if her trainer was coming. Sure enough, his voice was getting louder and louder. <Freedom to the bugs! Muahahaha~> She chanted, before attempting to fly away farther. Instead, she ran head on into the tree that Fluer was trying to climb up. Slowly she dropped the wooden net, before sliding down to the ground and hopefully not ontop of the baby Cherubi. Panting heavily, the voice from earlier climbed over some of the bushes before collapsing to the ground. Lazily he looked up to see his Butterfree laying on the ground near a tree. Figures... Groaning, he struggled to stand up but after running for so long his legs felt like they would fail him.

Fleur was having trouble climbing it as it was. The slightest movement would cause her to fall. The butterfree flying past was definately enough to make her crash. She fell onto the ground below with a thud. Tears began to pour out her eyes from the obvious pain she felt. It wasn't even over yet. When the butterfree slid down the tree, Fleur was right in her way. She looked up in fear as something large with wings crashed down upon her. She screamed out instantly in a panic. <RORAN! SHINX!> she called out, tears still flying.
Shinx was obviously quick to hear her pleas for help. As his fury against this butterfree go, so did his power. This attack was a Charge so that he'd get himself ready for this next attack. He bolted forwards, his body still sparking from the Charge. It began to spark even more as the real attack came through. He moved forwards, running even quicker, to tackle this pokemon in a fury of electricity. This was his Spark attack.
Roran looked away from Pichu and Patch's battle to see a trainer. He had not heard Fleur but he could sense something was wrong. Anytime there was another trainer, something was bound to go wrong, right? Spotting Shinx attacking a butterfree, Roran was quick to jump to conclusions. Shinx was extremely hard to anger even if he was over-protective of Fleur. That meant only one thing. Somehow this butterfree had harmed Fleur. Roran walked over to the trainer, a strange anger lurking within each stride. "What the heck have you done to my pokemon?" This was his conclusion jumping. But who could blame him? Everyone gets a bit tense if their pokemon are harmed.

The boy was still letting in deep breaths and forcing them out as Roran approached him. Great, now he was going to get scolded by this adult. Of course, they just loved picking on kids like him, didn't they? He thought before standing up, sending glares into the other males eyes.
"Hello? Can't you see I'm over here, not there. I did nothing." He pointed over to his Butterfree, and then gasped when he realized that Free just got hit by the Spark attack. His eyes widened when he saw his precious, yet very impish, Butterfree get knocked back several feet. That charge made the attack a lot worse than it would've been, and with an angry huff it began to Harden its body for protection. It wouldn't recover the lost damage, but it needed some kind of safety before it flew above the Shinx in a rampage.
<Get lost, you rat!> She hissed, those giant wings beating furiously to contain the rage she held.
"Dangit! Free..." He muttered, trying to finish his business from earlier by walking around the battle to grab his Butterfly net. This thing was one of his most prized possessions, and had been trying to get it back from his Pokémon all day.
"Can't you control your Pokémon? Making them attack an innocent Pokémon like Free." Ugh, those words secretly stung the boy. He had trouble with his Pokémon as well, after the occurrence of events, but the other one he owned was obedient. So he just assumed that Free was always going to be this wild.
